The Wilson Brothers installed a new Lennox AC unit and a new furnace at our home this past March. They were efficient, neat and very professional. We have used Wilson Mechanical for years for all our HVAC needs, but no longer! Not sure what is going on with this company with the family drama and confusion caused by now two different entities: one owned by the son who left the firm, and the original owners at the original company with only one service person! Service person was rude, snide, condescending. After fixing what should've been a simple repair on our water heater, he caused a backup of sediment so now two sinks don't work causing us another problem having to contact a plumber and their response was "sorry but we're not plumbers". They never even told us this could've been an after effect of what they were doing. Just wanted their money and run - service person even threatened to keep charging us labor if we didn't pay up everything right away! Not even willing to work with us after years of being a good customer. Horrible, horrible, horrible service! DO NOT USE THESE SHYSTERS!!!! read more

Wilson Mechanical is truly coming to our rescue when we've been put off by other local companies. Our ac and furnace have both gone out and they are able to get right out to install new just before the real heat hits. I am so thankful for such a wonderful and caring company. This company must think intimidation is a tactic when someone leaves a bad review on Google! Likely don't get much visibility here, but these guys aren't worth the time! I left a bad review and I was asked to remove it or else! Not sure what they can possibly do for leaving a bad review on their service, or lack thereof! They shared my home address in the reply of my review and accused me of doing drugs on the voice mail! See for yourself! Pictures don't lie! read more

We have used Wilson Mechanical for 10+ years and always top quality. They have always been prompt, knowledgeable and right on the mark with their recommend solutions. For example when we had our home built the builder installed a lemon HVAC system and we had to call service out once a year. We called Wilson, they identified the issue and the system has not required a service call to fix in over 5 years. My extended family use them as well and also confirm the quality. Disorganized. Repairman could not make his AC gauges work as he was trying to assess what was wrong with the AC. He ended up putting in 3 lbs of Freon at $70 per lb. as a guess. He never determined what caused the Freon to escape. Service call extra and worked by the hour. It was North of $500 all in..... 7 months later no Freon..... and the AC running non stop. I called to have them to redo their work only to find out that even though they said there work was warrantied they now say there is NO WARRANTY! Additionally you should know that they charged my charge card TWICE! I caught it on my charge card statement, and called to inquire why the double charge? The answer was sorry about that!!! I WAS BILLED TWICE .....HAD I NOT CAUGHT THIS IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A THOUSAND DOLLARS + FOR THIS REPAIR THAT WAS A FAILURE! AVOID DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS FIRM AT ALL COSTS read more

Serviceman (Jason) came in AFTER another company (I shall not name) had been to the house 7 TIMES. Jason was able to identify in ten minutes and had it repaired in less than an hour. Cost me just under $200, and worth it! Worth it because almost 60 days ago the warranty company sent out a repairman who identified one of two units was bad and they installed a new Air Handler, but for the next 30 days the new unit would never shut down and on a warm day the unit could not get the temperature down below 76 and on hot days it was 80 upstairs. The unit ran non stop, except for the cool mornings. So, throughout the 7 service calls, they installed a new compressor, an air handler unit and then 5 follow up calls to try to figure out why the unit wasn't cooling the upstairs. On the 7th trip, the owner came out and just as two of his other workers did, he check the compressor unit, then checked he air handler unit and then tells us our unit was "undersized" for the down stairs causing the upstairs to continue to run. We asked how did it work just fine for FOUR years, prior.... and he priced me new unit for the lower (nearly $9,000). We then called Wilson Mechanical who showed up about 2 hours after they left and found they wired one of the two heating elements into the Y call (Air Condition), so that every time the A/C was turned on, one of two heating elements was turned on countering the A/C. Jason fixed it and then sealed the Air Handler unit better than the original company. Three hours later and the upstairs has gone from 79 to 73. So, Company A comes out 7 times over 2 months with three different technicians and in the end wants to sell me a $9,000 unit, Company B (Wilson Mechanical) came out one time and had it figured out in ten minutes; Jason and Wilson Mechanical can use me as a reference. read more

What a great family owned business!!! Jim, Jason & Justin Wilson are the perfect combination of honesty & hard work people today are looking for. After 23 years my AC unit was finally starting to give out. The AC was still working but just not cooling the home well and was horribly inefficient, etc. I contacted Jason at Wilson Mechanical to come out and give us a thorough inspection/estimate of our home unit. Jason was out to our home within 2-3 days. My major concerns were the that the upstairs level of our two-story home was always so warm feeling in the summer and cold in the winter. Plus, on the hottest of summer days my failing AC unit just could not keep up with the extreme temps. Jason spent about an hour going over our concerns, all the while detailing what sort of things he could do to help remedy our issues. Jason is very knowledgeable about the business and is great at listening to his customers in order to understand exactly what they are looking for. In the end, Jason ended up talking to us about a "zoned" system that works more efficiently to heat and cool difficult areas of your home. The estimate he sent us 3 days later was very detailed and gave us several options that we could look at for price differences. On the installation day, Jason arrived early to get started on the job, knowing that it would be a full day of work to remove and install an AC/Furnace unit (including installing an electronic damper system for our zoned calling/heating). Justin and Jim arrived shortly after to jump right in and continue the process. Everything was installed by about 4pm that afternoon, plus they hauled away the old units and cleaned up what little mess they have made in the utility room as well. They then took time with me to go over the new system; changing furnace filters, programming new thermostats...everything. And the best news of all is that my home is now cool and comfortable on all levels of the house...even the upstairs!!! I really couldn't have asked for a better experience than I had in dealing with Wilson Mechanical. Do yourself a favor and give them a call...you won't regret it. read more

As this is a much more recent review, and far more accurate; I know the administrators at Yelp will surely move this to the top of Wilson Mechanical's reviews...... On Thursday September 17th we called Wilson Mechanical- our AC was running but not cooling- they sent Justin to our home that very same afternoon. He was very respectful, honest and professional. After he went through the diagnostics and troubleshooting; he concluded that we had a bad part in the unit (I am ignorant in this field but, it was inside where the air return goes in our utility room). He gave us an accurate and reasonable estimation for the part and labor- he said he could return the VERY next day to complete the job! He did return Friday the 18th and completed the job quickly and efficiently. We will be using Wilson Mechanical from now on, and I highly recommend everyone else to do the same!!! It is unfortunate that greedy people that want free labor and/or free parts give such whimsical and unfair reviews. Please let Wilson Mechanical show you why they are the, BEST at what they do! read more

I can tell you I would not be writing a review if I wasn't impressed with Wilson heating and cooling.i have used all heating and cooling experts in my area over the last 10 years since I have moved to the Smithville area. I called for a estimate on the purchase and installation of a whole home humidifier. I called on a Friday afternoon got a excellent price on parts and labor. Justin showed up the next day as promised on a Saturday at the agreed time. He was knowledgeable,professional and extremely proficient at his trade. Wilson Mechanical was a great company to work with! I called on a Friday morning when I started to experience issues with my AC unit. Justin responded very promptly and after looking at my cooling system, he explained all of my options from fixes to replacing the entire system. He did not pressure me at all and answered all of my questions and allowed me to make the decision that worked best for me. I selected to replace the entire system and they were able to install it within 24 hours. Justin, again, took the time to show me my new system and answer my questions. First had them out for a/c repair. Purchased ac/furnace from them - no pressure from them to purchase. Did not even suggest I purchase new systems even though they had a special going on.
