Whimsical posters dressed up the plain but cozy room (a rabbit in a pink bathrobe holding a bottle of champagne and divers leaping into a wine glass). I could have spent all afternoon there, reading and sipping. But I had places to be. If I stayed longer I might have tried some of the food. It's more in the line of light snacks than an actual meal, mostly cold, but they were more interesting than the standard charcuterie plate offered by similar venues, and I liked that they listed the country or state of origin of everything. For dessert, how about a slice of cheesecake from Chill's of Warren, RI - or a flight of 3 for $21! Beer lovers, don't fear Coastal Bubbles. Menu listed five, all of which I've never heard of, from Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine, and Portugal, sure to interest the connoisseur. The menu that day included 25 wines by the glass. Their high-tech "Coravin System" keeps the open bottles fresh, and my Croation Matsuško was flawless in that respect. Port lovers might try the "100 Years Of Port Flight": the 10, 20, 30, and 40 year vintages of Van Zellers. I'll be doing that next time, with the cheesecake.

We had a wonderful time being part of such a beautiful wedding, the house only added to the success and beauty of the party (just don't touch the piano!).

There are two rooms, a living room, a kitchen and a clean bathroom that was a bit tiny, but very serviceable. Everything was clean and tidy upon our arrival. The service was fine. We never tried the breakfast, so I can't help you there. The location was 10 to 12 minutes of walking from Main St, which for us made it very convenient. We would stay here again. My wife and I were so glad it was free because if we paid, it would have been robbery. The location is not bad, sittng on top of the hill from the downtown area of Vineyard Haven and what ever you do, dont take a cab from the ferry. We took one and we could have walked and it was a rip off and they got lost to boot. The place is a regular under construction suburban house with a pool but something out of the 1970's with shabby interiors and just an all around mess of an inside. The inn keeper tries to hide the shabby quality but the furnishings are dated and old and falling apart. The set up is a disarray of rooms and apartments that are furnished with cheap furnitiure and rugs and uncomfrotable beds. The rooms were filthy and the bathrooms were nasty. The steet it sits on is quiet and but is tucked a ways back. The breakfast served was trying to be good but was lacking quality. the place really should close down and not boast being a 5 star bed and breakfast because it is far from it. There are so many places to stay on this island, if you are going to spend the money, you can do a lot better than this spot. It is a downright rip off for the quality. Skip it.

Made a last-minute online inquiry on a Friday afternoon to see if they had "room at the inn" the…read morefollowing day - got a response back within an hour from owner Larry who said he had one room left for us to stay, and knocked off a percentage of the cost since it was a last-minute booking. My husband and I were elated. The owners were wonderful and we had a relaxing stay in their beautiful home. We were greeted by Larry in the morning for breakfast, who prepared some delicious blueberry pancakes for us and we enjoyed great conversation with he and his wife and the rest of the B&B guests. Couldn't have asked for a better stay for our first trip to Martha's Vineyard. We'll be back!
