I wanted to see the house first and if I liked it then put in an offer and discuss payment options. This is how it normally works. So I did not answer his question. He apparently did not like that. He was trying to push me away by saying that the house needed a lot of work and the seller was not budging off the asking price. I still wanted to see the house, so I again asked to have a showing. He rudely said, "I'm busy. Ask another agent to show you the house." WTF?????? You're the listing agent and you are not willing to show your own listing to a potential buyer!!! He probably thought I could not afford the house and he didn't want to waste his oh so valuable time by showing it to me. He even said I needed to have an agent to represent me. He said that I would not be able to purchase any properties without one. Really? You're a broker and you're telling me this BULLSH*T!!! I've purchased 3 houses in my lifetime and I have never had an agent represent me. The purchases have all gone through without a hitch. This house has been on the market for almost 6 months now and it's probably because of this dumb-ass agent that it's not selling. I will never have this agent sell my house. Just so you know, I would've put in for a full price, all cash offer. You just lost yourself a huge commission. Too bad ASSHOLE!!!

This place loves first time home buyers because they know they can manipulate them more. That's my opinion and experience with them. If I ever buy or sell another home and the brokery is part of it, brokery will not be a part of it. Buying agent was never there except when she wanted something once she had my signature that locked in her commission. Very condescending, often rude and never helpful. Made the process, I feel, more stressful than it had to be. That's part of it. Wear the buyer down to the point the you overlook things. Agent often looked over her glasses at me. That tells you her attitude. On the first viewing of the house she ran through the house like it was a race. "Here's the living room. NEXT! There's the kitchen. NEXT..." Gee, was that cook stove electric, gas or was it wood burning? Rushed through the bedrooms and onto the furnace room. I see a furnace! Oh, shiny. I stop to look at it, and the electrics going to it. I turned around to find she was no where to be seen. She literally had walked through the rest of the house and was going out the side door. I should have cut ties with that old gal at that moment but I didn't. Rude when I went to make an offer on the place. She asked how much I wanted to offer. I didn't know. I told her a figure and she muttered "there goes our counter offer." Why ask me and then complain about it? Got to the earnest money part. I asked if that's what you call escrow. "No," she annoyingly replied, looking over her glasses at me, "that's what we call earnest money." That was one smart ahole of an answer. I didn't like that. She always was in a rush. Always wanting to get you in and get you out unless it was something SHE wanted. If you're in a rush, you don't have time to think about it or read the documents. Came time for me to sign a few papers. I had to reach across her desk for a pen from this special cup that obviously had to be in a special spot on her desk in a certain position as I got glaring looks from her as now something was out of place on her immaculate desk. If it were out of place the sky would surely fall. She wrote down seller agrees to pay up to $1,000 dollars in repairs. Said she usually did that when representing a buyer and on a seller would write in $500. They came back with $300 but "it looks like a nice house" so that was ok. Didn't ask me if that was ok, she decided it was ok for me. Really? Is this how you buy a house? Seller agrees to pump septic tank. I asked does this mean they'll check the line for roots. "No," she said in an icy tone, looking over her glasses, "It means they'll pump the septic tank." Had an issue with the electrics. Seller came back with husband is a retired "union electrician." Now, wife is handling everything and I assume because he's not capable for some reason but she has the gall to write that down? Called the licensing board in town. Guess what? There is no such animal as a union electrician. If he were any sort of licensed electrician, it'd be on the list. He was not. If he's incapable of handling the sale, how is he capable of putting two wires together? They wanted to fix it themselves. You can do that, if it's for yourself but not for sale. I told buying agent this. She didn't believe me. Not only did I have to cut and paste the law that states this but send her the whole statute that outlines this before she believed me. Another reason to just say NO! Finally had it with her and told her that's it. Not signing anything else. Called the main office and asked for the owner telling them, had it with her, wanted a new agent. No more attitude! brokery owner called me a few days later. After a few minutes, he calmed down when I told him about how she answered my question about escrow and earnest money. You know, earnest money is just a deposit to put down to show you're serious about buying a place. What is so hard to say that one sentence rather than being a smart thingy with an answer that belongs in an outhouse? At closing, you sign a lot of papers. I mentioned that part of the description was that I was getting the road to it. "No," she replied, "you can't block someone's access of their property." Gee, what law school did you get your degree from? Seller said it was deeded back to the county. Later I looked over the records and there it is, I own that road. With her statement that I couldn't block someone else from their property that was actually practicing law without a license, if she had no license. If she did, she wouldn't be sitting all the way at the far end of the table.
