    Fountain at night

One of the few places to hangout at nighttime without going to a bar or restaurant with the family. You can park at whole foods and buy some food or snacks and enjoy it at the benches or tables they have around the lake. Seems like a pretty safe area to go for an after dinner walk as well. Some areas does get pretty dark so I would recommend going with a group

"Some old-fashioned things like fresh air and sunshine are hard to beat." My new favorite pastime in this covid era is enjoying more of the outdoors. This place is among my top 5 favorites!! The scenery here is perfect! It's peaceful, not too big but spacious enough. I bet at sunset it's beautiful! I will be back soon just for that photo opp - IG worthy. I was randomly looking up places to walk earlier this morning and Lake Kittamaqundi (the official name) popped up. It was a bit confusing at first how to get in and I thought my GPS was failing me. Pretty much, you're parking in the Whole Foods parking lot across from the mall! It was fairly early in the morning so there wasn't much of a crowd at 7:30. I was cool with that but still kept my mask on. There are signs up encouraging social distancing! I saw groups and individuals enjoying this lake. Some were just walking like me, some were running, on bikes, fishing, just sitting and taking in the ambience. I took a bunch of pics. I'll be back to take more :)

Near the parking lot, with ramp, walk-under fountain.

Lovely, beautiful lakefront park next to Whole Foods with a walk under large fountain, climbing area and slide, lovely garden plantings and scenic nature trails - main trail around the lake is paved. Great for seniors and young families with strollers, as well as anyone going for a walk, run walk, or interested in the fitness stations, balance beams, step-ups, squats and more. Many beautiful plantings, pollinator gardens enhance the beautiful lakeside vistas. Afterwards, easy to shop at Whole Foods for breakfast, lunch, groceries,

A Hidden gem I wasn't sure I wanted to share!!! Have you ever found a place where you've felt complete solace and peace? This is how the lakefront felt to me. I had some nostalgic memories of my childhood spent on the Atlantic City boardwalk!! They had me at boardwalk!!! The waterfall statue was delightful and intriguing. I plan on using the trail around the lake for exercise during the summer. They had several restaurants bordering the lake and places to eat, drink, and fish. This is definitely an oasis and I can't wait to come spend more time at this lake.

The maze of features are y'all enough so that adults can access all elements and thus play with or keep track of their kids, which is a HUGE plus. I have beautiful toddler, and she has a crazy over protective father. So we tend to stay away from crowds, especially bigger kids. So I look on Yelp to see what else was near and I find Long Gate Park. We make the trip over which was maybe 10 minutes away, and when we get there i'm blown away. This place is nice! We park the car (the lot is huge, its actually a park and ride), and head down to the play area. This park is very well kept. No high grass, No trash, Nice equipment. The park has 2 play areas. The first one is huge, and takes up the majority of the play area, and is where most of the kids play. The other is smaller, and off to the side. Perfect for that over protective parent who feels the need to isolate, but all the kids there today looked to be 3 and under. So I let my daughter go where she pleased. There is a pavilion area near the playground with a grill, and a bathroom with water fountain on the opposite side of the grounds. Behind the bathroom are tennis courts, and also a trail to walk or bike. Therw are benches all around the play area, and most of them have canopies above. There is also wall climbing and a basketball court. The main play area has shade from overhead canopies throughout the equipment, and safety rails all over. The park sits on recycled rubber, so no dirt or annoying wood chips. There is also another area of the park that has a baseball field, more pavilions, and an athletic complex. Easily one of the better playgrounds in the area. I will definitely be returning in the near future.

After building spaceships we were taken to the planetarium so the kids could travel to space. The kids loved seeing the different stars and planets. I enjoyed the show myself as well. It's been quite some time since I've been to a planetarium. After the initial show the kids ate pizza and cake and then returned to the planetarium. The second time in the planetarium they watched a movie about the stars and evolution. It looks like there's so much to see and do here, I'll definitely have to return to experience some of the other things they have to offer. However, I can definitely recommend having a kids party here. I would say ideally for someone in kindergarten and older.

We frequent the outdoor areas with our family. They have short easy hikes that cross a little creek, excellent for kids. There is a playground with a slide, hammocks, musical instruments, building blocks, and a mud kitchen. They put on outdoor plays and they have a kids garden area where they host events and classes. We prefer the outside to the inside. The inside has a discovery play room for kids with some creatures, toys, and dress ups. There are a couple exhibits and animals to view inside as well. We attended a 3 year old birthday party here and it was a hit. They have different themes and activities. This one had a play and the kids got to meet and touch a turtle.

We took a three-year-old there for an outing in bright slightly-cool weather. Up until Easter, they had easter-egg hunts all day, separated each time into age-groups, smartly organized so that the kids trade in the eggs afterwards for a goodie-bag, so the competition for eggs wasnt too fierce. We took a train ride around the farm. And the newest pony was still getting used to the situation, so instead of riding, we joined in gentle grooming and pampering. A lovely fun morning! It's on a 7th-generation family-owned farm, and it's open Tuesday-Sunday and some Mondays, 11-5 or so. There's low-cost tickets for entry and for some of the activities, and there's lots of free parking. Their produce stand is open July-Sep. And after the olds reminisce about the restored decor that Clark's Elioak Farm rescued 20 years ago from good old Enchanted Forest, there's a nice (unrelated) wine bar and restaurant across the street :-)
