The first room I was given had hairs everywhere on the sheets, dirt smudges on the covers, and disgusting skin flakes everywhere. The second room I was moved to had hairs everywhere and little spiders in the sheets (see attached picture for one of the spiders I saw). I went down to the front desk and asked if house cleaning could change the sheets, or if I could be moved to another clean room. The front desk lady told me they had no house cleaning on staff at that time, and that she did not want to go up to the rooms and make sure the next one I got was clean. She then recommended I go somewhere else to spend the night. Management has refused to provide a refund, even though I did not spend the night and was essentially told to go somewhere else by their own staff. I will be disputing the charge but wanted to warn people of the service they may receive while they are here. I had an absolutely awful experience, am still trying to get my money back, and will never visit this location again.

I was told it's fine to cancel. Don't worry about it. Cancel my reservation at 12 o'clock. Now on January 29 I receive a charge on my credit card for my room stay and late cancellation. Called the hotel and the representative I spoke to was very nice. She said that she was given orders to tell everyone that's company policy and no cancellations are allowed before 24 hours.

We have had several issues related to appliances not working properly (ie: tv, refrigerator and air conditioner). This past stay they knowingly put us in a room, that had a non-working air-conditioning unit. The general manager (Lavet Diamond) was nothing short of rude during our check in process. My fiancé ( whom is a vet ) had asked there was a discount for Veterans. He had asked several times what the discount would be ( if any) and she refused to answer the question. She gave us what the bottom line was on the room.. so it seemed a little suspect as to if we were even getting a discount or not. I don't think we did as this is the price we have paid in the past. Another disappointment was finding out that they now charge a five dollar parking fee per vehicle... Instead of putting it into the actual price of the room, they told us that upon departure that we needed to pay this five dollar fee if we were going to park our cars in the lot ( this was blamed on corporate per Lavet) r/t a new corporate policy . There was candy wrappers, hair and some type of worm( dead) behind the bed. The cover on the beds were old and need to be updated. There was something all over the smoke alarm on the ceiling and the carpet was all stained I had been up for 20 hours and was exhausted. I always travel or stop and buy Lysol and Lysol wipes so I ended up spraying the whole room down and wiping the bathroom all down door knobs TV. For the price I paid for this room because it was graduation weekend so you always mark up the room. It was not worth what I paid wasn't even worth the regular price. It was room 314 that I stayed in so disappointed and will not come back again.

An older gentleman, who may have been the bartender, came to our table and gave us an oral history of the building, its owners and various quirks. The only drawback was all the stairs. It's not ADA accessible getting to and from the pub, where we had our reservations. There was a full flight of stairs to go down from the main floor. It was recommended that we leave through the back door to avoid the stair case. Outside, on the terrace, there were some low steps and no handrail to get to the path leading to the parking lot. No one using a wheelchair or walker can access the pub. The building itself, the decor, and outside grounds are beautiful. The gardens are lovely.

Some of the nicest people work here and Mary is the most special and kind. Very comfortable rooms and a large gym. Great parking and close to campus. The only suggestion is to have more variety at breakfast, including some fresh fruit. It would be nice to have hard boiled eggs and regular cheeses. They do offer make your own waffles, eggs, a protein, yogurt, bananas and a good variety of cereals and toppings. This is definitely a great place to stay!

It's conveniently located at Jolly and Okemos Rd right off I96. You have plenty of restaurants nearby and a Dunkin or Starbucks depending what you prefer. The hotel was very clean and smelled clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful when asked anything. The room was clean and no issues were noted. The window was very large to look out and was actually able to enjoy the sunrise view from my room. The bathroom is large and the water pressure was very good, iykyk. The beds were comfortable and the tv was a smart tv so you could log into all your apps to watch tv. Only complaint was they only had like 12 stations and we could not watch Sunday night football... All in all this place was very nice. Also has an indoor pool, nice fitness center and a laundry room for guest. If you need a place to stay around Okemos or east Lansing this is a good spot.

Be aware though that sound travels very well in this hotel - so be mindful of any noise you might make in your room. I did have some noisy neighbours nearby while here and I could hear a lot of what they were saying and doing. This is not the hotel's fault in any way though - that kind of stuff can happen anywhere. I'd happily stay here again. My stay here was very comfortable.

The wash cloths were grossly stained (we bought new of them too). They do not keep the refrigerator plugged in so it will not be cold when you get there and neither the air/heater on. If you are gone from your room for more than an hr they will come in and turn off the heater/cooler. We came back to a freezing room at the end of the day. I would steer clear of this motel, a 20 min. drive to anywhere else would be better and what we will do next time. Don't let the outside deceive you, it's the only thing that looks updated and kept up.

As for the hotel- the lobby and dining area was nicely done, but tiny. They have free breakfast every morning and the food was decent. They also have a room for watching a movie on the bigger screen TV. The coolest part is the pool which is in a separate building outside lobby. Indoor, heated and large enough for many to attend. It looks fairly new and clean. The yard had outdoor patio seating AND grills for cooking some BBQ. As for the gym, it was disappointing... can't win 'em all. The rooms I felt like were outdated. Maybe some new carpeting and cabinetry would spruce it up a bit. Also, did not feel like it was super clean.
