Never thought much about it. Then I stumbled upon Nirvana! You know those stories of hidden treasures? Yeah, that one - not the ones where you have to work hard to achieve it, just find it. Early one Sunday going to the lake, I needed food and this was the only spot on my route. What a blessing! I picked up a breakfast taco labeled Brisket and was luckier than Charlie Bucket when he opened that last bar!! It was SO good. It was just a wonderful, large tortilla with a madly juicy and unbelievably tasty brisket. Where did this come from?? I felt like Paleo Man from the past. Just great brisket and enough to satisfy Fred Flintstone. I also got an egg and bacon, but I never imagined how big the first one was. I took a few bites to sample and the egg was great but the bacon was wimpy and limp. But I didn't care. That brisket was fantastic! So, get your gas. Go about your normal life and occasionally get a fountain drink. But if you want a mind blowing treat, return early on a weekend to get their breakfast tacos made on site.

The store is always clean and well stocked with your typical convenience store items. They are located on NB I-35, exit 206, but it can be tricky exiting and then trying to turn into their driveway. The better and safer way is to take exit 207. Getting back on the highway can be challenging as well. If you exit on the North side of the parking lot, you have to shoot over to the far left to take the on ramp back on I-35. The safer option is to exit on the South side of the parking lot to gain a little more distance to take the on ramp. However, sometimes this option is worse as 18 wheelers park on the edge of the feeder road blocking your view. So the safest route is to get on the feeder, travel down a bit, to the next on ramp.

This used to be one of my favorite places to stop. Did management change or was there a big employee shakeup? Not sure but the standards continue to drop every time I take a change at stopping there anymore.

The interior is quite small probably about 1000 ft.². Nonetheless, they do have plenty of cold beer with a few craft beer choices, and even some wine. There is a 7-11 on the corner and some other gas station/convenience stores around so we were going there, when I saw Tiger Fuel. It's basically an old gray quonset that isn't super appealing to the eye. The second I saw it I said to my wife "I'll bet that place has a little of everything." I was 100% right. I have never seen a store that has such a variety in inventory. Of course they have inner tubes, bathing suits, hats, and everything you could possibly think of to be on the river but they have all manner of cookware, food products, beer and wine, jewelry, grinders, knives, and a great selection of beverages. We went back the next day just to walk around and marvel at how much thought they put into stocking their store. They obviously know what people need and pay attention to their customers. And they hooked up and were on the way to my house within 5 minutes of them getting to us! Definitely will use them again if I ever need a tow, crossing my fingers I won't need a tow truck for a while if not ever but they will be my first and only call for sure!! Thank you Tristan's Towing we were in a bind and y'all came through and got our Jeep home with no issues, y'all are awesome, keep it up guys!!

The staff are always willing to print a receipt in the store, but I am hoping the owners will update the pumps for the ease of customers and staff alike.

Also they carry numerous types of bottled water that I like such as SmartWater and Austin based H2Orange. Factor in the constant supply of non-HFCS sodas in the cooler and I am quite happy Beer prices are competitive with the Randall's nearby but that really isn't hard to do and the selection may actually be better. Combine all of this with friendly cashiers this place has become my local corner store even though it is not the closest one to my home. Only negatives are that they do not have non-HFCS sodas in the fountain machine and the parking lot can become a challenge.
