We've had plenty of first time parent concerns and he's tackled them all super timely and with a way of explaining things that calms us and gives us more confidence every time. And we were amazed with Katie, the Lactation Consultant. she has decades of experience, she CHANGED our world!! we brought in our 5 day old baby and she completely turned me around with her knowledge base. I brought him in with me and nursed him with her help so that she could observe. She reframed so much of what the hospital told me generically and tailored it to me and our son based on how and what she saw. and she was spot on! he was happier, less frustrated and trusted me to read his cues correctly and get what he needed. it was an instant fix, I can't get enough of her!! She makes herself available by phone too if tou can't make it to her in person. She and Dr. Stephen are in this with you every step, honestly we couldn't have asked for more caring human beings to help guide us.

We are supposed to have relationships and trust with them other reviews below state the same situation. This practice only cares about bonuses from pharmaceutical companies and loading our kids with vaccines. The scary thing is that Jessica lied about my appointment lied about what we discussed lied to the administration and never got on the phone with Me to discuss her lies She also had an urgent message from Me before all of this came to fruition and it was regarding something I had discussed with her during the appointment. She refused to call me back even though it was an urgent message. I left a second urgent message still no callback this place is twisted. I urge every parent to stay far far away.

I called the office one day around lunch time to schedule an appointment for my sick baby. The woman who answered was pissed off that I called on their lunch break. It looked light there was a glitch in their phone system because I got through in the line during their lunch break. As a working mom, I only have time to make phone calls during lunch breaks. I was thinking I would probably just leave a message to their answering system. Instead , my phone call went through and this woman was so pissed that she had to cut me off when I was explaining to her my reason of calling ny asking if I pressed anything else on the phone to make my call go through. This woman is so unprofessional and had the worst customer service skills ever!

I went to the front desk to ask for a medical form to be filled out last minute and apologized for the rush and any inconvenience and was told the form could only be done by Monday. I kindly asked if there was any way to get it done earlier and I was told that I was being selfish and unfair to those who had forms in to be filled out earlier. I asked ONCE politely and was given this kind of rude, cold reception. Word for word this is what happened. I left the location and my form and came back to my mother and when she asked why I couldn't get it filled out I let her know what the woman in the front very rudely told me. My mother went back to the office to ask again and that it was very urgent and the woman exasperatedly told her that I need to "learn her lesson" and did everything but shoo her away.

I called multiple times to ask basic questions--how to register and what documents to bring--but no one ever answered. I left several voicemails and never received a callback. I decided to go in person, filled out all the paperwork, and left my son's medical records as requested. I was told they would call me within two weeks to schedule an appointment after uploading everything into their system. I waited, but after two weeks--nothing. I called again, left more voicemails, still no response. I went back to the office, and the front desk gave me a card with a specific contact person. I called that number with the extension, left voicemails, and even sent an email--again, no response at all. It felt like we were completely ignored. After waiting about a month with no communication, I went back to retrieve my son's medical records so I could find another provider. Instead of trying to resolve the issue or help move things forward, they seemed more than happy to hand the papers back and move on. That was very disappointing. I then found a different office, and the experience was completely opposite--they called me back the same day and scheduled both pediatric and dental appointments for the following week, quickly and easily. This office has been one of the worst experiences I've had in terms of communication. The lack of response from the front desk and staff made it impossible to get even basic care started. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for reliable and responsive pediatric care.

Updated: 5/15/23 Thank you to Erin in billing customer…read moreservice who followed up with me regarding the bills I have gotten and was wonderful and so helpful. Went into the ER for abdominal pain on 12/9/22 and was given pain meds at 7:30 am. Around 2 pm I asked for pain meds again. Nurse left and said he'd get them and never came back. Another nurse came in and I asked her and she said she needed to take my BP first, then she left to get the meds and while she was gone I began vomiting and I was in the hallway begging for pain meds. Finally after an hour of severe pain I was given some medication. I ended up have 2 surgeries in 2 days due to gallbladder and stones in duct areas. Fast forward to March and since I didn't have insurance the hospital billing department and I came to an agreement of an amount to pay. Since it wouldn't work to send the money over the phone, I went to the hospital and gave them a cashiers check. The cashiers check was not received well and I was told I should have bought a personal check. Not sure why a personal check was preferred but they took and it and I was told by Irene Perez I could NOT get a receipt of payment until the check clears so a week went by and she told me it cleared and she said that there would be a receipt in the mail. This was March 22! I have called once a week since then and left messages regarding my receipt which they have YET to mail me. I did get a copy of the check from my bank, but all of a sudden I am getting new bills regarding this hospital visit from December! last week Ms. Perez now said she couldn't send a receipt but an itemized bill of payment. I'm so done and will start reaching out the supervisors and the board if needed. So ridiculous!

In conversations before the bris, I knew that my friend was nervous about the process, the ceremony, and the actual circumcision. I can say with confidence that Dr. Rumbak put the family's mind at ease both with her expertise and her gentle approach. As a "spectator" at the ceremony, Dr. Rumbak passed around sheets so we can all follow along and feel part of the ceremony, and explained what different blessings meant. She also added some Jewish text in a modern and relevant way, which I appreciated, and my family continued to discuss post ceremony. The sweet baby did super well and was calm throughout the entire process. Truthfully, I didn't even know when the actual circumcision actually happened because she was so gentle and discrete. At the end of the ceremony, many people went up to Dr. Rumbak to compliment her on one of the best brit mila's they ever went to, and many asked for her card (including my mom for our temple!). She has a great business partner in Shachar, who socialized with the guests of the ceremony, kept everything organized, and was just an all around stand up guy. Oh, and how great that she is a mohel AND a doctor. Talk about putting your mind at ease..that will definitely do it. Highly recommend.

Would have loved so much to give a glowing review of Dr. Rumbak but unfortunately we look back on…read morethe day of my son's bris and what transpired after with a lot of sadness. Dr. Rumbak deserves credit and thanks for her discretion in not circumcising our son the day of his bris due to a urological condition she noticed in her ore-ceremony examination. We are thankful for that. She performed what essentially worked out to a baby naming ceremony for us. Obviously the day was emotional to begin with and the news she couldn't circumcise was extremely disappointing and heartbreaking since this was a day we looked forward to for so long. In the days after the bris we were able to absorb the events better and realized exactly what happened. To begin with, my wife asked for a program to keep as they were being collected (yes, collected), and the response was, "I collect them." She said the same to my mom (baby's grandma). We consider this ridiculous - even if the baby's grandparents couldn't have one, at least the parents should. When I emailed Dr. Rumbak about the issue I'm about to describe, I also mentioned the program and that part of my email was left unaddressed. Here's the major problem, though. We paid $800 for a circumcision plus $150 for travel from Manhattan to Nassau. We were happy to do this because we really liked Dr. Rumbak on the phone. However, after the bris, we had a bit of a realization that really irked us. Why were we never offered any kind of refund for the circumcision not being performed? It really should have been offered that day, on the spot, but it wasn't. Days and weeks turned to months and we still were never offered anything. We didn't even get an email or phone call to check on our son given the medical issue Dr. Rumbak identified. This was surprising given the emotional nature of the day but also because part of Dr. Rumbak's service (advertised on her web site and vouched for in her reviews) is her frequent follow up with the family. Finally after a few months, I emailed her explaining we feel we are owed some kind of refund due to the most critical part of the ceremony, the circumcision, not being performed. It is that expertise for which we paid. Dr. Rumbak issued a $200 refund, saying that the rate for a baby naming is $600. It's unfortunate such a beautiful day was soured by the experience we had. As new parents we feel we were, in a way, taken advantage of. Dr. Rumbak did ultimately give some money back, but we feel we shouldn't have had to ask. Experiences like this are what make people cynical about organized religion. The right thing to do would have been to give us a refund without us having to ask. We would not recommend her.
