So I gave one of the products a 3-star rating, with an explanation on why I thought it was only 3-star. Of course, the review never made it to the site. If they had put my review up then I would have trusted them with the rankings and tried some of the higher-ranked items. Now I know those rankings are just selectively picked so that all the products are ranked high.

You can drive there yourself and check out the farm and the store OR they will drive to you and deliver you farm goodness to your front step. Where they really shine is in a big something called a bundle. It's basically your weekly meal planning, shopping and prep work in one. I'm talking not just the peppers for your taco Tuesday but the washed and chopped peppers, you hear me busy momma?! They deliver all over the capital district too. I'm a weird breed that actually enjoys grocery shopping and food prep but there is no voodoo magic that could get me this amount of price for the extremely reasonable price Gorsky's charges.

The owner (I think) answered right away, we commented back and forth, Great Week Bundle order placed, hunky dory. Delivery day came and went, with no delivery. I Facebook messaged the owner. No response. I emailed the owner. No response. I tried calling the number on their Facebook page. It's suspended. It was a hot mess scramble to feed my family that evening, which is our normal and exactly what I was hoping to avoid via this delivery. Finally I commented (which I later discovered they deleted) on one of their posts asking for an update. They responded via Messenger and said their truck broke down and would update me ASAP. A few days came and went with no update. I gave up and asked for a refund via Messenger. They responded quickly to that and agreed to refund. Days passed, no refund. Finally, I escalated to Paypal and got my refund. I get it's a working farm. Really, I do. Stuff happens. But I dropped a lot of money on food that never arrived. I shouldn't have had to jump through hoops to a) get satisfactory customer service from the owners, and b) get a refund. As I said earlier, Gorsky's delivery service is an amazing concept that I want to support! But unless they improve their customer service and communication, I will not be trying again anytime soon.

Of course, by early November the outdoor market has moved indoors and we have little idea what the waterfront outdoor market looks like, but I've gotta say I'm impressed. I'm impressed with the organisation of the so many vendors in different corners of the two-floor space, and the variety and quality of the goodies available. Pretty much all cooked foods were upstairs with tables and chairs dotted amongst vendors, and the offerings ranged from West African and Caribbean American to dumplings, crepes, and empanadas. There was a "makers" room with clothing, jewlery, pottery, and other knickknacks, and produce, Belgian sugar waffles, and dried flower arrangements lined the middle section of the ground level. Probably the biggest room was in the back corner across from the 'booze' section, and this is where we see the dairy, dips, honey, peanut butter, gourds, pickles, and lots of baked goods, some of which we couldn't resist. We ended up with a small haul from Golden Blend Bakehouse, Our Daily Bread, and The Placid Baker. I'm be sure to follow up on how the baked goods go but the farmers market was impressive and I'm glad this has become a real landmark in the Capital Region. Parking is available among the street (mostly metred) and near the waterfront. We'll be back.

They sell seasonal vegetables, farm fresh eggs, cider, cider donuts, mums and asters, pumpkins and gourds, honey, and even let you pick your own pumpkin.
