My wife went into labor 5 weeks early. At the time, she didn't even know she was in labor -- she described it as the 'constipation from hell' and we were both pretty confused and scared. We came to the hospital and met a calm and confident receptionist who helped us to the labor and delivery unit. A team of nurses walked us through delivery and the 12 days our little guy had to spend in the NICU afterward. We received excellent care and are grateful to the nurses in the labor and delivery and NICU units for saving our son's life. read more

Regarding my senior family member after a fall. No provider contact made with the out of state family other than a nurse call to say she was being discharged home and there was no concern that she would be alone in the middle of the night confused!! Nurse in ED WAS OBVIOUSLY FRUSTRATED and rude as my family member was obviously confused which was determined as likely normal for her. No one ever inquired. I was on vacation in Nolensville and accidentally fell on a concrete patio. I was treated for three broken fingers one visit. The staff took X-rays and then put me in a temp cast. Three days later I was back in the ER complaining about pain on the left side of my chest. X-rays and a CT were taken and I was told that I had a contusion but no broken ribs. I was given pain meds and released. When I got back home, 8 days later, I went to an Orthopedic hand surgeon . More diagnostic tests and was told that three fingers.... Not two... were broken and that I also had two broken ribs. The trip home on the plane would have been way more comfortable if I had known that I had broken ribs. read more

I was taken to Williamson ER via ambulance after a fall during the January 2026 ice storm. The ambulance staff and the firefighters that responded to my home were outstanding in the care they gave. That is where the great care ended. I was put in one of their 43 ER rooms. A nurse attended to me upon arrival but it was at shift change so a new nurse took over. I was in a great deal of pain and could not walk or put any weight on my legs whatsoever. Once the second nurse came in the room it was a good 2 hours before anyone else showed their face in my room. Only one Doctor was on staff for the entire ER. I was taken to get X-rays at approximately hour 4 of being in the ER. According to the X-rays taken every thing was "normal". Only after my husband went to find someone about the amount of pain I was in did the charge nurse come. She was very kind and understanding. The doctor poked his head in the door to let me know I was being discharged and X-rays were normal. I was to follow up with an orthopedic doctor. I was discharged not being able to walk and no diagnosis. The care I had at Williamson Medical Center was pathetic and I will never go there again if I have my choice. Fast forward to my Orthopedic visit, turns out my pelvis was broken in 7 places. I was pushed out the door with no more cate than a fast food wrapper being tossed in the trash. Thank goodness for my orthopedic doctor who knew my X-rays were anything but "normal ". read more

I arrived at the ER at 5:53 am after having diarrhea starting at (8:00pm), and severe vomiting starting at (11:30pm) the previous night due to a newly prescribed medicine. I was triaged at 6:00 am. I was taken back to an ER room around 15 min. later. The ER Doc came in spoke to me briefly and took my history. So far the waiting times were acceptable. No physical exam was done. Two nurses started an IV , administered an anti-nausea med and drew blood for a metabolic panel. Pretty standard care. But then the fun began. The nurses, who were pleasant at least, returned to my room only when my husband asked them for something as simple as an ice chip request. The results from the lab were back in 2-3 hours. After the labs came back , the nurses told me I was going to be admitted. I said , why? I felt much better after the IV and anti-nausea med. I immediately requested to see the ER Doc and the hospitalist to discuss my plan of care and the urgent need for hospitalization. After being abandoned in an ER room with little to no information I had no desire to stay in a hospital where you are left alone in an ER room for hours with no information from the doctor. My husband and I decided to leave at 3:00 pm after being told the hospitalist couldn't see us for another 2 hr. They are clearly short staffed but find time to chit-chat in the hallways while you as a patient are left waiting for care. As an MD, I found this behavior appalling and will be looking for other hospitals in the future. read more

I just called my PCP, Dr. John Thompson, here in Nolensville to set an appointment for my annual physical and was told that he only does one Medicare patient a month and they could not set an appointment because he only works three days a week and is booked through February. I asked about the other doctor in that office and was told the same. WCMC is a government run entity and they don't want to serve people who have insurance from the government. I had a serious medical issue and I had to go to the ER. I was admitted to the hospital where I stayed for 5 days. Everyone was fantastic; the ER admitted me in less than 5 minutes. All the nurses, doctors and case manager were caring and professional. The hospital was clean and the rooms were roomy and sunny. I would not hesitate to go there any time I need. I initially wrote a great review for Dr. Cumberledge in the family medicine practice inside of Williamson. Unfortunately I am having to rewrite this review about the ER and hospital itself. My father was hospitalized on Monday due to Covid and the effects it can have on patients with Parkinson's. He was unable to stand, eat, drink, care for himself, etc. initially the doctor wanted to send him home and my mother had to fight for him to stay as she is not able to lift him if he were to fall again due to weakness. On the second night of hospitalization my mom was called to return to the hospital because my dad was agitated (a symptom of Parkinson's, ESPECIALLY when they are ill). She came to find out that he had not received his Parkinson's medications. This can also cause agitation as it is imperative that these medications are given on time, every single day. When questioned why he had not received his medications. Their response was "we are short staffed". That is the most unacceptable answer to me. If you are so severely short staffed that you cannot properly care for your hospitalized patients (your WHOLE job) then you need to go into diversion or you need to seriously consider limiting your patient load until you are better staffed. Also while I was waiting with my mom and dad in the ER room, who I assume the charge nurse or unit nurse was making terrible remarks about all the patients they had coming in. Some being suicidal or extremely ill. This made me very uneasy to hear an employee speak in this manner about patients that were coming into the ER at Williamson Medical Center. This particular employee could use some sensitivity training and some de-escalation training. She chose healthcare for a reason and perhaps it is time for her to get out of the profession. I am so disappointed by our last visit here and I am so scared that something will happen again to my father and we will be forced to come here again. I use to believe this place was great and everyone was always professional and kind. That isn't the case anymore. I don't know what happened but something needs to change. I don't want to be scared to take a loved one to a hospital for fear of inadequate care or just employees being downright mean. Please do better Williamson Medical Center. read more

I got in a fight with a huge stick. Naturally the stick came out the victor. The coward poked me right in the eye. What a mess. Me being a guy and thus an idiot, tried to tough it out. After a restless night my daughter thought that it might be a good idea to get it checked out. Her decision bolstered by my asking her how to get a blood stain out of a pillowcase. Did I mention that I am an idiot? By then a second daughter got involved as well as my ex-wife chiming in. Uh oh. We first went to Primary Care Eye Clinic in Columbia. I got excellent attention and some excellent advice. You're an idiot, you need to see a specialist, like now. Easier said than done. Being from Southern California, my insurance is what you'd expect of California, nuts, and a bit out of left field. Before I could see a specialist in an attempt to save my eye, I had to make an emergency room visit so they could refer me to a retina doctor. SMH..... This brought us to Williamson Medical. They were very efficient. The check-in and triage processes were painless. As was my visit with the doctor. The real pain will come when I get the bill. As I have a suspicion that my insurance will find a loophole to snake out of covering the visit. I have to laugh at some of these Yelp reviews who criticize Williamson Medical. Hello.... If you go in for an emergency it's an emergency! You didn't have an appointment. You have to expect that there's going to be a wait and that it'll cost an arm and a leg (just an expression, just an expression...) if your insurance sucks. So don't take it out on the hospital folks. They're humans too, only a bit smarter for not going into battle against a tree branch. How did my eye turn out you ask? I am a heart transplant patient and cancer survivor. For at least the past two days I have been functionally incapacitated with sonething severe enough to warrant multiple calls to my transplant team at Vanderbilt Med. This morning my transplant team told me to go to E.R., that I could go to nearby Williamson County Med or Vanderbilt which was much further and has resulted in 16 and 18 hour wait times. We went to the Vanderbilt Walk In clinic which is about two miles from our house and where I have previously received emergency services. We were there about 5 minutes and were told to go to the E.R. I did not get out of the car. We immediately went to Williamson County Med E.R. The receptionist at WCMER was great. My ET room nurse, Alley, was beyond awesome, as was another blonde female employee who helped me in my ER room whose name i cannot remember, the lady who drew my blood and the insurance liazon. That was it. In all my hundreds (?) of visits to orher hospitals and health care providers, I have never felt so unwelcome. The first E.R. nurse i saw was completely dismissive of me (despite me being in a wheelchair). He made me feel like I was intruding on his nap. My wife who knew more about what was going on since I was mostly incoherent, was parking the car. Every time I asked him to please wait on her, he made me feel like he didn't care about her. He was arrogant and impatient, and repeatedly said things to the effect I was not presenting with anything and questioned why I was even there all the while I was feeling and looking slow and horrible It is important to note, I was the only patient in the e.r., the waiting room was empty. So he was not being rushed. He then hustled me off to an E.R. bed/room. I spent the remainder of the day and first part of the night drifting in and of naps and undergoing a battery of tests and scans. To be fair, the techs seemed confident and efficient but absent the usual cheerful banter I enjoy with other hospitals and professionals. Ultimately, a doctor came into my room, sat down and stared at me then said tbe didn't have anything on me, and I could either go home or he could call and speak to my transplant team at VUMC. He was highly dismissive and void of any bedside manner. I told him, "Well something's wrong" and for him to call my team. He said o.k. and walked out. That's where we stand as of this writing. I am not a hypercondriact (?sp) or "touchy feely" patient who complains a lot. I like to think I have a reputation of "loving nurses" and staff. So I don't need my head patted 24/7. But I do expect basic professional courtesy. With the exception of the aforesaid individuals, I lay here getting ready to go thinking i have been shunned, uncared for and unwelcome. I have received NO information, care or concern about my issues. I will be leaving this place substantially more uncomfortable, less informed and more concerned than when I arrived. I feel like reject from the refund line at a dollar store than a patient in a medical center. Next time, I will try to take the extra time and go straight to Vanderbilt where I feel as though I receive superior care from all of the medical staff. read more

I went to Williamson Medical Center ED at 2 am last Monday night. I am 62 and have never made an emergency department visit. I was having extreme pain in my abdomen. The ED was pretty much empty. They did bloodwork, urinalysis and a CT Scan with contrast. I have never experienced less caring or less concerned medical professionals in my life. The totally clueless doctor asked me what I thought it was. They misdiagnosed me and tried to tell me the pain was from reflux. Lower abdominal pain. They gave me Toradol which helped the pain but once it wore off I was right back where I started. Went to Vanderbilt GI and even though they didn't know what it was, they were so much more caring and helpful. I think it was some kind of horrible virus. I had been out of the country the week before. I will never waste my time on Williamson Health ED again. The only person who seemed to care at all was the CT Scan tech. Sunday night around 7pm my son fell from his hoverboard and seemed to have a broken arm with some bone poking through. (Insert mom gagging motion) for real I did NOT handle it well. I yelped "hospital" as I had exactly zero clue where the closest ER was. We race down 96 at cut throat speeds. So when we rushed into the ER I was NOT COOL!!!!! these folks. Y'all, They had it DOWN!!!! And they were calm, professional and helpful. From the front sign-in gal (I don't catch her name but she was FAST! to the front desk processing lady, Kathy, to the gentleman (nurse or doctor), Jim who literally came to get us to a room 3 minutes after signing in. Whoa!!!! What a whirlwind of emotional freak out in my heart. These adult professional people were exactly what we needed. I wish I could tell you every detail because some were funny, but you should know it was smooth and fluid. Holly quickly set the IV with gentleness, inserted some antibiotics and pain meds then the fabulous Dr. Walsh helped him move his arm into a position for X-rays....which he had to ask her to put back. . It was quite the process and she was so gently with my boy!!!! Everyone was. There was also Ann. She was X-ray tech (or something like that). She was jovial and helped him get his mind off the pain while she got the shot. So kind. Everyone literally treated us with 5 star attention and service. It was a stressful situation for me but we all continued to PRAY for healing and skill for all the workers and PEACE which absolutely came!!! Wow! Dr Walsh's work session was about to end but she assured me her long time friend Dr Burton was going to take over at 10 and she was just as wonderful. It was a LONG wait because we had just eaten dinner and had to wait for an empty tummy. Forever wait!!!! 10:30 Dr. Watson the bone guy come to the rescue. They put him under, escorted me from the room, praise GOD and took about 15 minutes to reset his arm!! Yeah. 15 minutes. BOOM! I'm so happy I did NOT get to stay!!!! So basically I'm just thankful to all the peeps at the hospital closest to my house which happens to be the BEST!!!! Yes. And Jim. He sealed the deal! He was the first to take us in and the last to say goodbye. Now we get a hard cast tomorrow morning with Mr. Bone Doctor Watson. Can't wait!!!!! read more

Our experience with the ER at Williamson Medical Center was devoid of all professionalism and surely a violation of ethical conduct. At noon, my wife felt excruciating pain. I recall driving past a billboard for Williamson Medical Center near the hospital advertising extremely low wait times, ghastly ironic in retrospect. By 2:00 p.m., she was checked into the ER while I waited outside due to COVID-19 restrictions. Three hours later, she was still in agonizing pain waiting to see a doctor! I'll forgive this because the process is much slower due to modern protocol, although three hours seems excessive. Yeah, they don't put that on the billboard. Finally, at 5:15 p.m., she was brought back, and the horribly slow process of getting an MRI was finally complete by 7:00 p.m. She was returned to her room, heavily impaired by a three-drug concoction to ease the pain. Night had fallen, the frigid cold encroached inside my car, and still no word on my wife's condition. She was too compromised by valium to coherently respond to my concerned texts. I hadn't seen her in six hours, seven hours, eight hours, ..., and her only response was the repetitive, slightly incoherent text message, "still looking for MRI." Wait, they're looking for your MRI? What do you mean they're looking for it? They lost it? In a hospital? They took an MRI, and four hours later they can't locate the results? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? My sweet wife was too impaired to grasp the neglect, left alone in a room that I was prohibited from visiting, abandoned and forgotten with a missing MRI and not a single concerned employee. I was livid, but there was no getting past the entrance to ask questions. Didn't the hospital need empty rooms and quicker patient turnover than this in the ER? Are hospitals during the COVID era just this slow? Where was my wife, and was she okay? At 11:00 p.m., nine hours after arriving, FOUR HOURS after an MRI, my wife was jarred awake by the sound of a female employee in the hallway actually yelling on her behalf, "You better find that MRI! This lady has been waiting for FOUR HOURS." Clearly this wasn't normal. At least my wife finally had an advocate behind the forbidden walls. Soon, the MRI magically surfaced. With a diagnosis of a painful spinal issue, she was released at 11:30 p.m. and essentially dumped out on the sidewalk. Now, even if the above shortcomings can be excused by the effects of the coronavirus on our hospital system, the ending to our horrific evening cannot be. My wife texted and said she was released and standing outside freezing. I hastily pulled up to find my wife doubled over, vomiting from the effects of the drugs, standing alone without an employee in sight. Now what medical professional would leave a disoriented woman still sedated by valium throwing up in the freezing cold without overseeing her safety? This made me furious! For the two million followers who have read my reviews, my blogs, my social media presence for decades, none of you has ever witnessed me name drop, or mention my connections, or ever use the phrase, "Do you know who I am?" I don't mention any of this, ever. But I'm going to end with this. My wife is one of the most powerful female executives in the healthcare industry in Nashville. If this is how they treat one of their own, someone with a name well known in Middle Tennessee amongst medical professionals, how the heck do you think they'll treat the ordinary, average patient? Vanderbilt always peppers me with a barrage of emails over the course of several months begging me to answer the question, "How was your visit to our facility?" What a mess this place is. You show up needing help and it takes 3 hours to get in. Mid day Thursday. They try and sell you a CT scan as first course of action at $8k. Then when you need an IV for dehydration it takes 1 he for the nurse to come in and do that. Find another place to be sick if possible. read more

Worst health care experience of my life. Barbra Solomon tried to use my 1 year olds sickness as a teaching lesson/fear mongering opportunity. She quickly decided that it MUST be something severe because he is not currently vaccinated (for many reasons), putting him on an IV, giving him a catheter, and drawing his blood. After going to the pediatrician only 12 hours later, we find out he only has an ear infection. This ear infection took his pediatrician 30 seconds to find. While the night before we were at the hospital for hours being convinced he was practically in critical condition. She pushed an antibiotic on him saying that if we waited to speak to our pediatrician it would be too dangerous and whatever he had could get into his blood stream, etc. etc. Barbra never took the time to explain anything to me or hear my concerns. I have truly never had a worse experience, with a night full of fear. He has an ear infection. That's it. You'd think than an emergency room doctor would be competent enough to check for these kinds of things, especially in a 1 year old that has recently been teething. read more

I would give zero stars if it would have let me. I had a major surgery on Friday and came home Sunday. The nursing care I had Friday post-op and then overnight that night and Saturday night, refused to give me any pain meds that worked. That was the most awful medical experience I have ever had. The day nurses were a bit better, but still left things to be desired. I'm not saying more until I speak to someone about the legalities of what transpired, but wanted to warn everyone of the piss poor care you will receive there. CAUTION: schedule your surgery somewhere other than Williamson Medical. And don't let them lie to you and blame your surgeon. read more

ZERO STARS!!! This hospital is dangerous. They have negligent staff who treat patients like animals. I was suffering a late term miscarriage at 16 weeks and rushed here late at night to get help. Upon arriving at the hospital I had already delivered the baby, however he was still attached by the umbilical cord and I was desperate to receive assistance as he was lifelessly hanging from my body. They checked me into the ER (even though I asked twice to be sent to L&D and was refused) and then I proceeded to sit in the ER room for OVER 2 1/2 HOURS while my baby was literally hanging out of me, waiting for someone to come assist. When the ER doctor finally showed up, he refused to perform any exam on me, pelvic or ultrasound. I asked again if I could be sent to L&D or have an OB attend to me. He refused. The nurse pulled me aside at one point and said I was wasting my time asking, b/c they would just ignore my request and no one would come. Side note, apparently if you go to Williamson Medical, you have to be at least 20 weeks pregnant for them to even bother to send you to L&D. The doctor told me he was going to discharge me if I didn't agree to him attending to my situation. Considering I had the baby hanging from me, I felt I had no choice but to allow him to help in removing the baby and placenta. Again, he did not perform ANY EXAM at all. He walked up, propped me up on a cushion and then proceeded to use his fingers to scoop my placenta out of me. Afterwards he walked off and didn't bother to do an exam, use a speculum to be sure he removed it all, nothing. He treated me like a dog. He was arrogant and rude and argumentative when I has requested someone who was better capable of handling this situation. Not surprisingly, less than 12 hours later, I was hemorrhaging excessively because the doctor had left a massive part of my placenta inside me. I rushed to St. Thomas midtown who did an exam and the doctor there was appalled that such a large amount of placenta was overlooked. The amount of blood I lost was shocking and life threatening. The ER doctor at Williamson's failure to do any kind of exam led to this outcome. Thankfully I did not go back to Williamson when I was hemorrhaging and instead went to St. Thomas who led me straight into L&D's ER and cared for me efficiently and quickly. In addition to the doctor's negligence, while my husband and I were at the hospital, some rags caught fire in the basement and they had to shut down the hospital for the fire department to come to handle the situation. I have put in two formal complaints to voice my concerns to Williamson Medical and essentially have been dismissed by them and their committee. I had hoped it could be an opportunity for them to learn from mistakes, put better practices in place, but instead they made excuses and dismissed my claims. The medical Director of the ER didn't take any of my concerns seriously and covered for his inept staff and inadequate care. Further, the ER doctor who attended to me, should not be able to practice medicine. Shockingly, he is the Chief Medical Officer at Williamson!!!! This says everything about their low standards and lack of care and professionalism. The chief medical officer's ethics are severely lacking and he has no business practicing medicine and caring for patients in any capacity. DO NOT GO TO WILLISMAON MEDICAL even if its life threatening. I implore to you to drive to Nashville to a better equipped hospital with doctors and staff that will listen and treat you like a human being. read more

Rushed my mother to Williamson medical at 1 AM this morning hoping to get relief from the writhing pain she was experiencing related to bladder cancer. Despite having only one other patient, the ER team was cold, harsh, thoughtless and entirely lacking in empathy. They were also mistaken in key parts of their diagnosis and their treatment. Based on my experience today, I would never send a relative or a friend to Williamson Medical under any circumstance imaginable. Why do these "healthcare professionals" feel they are serving their patients if they allow interminable delays (we were left for 2 hours without getting pain medication of any kind - the very reason we went in the first place) and brutish bedside manners (being moved from bed to gurney like a sack of potatoes, my mother getting screamed at during insertion of a catheter, blaming the patient for difficulty finding a vein {it took 3 tries and 3 pokes} in which to insert an IV, etc.). 10-minutes into the nurse screaming catheter insertion I heard the head nurse, Amy, finally ask my mother what her name was. Think about that. I found medical trash strewn all over the room we were in. This is 3rd world treatment and 3rd world quality care. I have great reverence for those who commit their lives to the serving and healing of strangers. I revere and feel hfriends who are ER doctors, social workers, cancer scientists. These people serve mankind and they have empathy somehow baked into their DNA. The ER team at Williamson Medical should seriously consider why they chose to serve the public. I wouldn't hire any of the nurses or the doctor we dealt with to deliver my mail - they'd find a way to screw it up. They might, however, be just right to pick up our trash curbside. To be fair, I should note we had generally positive experiences from the ER check-in staff. Also had acceptable treatment and care after getting my mother checked into the main hospital. But by the time we were upstairs, we had lost faith in the entire place, so we were watching/prodding them closely to be sure they attended properly to our mom. No one should need to do that. Later in the day I spoke to an EMT who said he wouldn't allow his friends or family to get taken to Williamson Medical ER, that they have an awful reputation as a dumping ground for patients who have no advocacy and no close family oversight. No stars horrible nursing staff ( for the most part), inefficient, unqualified, lazy, uncommitted, poor communication, it was disgraceful!

Williamson has some lovely people working for it. There are so many unsung heroes in the hospital. However... I've been to WMC a few times over the years, and none of the visits has been pleasant. (Not that hospital visits generally are). One time, I was going through withdrawal on a prescribed medication and fainted at work. Once in the ER, I waited for 4 hours with almost no interaction from anyone but a doctor who treated me like an addict off the streets. There was serious condescension, and he even alluded to me just being there for drugs. And here I was just looking to see that my head hadn't gotten injured in the fall. Another time, I once again waited 4-5 hours in an ER room while Nurse Ratched criticized my weight, my unmarried status, and patronized a close friend, (who is also a RN), that had come with me. In that time, I was given NO treatment whatsoever. I never even saw a doctor. Then a bill for $700+ dollars came in the mail. But it gets better. The bill was for SOMEONE ELSE. And when I contacted their in-house billing service, I fell down a rabbit hole of what has got to be one of the most dubious medical billing companies of all times. They don't even have a contact number or a real website. The hospital says to ignore the bill, and I wait for an update. Then I'm notified that I've been sent to collections! What?! So now I'm in Collections, trying to fight a bill for someone else's treatment, and WMC will not take responsibility for their error. It has been nearly a year now, and still my credit score is being dinged by this. What a nightmare. read more

I am exceedingly satisfied with my wife's delivery here. All of the doctors and nurses have been top notch, high caliber professionals and the nutrition services team gave us every bit of southern hospitality and even called us to take our meal orders (Erica and Dee have been our nutrition techs and have been especially helpful and wonderful). Yesterday was a first time experience with the adult ER, And it was pretty great! My elderly mother has a lot of urinary issues, And her Urologist sent us to the ER. There was a two hour wait, To be expected at this time of the year. Love the accessibility of masks, Since the waiting area was full of the Flu. Once we went through triage, Everything moved right along. Loved the communication between the ER Dr. and my mothers Urologist, He had good insight before he even spoke to us. The only thing I could say that could have been better was that the Nurse could have been better at listening, She was in the zone. I understand the busyness in that setting, But details about the patient are important. We left with a plan in place, My mother felt good about it. I would definitely use Williamson Medical again, Beats going downtown. read more

I arrived in the ER around 4:30 in the afternoon with fairly mild symptoms and was ok with a bit of a wait. However, many of the people waiting around me did not seem to be in the same situation. A few people seemed to be in need of immediate medical care, but much like me, their waits lasted more than an hour. I specifically watched two people who seemed to be suffering from a seizure and a heart attack be seated in the waiting room for over half an hour. It was clear that the wait had been long for a while, as every few minutes a nurse would come and call for a person who had left. I finally got through at 6:30, and from there, things seemed to move a little more quickly. Once in, the staff (specifically the nurse I was with) was fairly quick and friendly. We came to Williamson medical in hopes of a shorter wait, but if you are closer to hospitals in Nashville, I would recommend visiting one of those. read more

My PCP ordered me to the emergency room because I couldn't see out of my right eye is suddenly. The check in process, the triage process went great. Very professional and thorough staff members. When I was triage I was given an eye test and of course I couldn't see anything out of my right eye because of blurred vision. The emergency doctor gave me an eye test. He told me he would be right back but he never came back. I had to ask the lab person who was great what test he was ordering and what it was for. I never saw the emergency doctor and wasn't given any test results and was discharged. I had to read the diagnoses on my discharge paperwork as no one explained to me what was wrong with me. I went to the ophthalmologist that he set an appointment with who was wonderful. The emergency doctor misdiagnosed me.I won't go back to that hospital unless I am dying. read more

This review is coming two months late and after much reflection on the experience my family and I had with this hospital. I wish that I could name drop and call this nurse out specifically. She worked on the ICU floor with Covid-19 patients. I'm sure like most she was overworked and overwhelmed but she met her patients family with the most insensitive and nasty attitude that I have literally ever witnessed. We were told to come to the hospital because the outlook of our father was not looking good. We were preparing to pray over him hard and say our goodbyes possibly for the last time. The nurse busted through the doors of the ICU and snarkily told us that we couldn't go back and we had to wait until the next day to do a visit "because the visits were all used up" she went on to rant about how too many family members were calling and checking on his status and demanded that they stop. We asked is there anyway we can see him, we are his wife and kids and his conditionwas becoming critical? She replied "No, and I won't go ask if it's a possibility because I already know what the answer is!" My brother asks again "please at least let my mom, his wife, go back" ..she yells at my brother who asked politely mind you "I do not have time for this. No!" And frantically pulls her badge out and hurries back through the ICU door letting it shut in our faces. The next morning we were called in again to see him, this time we were allowed back. No one told us that he had passed. My mother a nurse, felt his heart and she anounced to us that he was gone. Everyone crying for a good 20 min before the doctor on the floor came in and all he said was "Welp, we did what we could" in the most nonchalant insensitive manner. This was by far the strangest and most disappointing experience for me. I could seriously go on and on about this experience but I think you get the point. I pray that none of my family choose to revisit this hospital for any future needs. read more

This has been the ER I grew up going to and have used for over 20 years myself and with friends and family. The ER really has gone down hill. I feel it is an unsafe environment for patients walking in off the street. Perhaps if you come by ambulance they give better care. As a person that works in the medical field, the professionalism of the staff we had contact with during this health emergency was lacking to say the least. The staff was rude, lazy and seemingly not very well trained. They lacked empathy and compassion for others, and preferred to cut up in the hallway discussing food options to looking out for the safety or concerns of their patients. Blood borne disease risk exposure is a true health concern here due to an apparent lack of enforcement of standardized safety precautions. I understand they are remodeling but blood on floors and mattresses and dirty linens are unacceptable in any capacity. I took pictures for proof. The greatest issue was being told by the nurse and the doctor that they had done the appropriate tests and diagnosis codes and paperwork for home oxygen to come and supply my family member with oxygen. We waited in the ER for hours with a potential pulmonary embolism. That apparently does not constitute an emergency at this hospital. We were assured that at 4 pm yesterday it was too late for home oxygen to be supplied. This was a blatant lie I found out today. I have gone back and forth with the ER today and we still do not have oxygen that was promised. And they have been extremely rude to deal with over the phone. I have proof that the oxygen was already approved though insurance and I have been in contact with the oxygen supplier who told us the hospital lied to us about several things. My parent was compromised yesterday and now we are in serious trouble once again because of the ER dropping the ball. I will be registering a complaint with whoever is over the ER. And I will find out who is over this division and will make a complaint there as well too. The state of health care has gone down hill drastically since Covid and I realize many people in the medical field are very bitter. If you get to the point where you no longer can truly care for patients because you lack empathy or lack the emotion, and at time to get out of that environment. You're too burned out. You are not helping, you are harming patients. Maybe their staff is just totally bitter and burned out. I don't know. Honestly, there really is no excuse. I don't care how overworked, understaffed or underpaid you are. Do no harm. read more

Third world medical facility if that. Equipment that wouldn't work included basic items such as electronic (old fashioned) thermometers and heart monitors. It took the nurse attempts with four different pieces of equipment before one was located that functioned. No nausea or pain relief until one was found that worked and somehow that was for (4!!!) hours after admission. Doctors and nurses were completely uninterested in the surgery I had earlier in the day and would not assist with prescribed steps (it was eye surgery and not related to the emergency I was experiencing. Not to mention the leaks in the roof and other structural problems. Or the nurse jamming my foot against the door way when she took me to my room. I could go on and on, but the upshot is, if I ever have another emergency in the Nashville area, I will go strait to a Vanderbilt facility. read more

I was recommended to the Williamson Medical Center Outpatient imaging center by the Bone and Joint Institute of Tennessee who is in the same medical network. This was for my daughter to have an MRI done quickly, so it was scheduled by the Bone and Joint which I appreciated. Williamson Medical Center charged more than DOUBLE what it cost everywhere else for the MRI. $1500 at their location, and I later found as low as $500 at other Imaging centers. Once I realized it, I spoke to Rhonda in billing, and she told me she is, "sorry, but I can't help you". I asked why it was twice as much, and she said "those other imaging centers are stand alone facilities". So I said, "Why does it cost less at the other places?" Rhonda went on and said "because they are not a part of a hospital". So essentially she told me, "We are more expensive, BECAUSE we are more expensive". THANKS Williamson Medical Center for taking advantage of a father trying to do the right thing for his daughter!!! I hope that $800-$1000 you overcharged me helps you continue to take advantage of people that are sick seeking medical care.
