Being an amateur furniture maker myself and also having been in the wood industry my whole career, I love wood. The furniture that Brent and his craftsmen make at Clear Lake Furniture is top notch. They have many different designs that you will not find in any furniture store and the quality is exceptional. After we checked out the showroom with a good representation of the what they can do I noticed a sign on the doorway that leads down to there shop which invites you to go down and explore the shop and talk with their craftsmen. Well I couldn't pass that up so down we went. We were welcomed by Mark who was very glad to show us around and see some of the beautiful woods they use to make their amazing furniture. He also explained that each piece of furniture is made by one craftsman from start to finish. So if you are interested in some handcrafted custom furniture, do yourself a favor and check them out. Checked on it two months later and was told it had not been ordered. This is over a period of nine months. The boss contacted Lazy Boy and was told it would be ready in 6 weeks. Finally got it. Not good service at all. Happened by there this week, June 16, 2025. The store was locked with Sheriff's Eviction Notice and No Trespassing Notice on the door. There are several floors with aisles of merchandise. You can spend hours browsing for items. On nice days they sometimes have a flea market in the parking lot with all sorts of items including antiques. There is always ample parking. A must stop if in Vermont.

By the time we arrived at the store, she had a plan to share and multiple suggestions of how to arrange the room. What was extraordinary was how she arranged to meet with us before the store opened in order to insure us extra time and provide us a completely safe, non-threatening and sanitized environment during the COVID pandemic. Her upbeat manner carried over as she followed us home to measure our space and mark out where the chosen pieces would go. Nobody does this! But she did! Moreover she was available for carpet consult and other extras. Not only did we save ourselves a 3 hour round-trip to Nashua's larger furniture stores, but we had her undivided attention and commitment to making the right purchases for our home.
