I had already worked myself into believing this might involve cameras, locating equipment, drainage plans, excavation, and who knows what else. Jeremy took one look at the situation and said, essentially, "Nope." The problem was simple, and so was the solution. He explained that the pop-up drain was doing what it was designed to do, but the excess water had found an easier path underground, which also explained a soft depression nearby (this was causing a lot of soil erosion on my neighbor's property). He then spent a great deal of time walking me through the remedy: where to dig, how deep and wide to make the area, how to use gravel and plants, and how to install deeper edging so the water would disperse properly instead of gushing toward my neighbor's property. I asked a lot of questions. Jeremy answered every one patiently, then went over the plan a second and third time because I wanted to make sure I understood. He physically mapped everything out so I could clearly understand what needed to be done. There was no attempt to sell me camera diagnostics, unnecessary cleaning, excavation, or an expensive drainage system. He charged only the $79 trip fee and nothing more. That kind of honesty is increasingly rare. Jeremy could have turned my anxiety into a padded invoice, but instead gave me a practical, inexpensive solution and made certain I understood it before he left. During this time, I learned that not everyone likes a do-it-yourself like me. Some even said I wanted, "free work." Not true! However, the current installed prices spoke to me. I grabbed my tools! Pulling a local permit as a home owner/builder in Florida, I installed a 2 ton (24k) ACIQ-24-HP32 condenser and ACIQ-24-AH32 air handler, and related mechanical. This system replaced a 26 year old 1.5 ton (18K) Trane XE-1000 condenser and TWGO18A air handler that was showing its age -- like me. One of my main hardware vendors, HVAC direct, patiently worked with me as I learned the new system requirements. With help from Isaiah Luke Appliance Repair to do the final commissioning of the system, the new ACIQ inverter system passed local inspection! The new system is a noticeably quieter and produces considerable heat split by comparison with the previous system. The fact that the ACIQ has a higher BTU rating, (24K) a higher seer rating (18), and yet uses smaller breakers, 30A down to 25A on the outside unit and 30 down to 15 amps for the inside unit and doesn't dim my lights when it runs, says it all. (If you don't want to read the full review just know we were highly satisfied) After being very disappointed with other well companies, by either not being able to come out for a day or more or not answering the phone like a professional company, we called Williston Well & Pump. At first I think my phone dropped the call and to my surprise I was called right back. I didn't answer because at that moment I was helping my daughter with something. Steve left a message saying he was sorry he missed my call and if I needed service please don't hesitate to call back, so I did. He was very nice and came out within two hours. He was very sick when he got here, but very professional. I told him what was going on and he explained why and was very fair with price estimates. I looked up price and service charges for my area. He was very understanding. He did need to come back the following day and put in a new tank. However, the weather was terrible, but he said he was watching the weather. Steve does an incredible job. I had another friend of a friend come out and do some well work for me and the final product was lacking. I ran into some issues late night and gave Steve a call, not only was he about to make out same day but he was in my driveway in about an hour and a half. Steve was a professional who knows his craft. He was able to walk me through some of the troubleshooting and identified my issue in no time. A friend had a new unit installed by Bounds last year and was very happy with the service, so I called them yesterday hoping I could get service before the July 4th holiday weekend. I received a call from the technician within 2 hours who was able to meet me as soon as I could get home, which I was within 30 min. I told him on the phone (at 3pm) that I had an appointment and would need to leave at 4:40. Anthony (Tony) got right to work checking the system inside, then outside and determined that I had a leak somewhere. He had to add Freon, then added a dye to the system which will get checked in 10-14 days. Tony was very professional and kind and was working hard to adhere to my schedule so that I wouldn't be late for my appt. He explained the cost of the service provided (Freon isn't cheap, but necessary!) and the cost of the leak detection when they return is included. I am so pleased that they were able to respond as quickly as they did, especially with the heat we've had lately! I was able to keep my thermostat temp a few degrees higher and still feel comfortable! Thank you Tony and Bounds!
