As of January 5th, we are still waiting for Windows, while our house sits open to the winter weather. It seems the windows were finally put on a truck December 16th.... and even though the truck didn't arrive in SC, no one at Neelys could been bothered to track the shipment. We finally contacted Marvin ourselves yesterday. They did a little research and found out that the truck broke down and the windows were returned back to their warehouse where they've been sitting since the 17th of December. As I write this, I still cannot get Marvin Windows or Neelys doors and windows to give us a tracking number or a delivery date. I would never do business with Neely's or Marvin again. Once we selected one then we would get an estimate for the whole house. Then also said they would give us addresses for windows in the area so we could see them in person the different types on older homes like ours. Never heard from them. Have send 2 emails back now and nothing. I guess they don't want someone using a local business. Will have to go with a big window company as they are the ones giving me estimates and service promptly.

Joe Scarfo is a con man. He takes a large deposit up front, maybe works a few hours, and then…read moredisappears. He ripped us off, as well as many, many others. His address is just a mailbox at a UPS store. He has several different business names that he uses. There are stories about him all over the internet. I could find no contractor license for him in South Carolina, and the license number he gave me was phony. No license means no insurance. Don't take a risk with Scarfo or anyone associated with him. He has pulled his scam in at least one other state. We reported him to law enforcement, and they would be happy to meet him! I put a bad review for him on Porch.com several years ago. He tried to have it removed as being bogus, but I had the paperwork and canceled check to back it up, so Porch refused to remove it. The review might have been for one of his business names S&R Construction. Steer clear of Scarfo!!!
