Across the train tracks in the community is the park because it's small it is referred to as a pocket park. It's a very nice park only two was in. There is a small skate park and many thinks to play on the park has plenty of benches and picnic tables the only draw back no barbeque grills and no restrooms.i would recommend for a short play date

It's locked when it's closed which is good. There was quite a scene opening day, guessing it's died down since then. Ramps bowls rails you name it. Some seating areas. Sadly parking is bad, it's hard to access from the street in any direction so you'll definitely have to walk if you drive. Or just ya know, skate there.

Not to mention all the drug addicts that walk the streets. I should have taken a picture of the crack head without a shirt on. She was definitely confused. Not to mention the construction worker standing at his car trunk in his underwear and t-shirt. Luckily, he was only changing his clothes after work. Maybe the park bathroom might be more appropriate. Well, you get the idea about this park....

Another Baseball season and community has to deal with bad dirty benches (pressure wash that park) during practice they have to limit the time frame as not all Baseball lights work, too many blind spots. Better practicing areas for children that actually want to get involved in sports. They are doing a new playground so nothing much for toddler to do. The current small playground has lots of red flags /unsafe ,they need to do periodically inspections of playground as well. It's a small community and high taxes collected we need better parks. I thought the only place to place pickleball in Carson was Dignity Health Sports Park, though I don't spend much time in Carson at all to know. This may be my new favourite spot to play during the day! I have visited Hemingway Park both during weekday mornings (mainly Friday) and a couple of week nights after work, and the vibes are massively different. The morning crowd is much more welcoming and relaxed. Although there are competitive games, the people are super friendly and laugh more. That is my type of crowd! Even from my first visit, people introduced themselves, gave me the low down, and were happy to have me jump in a game. The evening crowd seemed a lot more serious, which is not why I play pickleball. Plus, the mosquitoes come out in the evenings. No, thank you! There are 2 courts for novice players, 4 courts for intermediates, and 2 courts for the advanced players. The park has a small parking lot, so you may need to look for street parking. The park also has a nice playground and a track the runs around the park. It seems like a great place for friends and families! If you happen to come play pickleball on a Friday morning, then look for me for a friendly game! Most Fridays, you'll find music playing and a great, diverse crowd of players!

The track is small but it is fun, and it works the legs...I was able to use my skatepark board. There is a skatepark right next to the pumptrack, it's small but fun. It was fun to cruise around and I was able to see a young man skate it properly doing tricks that I cannot do. Very fun, I will be back!

It was very creative that they didn't throw away old/broken skate boards but they put it up as art. I loved it. I went in the shop and I saw that this was a small and a pup was waiting by the door to greet me. This place was such a total dudes dudes shop. Very chilled and chillax atmosphere. The owner explained to me the difference of boards and helped me pick a board for my 18 months baby. I think this place is cool and will be bck to change wheels on the future.

Bought a Velotric online, with seat, post and mirror extras, to be built for pickup in shop. The…read moreconfirmation said they'd email me with instructions. No email after a week, so I emailed to ask the status and was told the main extra (shock absorber post) was being shipped there and would arrive within a week, and asked me to pick it up and bring it back in when the part arrived. I wrote back that I don't drive unless I have to (medical), have never ridden an e-bike so would be transporting it home to learn to ride it, and so asked him to store it until the part was in and it was a full build. Scott accommodated, and I got a fully built PERFECT bike for me yesterday. Scott helped me load it into my SUV (a tight fit, so grateful for his help) and I shook his hand. Got it home, unloaded it, and am more than excited to learn a new healthy habit. Thank you, Scott!

There was also a couple inside the children's pirates themed enclosure acting suspicious and most likely using drugs. The couple wouldn't leave although the other parent asked them to. I was left feeling uneasy when the parks and recreation worker refused to check the enclosure for left over drug paraphernalia. I wouldn't go back.
