The first room I was given had hairs everywhere on the sheets, dirt smudges on the covers, and disgusting skin flakes everywhere. The second room I was moved to had hairs everywhere and little spiders in the sheets (see attached picture for one of the spiders I saw). I went down to the front desk and asked if house cleaning could change the sheets, or if I could be moved to another clean room. The front desk lady told me they had no house cleaning on staff at that time, and that she did not want to go up to the rooms and make sure the next one I got was clean. She then recommended I go somewhere else to spend the night. Management has refused to provide a refund, even though I did not spend the night and was essentially told to go somewhere else by their own staff. I will be disputing the charge but wanted to warn people of the service they may receive while they are here. I had an absolutely awful experience, am still trying to get my money back, and will never visit this location again.

I was told it's fine to cancel. Don't worry about it. Cancel my reservation at 12 o'clock. Now on January 29 I receive a charge on my credit card for my room stay and late cancellation. Called the hotel and the representative I spoke to was very nice. She said that she was given orders to tell everyone that's company policy and no cancellations are allowed before 24 hours.

Definitely not the same experience as my last review. In the past several months, my fiance and…read morehave stay at this hotel almost weekly. We have had several issues related to appliances not working properly (ie: tv, refrigerator and air conditioner). This past stay they knowingly put us in a room, that had a non-working air-conditioning unit. The general manager (Lavet Diamond) was nothing short of rude during our check in process. My fiancé ( whom is a vet ) had asked there was a discount for Veterans. He had asked several times what the discount would be ( if any) and she refused to answer the question. She gave us what the bottom line was on the room.. so it seemed a little suspect as to if we were even getting a discount or not. I don't think we did as this is the price we have paid in the past. Another disappointment was finding out that they now charge a five dollar parking fee per vehicle... Instead of putting it into the actual price of the room, they told us that upon departure that we needed to pay this five dollar fee if we were going to park our cars in the lot ( this was blamed on corporate per Lavet) r/t a new corporate policy . Otherwise, our other option would be to park next door at Arby's. I do want to give a shout out to Bobby Brossoit he was very polite and professional. Congratulations on your engagement... As he was going to be proposing to his girlfriend this weekend.

There was candy wrappers, hair and some type of worm( dead) behind the bed. The cover on the beds were old and need to be updated. There was something all over the smoke alarm on the ceiling and the carpet was all stained I had been up for 20 hours and was exhausted. I always travel or stop and buy Lysol and Lysol wipes so I ended up spraying the whole room down and wiping the bathroom all down door knobs TV. For the price I paid for this room because it was graduation weekend so you always mark up the room. It was not worth what I paid wasn't even worth the regular price. It was room 314 that I stayed in so disappointed and will not come back again.

However, no true British chippy would serve battered and shaped filets for fish & chips -- that was disappointing. I expected an authentic full-size, flakey cod or haddock stretched across a bed of chips with bits of crunchy batter everywhere. The filets were crispy and tasty, but not genuine English fish & chips. Our server was young and inexperienced (didn't know what a pale ale or IPA was), but was very attentive and cheerful. An older gentleman, who may have been the bartender, came to our table and gave us an oral history of the building, its owners and various quirks. The only drawback was all the stairs. It's not ADA accessible getting to and from the pub, where we had our reservations. There was a full flight of stairs to go down from the main floor. It was recommended that we leave through the back door to avoid the stair case. Outside, on the terrace, there were some low steps and no handrail to get to the path leading to the parking lot. No one using a wheelchair or walker can access the pub. The building itself, the decor, and outside grounds are beautiful. The gardens are lovely.

This place is so beautiful, majestic, and some of the nicest staff I've ever encountered! We went to the pub side of the restaurant and it was small but also the feel of walking into a pub in England! The staff was so courteous, knowledgeable, and on it!! I ordered the prime rib dinner and my friend ordered the fish and chips. You really felt like you were in England enjoying the amazing food! We opted out on desserts (we had dessert at the hotel waiting for us). I would highly recommend this place if you're passing through. Also you can walk the grounds, we did and we got to watch an outside wedding - beautiful. Highly recommend.

Sorry forgot to take pics…read more.. Stayed at this holiday inn express for the first time. After al what's not to like, free breakfast and cinnamon rolls in the morning. It's conveniently located at Jolly and Okemos Rd right off I96. You have plenty of restaurants nearby and a Dunkin or Starbucks depending what you prefer. The hotel was very clean and smelled clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful when asked anything. The room was clean and no issues were noted. The window was very large to look out and was actually able to enjoy the sunrise view from my room. The bathroom is large and the water pressure was very good, iykyk. The beds were comfortable and the tv was a smart tv so you could log into all your apps to watch tv. Only complaint was they only had like 12 stations and we could not watch Sunday night football... All in all this place was very nice. Also has an indoor pool, nice fitness center and a laundry room for guest. If you need a place to stay around Okemos or east Lansing this is a good spot.

Easy access off the interstate freeway, and the surroundings near this hotel are great. Plenty of food options and other stores nearby. Michigan State University is also not too far of a drive away for those staying here for such purposes. Very friendly staff and clean, modern, spacious rooms. Be aware though that sound travels very well in this hotel - so be mindful of any noise you might make in your room. I did have some noisy neighbours nearby while here and I could hear a lot of what they were saying and doing. This is not the hotel's fault in any way though - that kind of stuff can happen anywhere. I'd happily stay here again. My stay here was very comfortable.
