Now let me be upfront, I've never used this place for eye exams for me or my kids, never bought…read moreframes from them... however I have used them twice for issues involving my kids' eyeglasses.... that's what this review will cover.... I've had 2 instances in the last 6 weeks with my kids and their sight equipment... first time baby girl had the leg on her glasses come off when the screw fell out. I didn't have a replacement screw and I didn't feel like driving into Baton Rouge to the place where the glasses were bought so I figured I'd pay whatever they charged to get it done local... stopped in asked if they could repair, didn't tell them I'd never been here before.... they said sure in under 10 minutes glasses back together and in my hand....I say what's the cost? They say nothing, free service...to myself I'm like Damn that's great! Thank them and leave.... A few weeks later the boy comes in with the lens out of his glasses... dropped them he said.... Back I go, the folks here look at them and 10 minutes later completely repaired.... how much I ask? Nothing, free service they say.... again I'm like Damn that's great! I'm pretty sure they know I've never used them before for eye exams but the staff has been 100% friendly, efficient and professional.... they offer exams, frames and lenses and after my repair experiences I'm thinking I may have to start taking my kids here.... I'll wholeheartedly give them my endorsement because if my experience as a non-customer is any indication I expect they treat all their customers great!

New contacts fit well and I'm getting used to the multi vision contacts. Really took great care of me and overcame the bad experience from Friday that was just a misunderstanding. Everyone has hiccups, it's how they react and they did awesome.

Bathroom was in need of attention. It is a large practice. I wanted to go to the uptown office but because I wanted evaluation for cataracts, I had to go to the Metairie office. I was seen by a technician who wore sweatpants as a uniform. Seriously? She did the refraction. Several times I told her that the images were NOT clear to me. Eyes examined and seen by Dr. Kurica who said I didn't have cataracts. Great. Given an rx and he said, "It's practically the same as your old one; I just tweaked it a bit". Got glasses made at Costco and the rx was WAY off. Costco said there was a BIG difference between previous rx and new one. Definitely not a "tweaking". Tried to get a return appointment for correction and was told I had to see same doctor and got an appointment for 3 weeks later! For second visit, the waiting room was completely packed. Several people in wheelchairs. Was seen by same technician as first time. When I explained my situation she immediately blamed Costco for error. When I pointed out that the rx he gave me was significantly different from my previous rx, in spite of him telling me he only "tweaked it", she said, "Well his idea of tweaking is bigger than our idea of it". ???? Went back to waiting room but it was so crowded I chose to wait in the hall. Looked like a COVID factory in there. My appointment was at 1:45. By 3:00 I still had not seen the doctor. I asked a few times about the delay and was told they were really busy (obviously). Clearly he was over scheduled. Finally I grabbed the doc between exam rooms and told him I'd been there since 1:45. Shortly after I was roomed. Doctor came in and did his own refraction and admitted the technician did it wrong. Gave me new rx. So I had two visits and an afternoon blown because of technician's incompetence. Not to mention time and material wasted by Costco. Now I have to go back and get another pair. I do not recommend this practice. No offense to Dr. Kurica but his staff needs training and improved dress code to look professional, and scheduling needs correction.

I came in for my check up and immediately got greeted by a very attentive and professional staff that got me going. After a very brief wait, a tech called Tisa took me to an exam room and took very good care of me; she was very friendly and efficient and made me feel calm. Dr. Arora came in a few minutes later and gave me my check up very efficiently. He was again very attentive and willing to answer all of my questions. He surprised me by remembering about me and my family, and asked about them. He made sure that I knew everything I wanted to know and took the time to allay all of my misgivings and questions. Dr. Arora and his team take you back to a time when Drs actually cared about patients. He is not only one of the best at what he does, technically, but also takes the time to make you feel comfortable with the whole process.

After 1 hour and 45 minutes have had our vision checked by an assistant but not seen the doctor at the 2 hour mark. I have to leave in 20 minutes to make MY next commitment. I'm going to need to leave without completing this visit opening up a whole can of worms with the insurance company and I'll be out my money and time for nothing. Is this a one off? Understandable things come up, but should we have been offered to reschedule an hour earlier? Need some improved scheduling or should this have been better communication with us? Although a minor additional reason, as another reviewer mentioned, there is a $150 consultation fee even if you don't get anything done there - in contrast to most other surgeons I went to that offered free initial consultations. I would not have minded paying for the consultation if I felt that my questions were answered and my concerns were addressed attentively, but I kept getting the same question repeatedly, and did not feel that the consultation was worth the cost.

I wasn't sure what to expect because the office seems like something between a spa and a doctor's office. It was exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated. The check-in process was very easy with minimal paperwork, and then I was taken into an office to get some photos of my face taken. The procedure itself was painless and Candace had such a gentle touch! She explained everything she was doing as she worked and nothing she did felt too aggressive. Candace was very professional and I could tell she was very knowledgable about all of the services she provides. I was done in no time and my skin felt fantastic afterward. It still feels and looks great a day later (no after-facial breakouts or redness). I will definitely be back!
