From being welcomed at the…read moredesk (I am so sorry I can't remember his name!), to our awesome guides Justin and Jasmine, to Scott who helped at the swing and doing the belay to get us down - we truly enjoyed the whole experience (despite the unbearable heat this weekend). Justin and Jasmine made sure we stayed hydrated, and regularly brought us into the air conditioning to avoid overheating. They ensured our safety every moment we were there. The rope course was insanely fun, the giant swing and zip line were a blast and our favorite part was honestly the rock climbing! Justin and Jasmine were fantastic - we will definitely come back (preferably not during a heat wave haha) and hope they will be our guides again - every single person today made it memorable for my family! This should be an opportunity to identify a solution comfortable for everyone affected by providing single use options, as opposed to telling my daughter "it's ok because he identifies as a she". It caused an uncomfortable situation for girls and concerns for parents. No young girl should feel uncomfortable or anxious using the restroom.

We spend a bunch of time on the nice little playground for a range of ages, with climbers, swings, slides, benches, and picnic tables. It had plenty of nearby shade. There were facilities near the playground. This park is centered among miles of hiking trails. From one or another of the baseball diamonds you can access the Putuxent Branch Trail and the River Trail along the Little Patuxent. Crossing the river on a little wooden foot-bridge, you have the Wincopin Trails and the Savage Mill Trail. We have to come back and try out the trout-fishing in the river! We didnt visit them all, but they say they have 2 basketball courts, 5 baseball/softball fields that say permits-required, 2 sand volleyball courts, 4 tennis courts, plus a large open field that can be used for other sports, games, and events. There's a rentable pavilion. We didnt see the fire-ring or horseshoe pit. This time that we went there, (Jun 2026), they had a well-attended little league tournament going on. That made parking tighter than usual, but many seemed to be attending specific games, so spots came open pretty often. They also had at least four different food trucks! We tasted them all! Quite a nice park that seems small until you start exploring everything it has to offer!

Came here for some interval training and was really impressed with how beautiful and clean the…read moretrack is. There are also plenty of other fields and facilities for different activities, along with plenty of parking. There's no traditional running track, but this setup works perfectly for me. The bathrooms are also clean and don't smell, which is always a plus! It's still new, so I hope they keep everything this well-maintained. I'll definitely be back to use the basketball and tennis/pickleball courts!

It even has disability friendly options and party zones. I love taking my kids here to just run free. The only downfall I see is when some neighborhood teenagers come around and play aggressive tag games and curse. It is a place for smaller children and they are welcome, but bring inappropriate and unsafe behaviors.

There are many displays with information suitable for school age kids and students of all ages. The staff and volunteers are knowledgable and friendly. We went primarily to ride our new gravel bikes. There is paved road (Wildlife Loop, except it isn't a full paved loop). There are multiple multi use, unpaved trails. They are of various degrees of difficulty. We are just starting, so only went a mile or so up each. We will keep coming back and working on our skills and confidence. It's not totally flat, but not too difficult if you know how to use your bikes gears. From our limited experience the weekends are busier. We went on a weekday and it was mostly empty. Parking lot (with bike racks on rear) can be a little tight at the visitor center.

Severn Run Natural Environment Area is protected lands located off a somewhat isolated, one-lane,…read moreeach way road. There is no designated parking area, just pull off on the side of the road. There is no hard top. This area is true wooded, wetland along Severn Run. You are allowed to fish and hike only. If you are going to fish right at the pull off feel free. However, if you are not a true, informed outdoorsman and dressed (boots & backpack) for the terrain, I would not advise you to go out solo nor far from the road. With that said, I may revisit. Note: There is mention of an established trail on-line but I did not see one from the directions I received.
