On this particular night, it was supposed to be 90s and 2000s music. I really don't want to complain, but my friends and I paid 15 dollars a piece for only 2 and a half hours of skating. It was nice at first becuase there weren't too many people, but then they seemed to just stop caring that most of the people skating were not 18. And the music was not 90s 00s. If I wanted to skate with children and listen to rap I would have come to a normal session. I will politely decline from coming to another adult skate unfortunately.

Upon approaching the door the area is clean and clear of any hazards. Once you walk into the building you are in an open bright colored room with information posted, and it appears your will need to be buzzed into the next set of doors. Upon entering into the rink area to the right in an area to purchase skates and/or skate accessories and next to that is the concessions. Just a couple of steps from the concessions is the washrooms. Then coming back there are tables and just past those is the right. Dj booth is in the front as well. Going straight through the door there are games and moving past those is the prize area and skate rental area. The beverages are over $3.00 and some change each, but they sell the pitcher for a little over $6.00. They offer pizza and snacks as well. We ordered the nachos and fries. The nachos which were good, but those fries, they were so good. This group rented the whole place to enjoy their birthday and is was very nice. Employees were both very kind and fast. They use great colors, bright. Makes it fun!

They called me a few weeks later to ask if I could switch from 12-4 to 6-9pm. I told them no since it was a child's birthday party. They confirmed 12-4 would still work. We arrived the day of the party and they did not have our reservation. I had to find my receipt to prove my reservation. They ran my credit card for the remaining balance and THEN informed me that it would be an additional $7 for every adult that wanted to enter. This was never told to me until right then and there. Paying for every adult to enter would have cost another $100 or so. This wasn't even for adults to skate- just to accompany their children into the party. Even if they didn't want to skate, it was still $7. We asked for a refund and it was refused. I had to put 1/2 down to reserve my party, but it was never reserved. So I'm not sure what that money was used for since it wasn't to hold a spot. Maybe with all the money they are making they should use some of it to out back into the business. Place looks and smells disgusting. Buyer beware. Read the website. Don't just go off the information you are told when booking the party over the phone.

I learned recently that it's also a polling location for folks in the surrounding wards. I popped in to cast my vote in the election and it was my first time actually inside. Turns out it's essentially a warming house with a big ol' fire place in the middle as a place to get warm during skating season. There is plenty of free parking available. Games and events are always taking place. I look forward to returning when the snow falls!

True, winter means snow storms, bone chilling winds, shoveling, icy roads & lots of other things we'd all rather forget. But, winter also brings opportunities for a wide array of great outdoor activities, including a traditional favorite--ice skating. Longacre Skating Pavilion & skating rink are right next to Stormonth Elementary school at 7343 N Longacre Rd. The skating rink has one area for free skating & a 2'nd for ice hockey. Although, stray pucks tend to find their way into the free skating area. The ice surface can be pretty bumpy. Nobody around here owns a Zamboni! Skaters are invited to go inside the pavilion to warm up, the fireplace is awesome & always ablaze on weekends. The skating pavilion also hosts games & events. Free parking is available.

No need to risk breaking anything, and getting up off the ice at my age would've been a whole event! It also let me race my grandson who was learning, which was way more fun than I expected. We were at the Pettit for our granddaughter's 10th birthday party and had our own room. The kids had lemonade, hot dogs, and chips, and we could bring in our own dessert, which made things easy. I'll definitely be more sore than the 10-year-olds for the next few days but it was an absolute blast!

I had so much fun. It was a true throwback 30+ years to my childhood. It was fun to get out on the rink and skate like I was eight years old again. The staff were super friendly. We went once on Saturday night and learned that they had a Sunday afternoon special for families, four people for $35 including skates, so we came back again the following day. Amazing time. Great fun. Highly recommend.

There are multiple ares for kids to climb--a climbing wall, a climbing tree, ropes, monkey bars, etc. the swings are also inclusive for people of all abilities and there are 2 separate swingsets. I loved the slide structures as they provided shade on an exceptionally hot day. Things to make note of: no food or drinks are allowed in the playground. There are plenty of tables outside for you to eat, but they are not shaded so it could get particularly hot. Plan accordingly. There are bathrooms which is really nice.

I was so happy to see that they also have very options for kids of all different spaces, sizes and needs including a specialized swing for those in wheelchairs. My twin toddlers absolutely loved the play place. They explored both sides even though one side is for a little bit younger and one side is for a little bit olderis older. They really like the slides and the more advanced side. But, they've never seen the old school spring riders before and the kiddie side had two! They got a kick out of that and it made me feel nostalgic. We will definitely return to this playground again and again and again. The kids loved it and other than ONE entryway, the entire playground is enclosed which also helps to give piece of mind while you're watching your littles.
