Honestly at first I was kinda skeptical about going here for dental work because of the "bad reviews" but honestly this was by far the best dental office I've been to ! The work the dentist did on my teeth was beautiful and pain free , he was very attentive to my concerns about the work I needed done . The office is nice and so is everyone else that works here. Never had any issues with appointments or waiting times . I still have several appointments as my teeth are in bad shape but with all that being said this is a great dental office and you won't regret working with them . read more

Horrible. Amaya (I believe was her name) answered phone. I explained they had referred me to a place for root canal, they wanted to charge me 275.00 upfront fee for consultation . I asked if they could refer me someplace else. She said I would have to call my insurance and find another place. I asked you can't refer me to someplace else . Do not recommend! My experience with this practice was horrible. Their scheduling system must be pen a paper because these people would give me an appt for a specific date and time, then send me a reminder for a completely different time. On one occasion, they didn't even call me to let me know my appt had been rescheduled. The actual work performed was questionable. On one visit, I needed one filling, and when I went back two weeks later, another cavity just magically appeared. The office manager was CLUELESS AND RUDE. Absolutely 100% the worst dental office I have ever been to! I've seen so much chaos and in my life. Every time I come here there is another face that I haven't seen. The turnover rate is ridiculous in this office which I can understand why. I would never work there! I have seen the workers on their cellphones while I am sitting in the dental chair. How unprofessional is that? When I got there, there were people sitting in the waiting area complaining they had appointments, but they couldn't find them in the system. The receptionist at the front was nowhere to be seen, but later was back at her desk with a Starbucks cup in her hand, so I guess she went to Starbucks. I was told today I needed a deep cleaning along with medication under my gums and irrigation. I didn't need this six months ago. The bill was over $500 because I was told insurance doesn't cover the medication or the irrigation. Have they lost their mind? Who has $500 laying around? Trust me stay away from this place and this corporate entity!!!! These people are the absolute worst of the worst!!! Find a nice dental office that caters to patients! This one doesn't give a crap about you only your pocketbook! They get paid according to their numbers if they don't make their numbers, then they are out the door! read more

They have a new doctor and apparently he is all about the money. They performed very expensive oral exams that my my insurance does not cover and now I'm responsible. Just like they knew what my insurance would not cover when it came to my treatment plan, they knew my insurance would not cover those over the top so called exams. BEWARE of this place!! I recently moved to Wilson and found this office through my insurance. I've been in twice and both experiences were really great. I felt cared for and about by all of the staff; my experience with the dentist, his assistants and the office staff were all caring, compassionate, gentle and I felt better as I left than when I arrived. While this office has all of the high tech stuff, I have to say that there are other offices that have high tech goodies, it's the people that really made me decide that this will be my dental office. The dentist noted some recommendations and the information was presented in a low key, respectful manner. I didn't feel at all pressured. I felt comfortable and supported. WOW! In the many, many years being insured with MetLife, (PPO) NEVER have we paid for X-rays/cleanings (the cleaning wasn't done after 11/2 hours sitting in the chair). Here's a breakdown of the charges; this was supposed to be a basic checkup: x-rays and a cleaning!! Total charges : $882.00; Total allowed amount: $90.00 (that seems right to me); Total patient responsibility: $140.00. WHAT?! Total negotiated fee: $230.00. A total of $652.00 is not chargeable! In my opinio, since BASIC x-rays should be paid for in full by MetLife, and since Ideal Dental is under contract, I think any charges over and above that amount should be discussed PRIOR to any exams! The hygienist checked prior to taking x-rays and said I was covered for once a year and since this was the beginning of the year--x-rays were covered. Apparently NOT 11/2 hours of them! Unless you're ok with paying over and above what your insurance normally covers for basic service, stay away from Ideal Dental! read more

Office canceled appointment because they did not get confirmation to a voicemail they supposedly left!! Take 1/2 day off for this procedure, show up only to find they have canceled and now have to take another 1/2 day for rescheduled appointment! Called to complain to supervisor and got hung up on. Don't know who's running this circus but will not be at next appointment. read more

Don't give this new staff and dentist an opportunity to create problems within your teeth. The original two dentists that were there when they were Wilson Dental Group did excellent work, however, this new crew, though friendly are not good. I went in for a check up and dental cleaning in late January. The hygienist pulled out a filling that had previously been put in place by one of the prior dentists. I went back on President's Day to have that filling replaced and a cavity on the tooth directly above it filled. During the process it felt like the dentist hit a nerve while drilling and they had to give me more local anesthesia. So much so, that the left side of my face was numb up into my eye. It was hard for me to drive home. I never got adjusted to the fillings and a few weeks later the bottom tooth became very sensitive. Cool water could not touch it without pain. I went back to the dentist, a week ago, to be re-examined. The dentist tapped on my teeth, but the tapping was not painful. The dentist did not spray cool air on the tooth to check for pain. The previous dentist had done the cool spray technique when I first started coming to Wilson Dental Group. The dentist suggested that my bite was not proper and drilled down the top tooth some more. Now both my top tooth and bottom tooth cannot have anything cool touching them. Nothing has healed. the dentist suggested that they'd have to do a root canal, if it doesn't heal, when the tooth was perfectly fine before I had my teeth cleaned. There's something awry with this new team, and I'm not giving them anymore opportunities to mess up my teeth. A friend of mine who started coming here, after I had such great experiences with the previous two dentists has now also had issues with this new dentist, who told her she needed a root canal as well. read more

made a appointment that you have to confirm by email and by text just to get there and then tell me that I'm not on the schedule... I had to use vacation time from work to get this done. it's the third time they've done this so I'd have to say this place is by far the worst dental office I've ever experienced. read more

All of the staff were extremely nice throughout the entire process. I do not have insurance and with the prophylaxis, X-rays, dental cleaning, and 4 caries restorations it came up to a grand total of 900 including their limited time 20% off new patient dental restorations. I know for a fact most places will charge you much more compared to this location with wonderful staff. read more

BEWARE new patients--they won't clean your teeth the first appmt! Bait and switch, big time. I called wilson dental group and requested a routine hygiene appmt. our dental insurance changed so i needed someone in network. I was told that since i was a new patient, there would be an exam and dental radiographs taken during the appmt. I said ok, since every dental hygiene cleaning i've ever had includes an exam by a dentist and i know that full mouth rads are taken every 2 years and bitewing rads are taken yearly. nothing new here. When i showed up to the hygiene appmt, the assistant took my blood pressure first--odd, but whatever, can't fault them i guess--then said she'd like to explain the process today. hmm, also weird, but sure. she somewhat nervously launched into a rehearsed speech that today i'd be getting radiographs, a gum recession evaluation, and a doctor exam, at which point they would schedule me a return appmt for my hygiene cleaning. ***brake screeching sound*** i said, wait, what? this IS my hygiene appmt. that's what i scheduled. the assistant informed me that they don't schedule cleanings on the first visit b/c they don't know what level of cleaning will be needed. 1. i called and voluntarily requested a routine cleaning. odds are good my mouth is in good shape. 2. somehow, in my 40+ yrs of life w dental cleanings every 6 months, every other dentist has managed to assess and provide the level of cleaning needed during the scheduled hygiene appmt without the need for an separate office visit and consultation. i told the assistant that i scheduled a hygiene cleaning and was never told they wouldn't be cleaning my teeth today--i scheduled a cleaning and the cleaning includes rads and a dental exam. she looked in my mouth, agreed my teeth looked pretty good, and offered to see if they could work me in for a cleaning afterwards. i had allotted 60 minutes for the entire visit. At 45 minutes in, i hadn't seen the doctor yet, and the assistant told me the hygienist would be at least another 25 minutes before she could get to me. i declined to wait further and left. it seems like a big insurance cash grab to me, from the blood pressure initially, to the insistence that they have to "assess the level of cleaning i need" before cleaning my teeth on a separate appmt day and time. My disappointment and frustration is from being misled into believing that i would be getting a routine hygiene cleaning, b/c that's what i asked for, that's what i scheduled, that's what i was led to believe was happening. It is dishonest and shortsighted to lure new patients in under false pretenses. the receptionist who made my appmt should have said "b/c you're a new patient, we won't be able to do a hygiene cleaning on the first visit b/c we require a doctor exam first to assess the level of cleaning needed", at which point, i would have hung up and called elsewhere. which is why they don't say it, but tricking me into coming isn't a great strategy either. AVOID. or at least, be prepared to go on two separate occasions to get your teeth cleaned, if you're a new patient. unacceptable to me to use my valuable time so poorly and i won't be going back. every other dentist out there manages to get it done in one visit. read more

My last two visits were great. The staff members are courteous and professional. They were also patient and informative. I had many questions about my procedures and billing. Was told my daughter needed a filling and a pulp cap. Went back the following week to have both done. Paid when I got there for services. We waiting only to be called to the desk to be told that Dr. Patel said she would now need a filling and a root canal. So my $135 payment was now going to be over $1000. When Dr. Patel finally came out to speak with me I asked what changed from the week before. She said "well change in symptoms". What changes? They hadn't even seen her that day. Dr Patel said well when we bring her back if there are any symptom changes then a root canal will be necessary. That's not at all what we were told. We were definitely told they could not do the pulp cap and she would need a root canal and the payment would now be over $1000 before they ever even saw her. So, I cancelled the entire visit and requested a refund. That was Oct 14, 2020. As of today (Nov 3, 2020) I still have not received a refund for the $135 I paid even though I have now been told weekly that it would take up to 7 business days. read more
