The morning he was scheduled to arrive, the thermal pressure canister on my hot water heater failed, rusted through & was spraying water into my house. Rick squared that away, and installed the faucets and did the back flow test & got the whole thing done in a hour and a half! The man is awesome. A consummate professional. The only reason I gave him five stars is because the app won't let me give him SIX.

The part was covered under manufacturers warrantee. Simple job. No estimate provided by tech or owner. Was hit with a $1000 invoice with no prior authorization from me. Invoice was not itemized. Just a number, apparently pulled out of thin air. When questioned they knocked off a $99 service fee they fully intended on charging on top of service fee related to replacing a bad coil. I own 5 homes locally, so the search for a high-integrity tech continues.

There was no comparison in the business practices of the companies. I won't detail in incompetence and shady sales approaches that I experienced. Obrien was the exception. Matt listened to me regarding the amount of money I was willing to spend and proposed a quality system within my parameters. Gauge and his partner did a great installation, answering my questions and keeping me informed every step of the way. Obrien was about 5% more expensive than others but well worth it knowing that the job was done right (installation is critical for these units) and knowing they will be there to stand behind their work.

During my six-month home renovation, I did most of the electrical work myself, but had I known about Flatwire back then, I'd have hired them! Their team was not only skilled but also incredibly professional. If you're looking for top-quality work at a reasonable price, call these guys! I'm confident they'll beat any other quote you've been given!
