The first thing you need to understand in today's world is that medical care and hospital care is…read moreimpacted by volume blended with staffing issues. If you do not have patience ... you will end up not being a good patient nor a positive reviewer. That being said, we had ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEM in scheduling the cardiac testing for my daughter who has a developmental disability in addition to the current questions about her heart's health with Jefferson's team and they followed up the initial e-mail with a phone call verifying the information including the time at which we needed to arrive. From the very first stop along the day's journey all we received were smiles and professionalism mixed in with the right amount of personal interaction and conversation. Did my daughter have to wait in a hospital gown for more than an hour not knowing exactly when she was going in for her procedure, yes but staff regularly checked on her with smiles. They talked with my daughter always doing their best to calm her nerves and her fears. The American public needs to learn the word PATIENCE and put it into practice because impatience at times causes folks to miss the positive care providers are attempting to give. As we prepared to get the procedure done one by one of the "surgical" team came by to share information and to ask if we had any questions or perhaps even more importantly if we had any concerns. The anesthesiologist really calmed my daughter by showing her a scan of her arm. We obviously were not present for the procedure but before our daughter was awake the head of the team was sitting down with us to explain everything that went on. She even removed her scrubs providing a more personal feeling to the conversation (If she doesn't remove her scrubs for post operative conversations all the time, I would highly recommend it because with a sea of scrub covered humans it was nice to hear the report from a physician dressed like we were. It was a great touch!). Yes, we had to wait and wait and wait until our daughter's readings were acceptable. We were so ready to leave and our daughter wanted to get dressed. And, yes we were not in a comfy private room but what mattered were the smiles of the staff and their friendly quick chats with us about our daughter, about their work histories and their families, and just about life. That's the way it should be! It would be so wonderful if no one needed cardiac care but if you are in Philly or South Jersey or the Delaware Valley our experiences tell us that Jefferson is the place to go!! A definite FIVE STAR review!!!

After testing he advised of hearing loss in my right at lower frequencies most likely due to a virus I was unaware I had about six months ago. He went through other possible causes and logically ruled them out. He could run more tests, but in his experience they were unnecessary as he was 99% certain of his diagnosis given lack of other symptoms and my age. Bottom line choices were two; do nothing and see him in a year, or check out what a small hearing device might do to improve the situation. Made sense. I took an appointment to explore that option in a few weeks in the same office with Bucks Mercer Hearing Centers. No charge for the introduction to the variety of technology available today. Everyone in the office was pleasant from front desk, to audiologist, to Dr. Mallen, to last stop for next appointments. The facility looked a bit worn after 30+ years of use, but my professional office looks no better. 5 Well Heard Stars

Don't go here if you have a chronic joint issue…read more I was diagnosed by Dr. Cory Keller nearly two years ago with a chronic SI condition. I'm 28, so treatment is basically exercise (PT), and anti-inflammatory meds. I called requesting anti-inflammatory meds (first time since being diagnosed), before traveling when my joints exhibited the same symptoms that resulted in my original diagnosis. Dr. Keller said it was illegal to prescribe me the medication without seeing me again. Note, I offered to schedule an appointment for post my trip, and I was requesting anti-inflammatory meds, not opiods/narcotics. His office continued to refuse. Unacceptable treatment of a patient, which seems more geared towards earning an extra buck, and liability aversions, rather than honoring the hippocratic oath. Instead, I'm going to an urgent care to get the help I should be receiving from Dr. Keller.
