Rude, unprofessional, they tripple book and only have one dentist on staff. I wish I had read the previous review before coming here.

Like many people, I slacked on dental visits during Covid and unfortunately paid the price. I ended up needing my first dental implant, and while I was nervous about the surgery (I'll admit I was a bit of a chicken!), I knew I was in the best hands. To my surprise -- it didn't hurt at all. Honestly! For context, my tooth had been previously extracted by a different dental group during an emergency, and that did hurt a little. But the implant with Dr. Shahmehdi was completely pain-free. I trust him with all my dental care -- bonding, fillings, the implant, and everything in between. He's honest, skilled, caring, and truly brilliant. His staff is also top-notch: professional, kind, and helpful. Also, they accepted my CareCredit card and offered 0% financing, which really helped since my dental implant wasn't covered by insurance. If you're looking for a trustworthy, talented dentist who genuinely cares about his patients -- look no further. Dr. Shahmehdi is the one

One fill in and an implant later we are just about done. On my first visit i got a cleaning, ex-rays and a full dental plan. Also they were very detailed in the cost and plans to get it paid for that worked for you. Every appointment I felt like they made significant progress in knocking something off the list and there was no time wasted. My past dental experiences were all like you need this and that and we will do it " next time" or they spread the work out over a ton of appointments that never work with your schedule. Here I can get in on a Saturday, and if they have time they do all they can to get me taken care of. My husband and I are now clients and my son goes to the pediatric dentist downstairs. I have had a temp crown ( fit great and stayed on), a perm crown that is great, an extraction... no pain and the after was very manageable, cleanings, and x-rays and once everything is perfect I will likely try a whiting service ! Try it they are great !

The office staff is extremely professional, the cleanest and most efficient dental office. They use the most up to date equipment and technology for cleaning, screening and whitening. The newest technology is being used for oral prevention/screening. My cleanings are extremely thorough and they keep up to date records in computerized systems. They take their time too, they don't rush the process. They document everything. I am in the process of some cosmetic dental work and everything is phased in, one step at a time approach. I even had older fillings replaced and my teeth look like I never had a cavity. I do have one area that will require dental surgery and Dr. G has a partnership with Surgeons whom are the best in their field. My mother had an emergency 6 months ago and Dr. G recommended his partner in Little Falls. She had a tooth extracted in minutes and was pain free in one day. Also to note is Dr. G's staff, everyone is on top of their game, from scheduling, billing, texting before appointments. Very professional. It's one family all working to help the patient.

I had been going to this dentistry for the entirety of my teenage and adult years, moved out of state two years ago but hadn't decided on a new dentist yet so when visiting family almost a year ago, early spring time 2025 I booked back to back days, one for cleaning + X-rays the next for any cavities that may need to be handled. I came in first day for cleaning got that all done. Found cavities okay cool come in the next day to get them filled. Nope they tell me that day was booked for me for a second cleaning or something? Tell me to come back in a week or two which is obviously not easily possible as I live a 5 hour plane flight away now. I book a trip for a few months later in June and booked for all 3 cavities to be done with them. I come in and this time I'm seen by the woman doctor, can't remember her name. Too annoyed to look it up now. She tells me she doesn't have time for all three which is kinda insane because I booked for this you know months ago. She tells me she'll do 2 and I can come back in a few days for the other one. I tell her no girlboss I'm getting on a plane tomorrow morning and you guys were supposed to do this months ago. She begins the cavities, drills down, literally leaves the room for 30-45+ mins and I'm just there with my mouth open for a long time. She seems extremely distracted and rushed. She "finishes" the cavities and I'm sent out. Essentially because she was rushing so much she did not properly scoop out the entire cavity and covered it so it continued to rot and infect downwards to my nerves. My mouth hurts so much. It doesn't stop hurting. I call two weeks later asking why one specific tooth hurts so bad and they just tell me my gums are irritated and I'll be fine. I've broken bones, had surgeries, dealt with pain before but this was different. This was debilitating to the point of not being able to move or speak. Soon after I go on vacation to some islands. Snorkeling, going on planes frequently, my tooth is in insane pain I can't even open my mouth to breathe the air hurts my tooth. Imagine spending thousands for a nice vacation and not even being able to eat ice cream and waking up every single day in terrible pain. I return home and immediately see a dentist in the town I now live in and they do X-rays, tell me I need a root canal. This is in August 2025 at this point. I get it done, flash forward to late February 2026 and I still cannot eat on the right side of my mouth. The tooth will not calm down and I'm told there's likely small fractures in the tooth that can't be picked up on X-ray and I have to go to a specialist and probably need it removed and an implant now. So if you truly care about your health and want your teeth to stay in your skull and not wastes thousands of dollars, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

I had a whole childhood of traumatic dentist experiences that caused some serious adult rebellion…read moreof me sticking it to the man by just not going to the dentist for a decade in my 20s. I eventually paid the piper for that one, and since that time, I've realized that the key to me not avoiding the dentist and taking care of my teeth the way I know I should is finding a person that intuitively adheres to trauma-informed principles of care: respects/believes patients, explains what they're going to do and when, communicates safety clearly, etc. I had a great dentist in NYC and then COVID happened and then we moved to NJ and yeah, I've been delaying finding a new dentist for, um, mumblesfouryearscough. I knew it was time to establish care here and I knew a whole boatload of 5 star Yelp reviews wouldn't lie. First off, my intake paperwork asked me what I was looking for / what was most important to me in a dentist. Then it asked if there was any accommodation I might need to feel more comfortable. Then it asked my anxiety level on a scale of 1-10. No one has ever asked me this before. On the day of my visit, having given this much thought, I decided to let my freak flag fly and asked my hygienist if I could just keep the xray apron on for my whole cleaning. If she batted an eyelash, I didn't notice, and me and my weighted blanket snuggled in for an excellent polish. Well, it turns out I had a cavity. Made an appointment to go back to have it filled. Considered asking for an Rx for a single valium, but decided against it. I was brought into a room that seemed to date to a revolutionary war time period visually, but with modern technology. THE CHAIR MASSAGED ME. Dr. Kim explained what he was going to do, showing me my xray once more, numbed me up, removed my old filling and fixed up my cavity in like, 6 minutes. I don't know if it was the ambiance of the room, the chair massage, Dr. Kim's evident competence, or the acoustic Bruno Mars song playing, but I did not feel I had been locked out of heaven. To the contrary, this was an excellent experience. If you are afraid of the dentist, this is the place for you.
