The first room I was given had hairs everywhere on the sheets, dirt smudges on the covers, and disgusting skin flakes everywhere. The second room I was moved to had hairs everywhere and little spiders in the sheets (see attached picture for one of the spiders I saw). I went down to the front desk and asked if house cleaning could change the sheets, or if I could be moved to another clean room. The front desk lady told me they had no house cleaning on staff at that time, and that she did not want to go up to the rooms and make sure the next one I got was clean. She then recommended I go somewhere else to spend the night. Management has refused to provide a refund, even though I did not spend the night and was essentially told to go somewhere else by their own staff. I will be disputing the charge but wanted to warn people of the service they may receive while they are here. I had an absolutely awful experience, am still trying to get my money back, and will never visit this location again.

I was told it's fine to cancel. Don't worry about it. Cancel my reservation at 12 o'clock. Now on January 29 I receive a charge on my credit card for my room stay and late cancellation. Called the hotel and the representative I spoke to was very nice. She said that she was given orders to tell everyone that's company policy and no cancellations are allowed before 24 hours.

It's conveniently located at Jolly and Okemos Rd right off I96. You have plenty of restaurants nearby and a Dunkin or Starbucks depending what you prefer. The hotel was very clean and smelled clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful when asked anything. The room was clean and no issues were noted. The window was very large to look out and was actually able to enjoy the sunrise view from my room. The bathroom is large and the water pressure was very good, iykyk. The beds were comfortable and the tv was a smart tv so you could log into all your apps to watch tv. Only complaint was they only had like 12 stations and we could not watch Sunday night football... All in all this place was very nice. Also has an indoor pool, nice fitness center and a laundry room for guest. If you need a place to stay around Okemos or east Lansing this is a good spot.

Be aware though that sound travels very well in this hotel - so be mindful of any noise you might make in your room. I did have some noisy neighbours nearby while here and I could hear a lot of what they were saying and doing. This is not the hotel's fault in any way though - that kind of stuff can happen anywhere. I'd happily stay here again. My stay here was very comfortable.

When we arrived, we were shocked to find that there are NO ELEVATORS to get to the second level, only stairs. What this means is that this hotel is not fully ADA accessible. If a disabled person wanted to stay on the 2nd level, they can't. This is serious and needs to be changed - I have never stayed at a hotel where there is no elevator and that is not mentioned on their website. We requested the 2nd floor as we didn't want to hear alot of noise on our stay. We got to our room and the room had a smell like the last people smoked in the room. Luckily we brought an electric air freshner that helped. The room was the King Suite with a Whirlpool. The room is very spacious with a kitchen area (small kitchen sink, no stove), nice sized living room area that has a TV, a door to the bedroom (bedroom has a TV also) and next to the king-sized bed is the humongous whirlpool! The whirlpool is deep and can fit several people due to the size of it. It's the biggest whirlpool I've seen. They have a separate shower area in the bathroom. Clear glass the shower has. Bathroom is nice size with a huge mirror. We enjoyed our stay there. The breakfast there was good - many options to choose from. There were 2 waffle makers there. Big ups to the African American woman that was helping a group of kids in making plates for them to keep everyone safe. There are banquet/conference rooms if you would like to have an event there. Staff was friendly. I would of been happy to give more stars if an elevator was there - hubby and I had a real time carrying all of our stuff up the stairs. We had some noisy neighbors that seemed to have alot of people in the room but that's no fault of the hotel. Thanks Best Western for an enjoyable stay for the most part.

There was hair all in the room and stains. Moving rooms wouldn't have solved the problem as others had complaints of uncleanliness too. If you HAVE to stay here I would recommend bringing your own towels, face cloths, soap, slippers, and disposable sheets. I am not a high maintenance person, the hotel is just old and unclean. Also, the room key would intermittently stop working which was frustrating as well. There was one day of the week about 10 of us were at the front desk at the same time for this reason. I brought my concerns to the front desk, and the employee acknowledged that these individuals are frequently in the area around this hotel and the neighboring hotels. I checked out early because of these issues. While I appreciated the honesty, I was disappointed that there didn't seem to be any effort to address the situation or reassure guests about their safety. A hotel should provide guests with a secure and welcoming environment from the moment they arrive until they leave. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet those expectations. I hope management takes steps to improve security and create a safer atmosphere for future guests.
