This is my first year here and so far I am so so about this place. Not overly impressed to be…read morehonest. I signed my 3 year old up for dance and gymnastics. I don't like that we can't see inside the classrooms. I understand that parents inside the studio would cause a distraction, but for being in this specific location (Jefferson Ave one at east) it's been there for over 15+ years. You'd think the school would have invested in some camera system where the parents could watch from their phones or something. Again, my daughter is three so I'm not expecting a whole lot. But, it would be nice to know what she's learning. Also, I don't like how I was asked to bring my daughter to a 3:30 or 4:30 time slot or that I could get a refund, as the school needed to accommodate more students. I understand that, but I do not get off work till about 4:30. So after trying one more week I was going to ask for the refund, but then another instructor told me to keep my daughter in with the 6 year olds since there's only 4 weeks of class left. It seems like the teachers are great, I'm not knocking them at all. I think it's more management and the whole building set up. The parking lot is a nightmare to try and get out of if you're parked in the back, mainly. If you register your kid here, park at 1st advantage to save some time.

World Class Too Gym in suffolk VA ,is not only awfully expensive and requires many volunteer hours…read moreit is petty and poorly run. The kids are poorly coached, and the equipment is very warn and appears to be very old. Not to mention, there is no accountability for the coaches and their actions. The kids receive no feedback or explanation on how to improve. They do not care here this place is only about making money and a name for itself with no regard to taking the time to help the children grow. They do not have enough coaches and are very impatient with the children. I will never take my child there again.

In my opinion this gym is totally infected from top to bottom with extremely ABUSIVE coaching, bias…read moreand discriminatory training, most especially ABUSIVE is the TOPS coach‼. They are OVER sold and UNDER staffed. The coaching ratio was always atrocious, way outside of usag suggested guidelines. Seems to me they would be in violation of their 501 (c) 3 bylaws. By FORCING team parents to work excessive bingo's or pay a ridiculous rate for a sub, and the owner outwardly threatening to take it out on your kids. If you do not comply. If the IRS would only look into this... With little to no payoff, the distribution of funds is completely unequal with the majority of the budget allotted for only TOPS girls and elite hopefuls. The total budget in itself is a complete joke. I can not even count how many amazing gymnasts and families have left over the last 7 years, So many. If your child is one of the chosen few, they will use and abuse her until she absolutely burned out and fully broken. College is certainly NOT a promise either no matter what you accomplish or do for the "gym". Some have even said they were completely left to their own devices, after spending years training there. That not 1 finger was lifted to get them a scholarship or even a offer. And some of the athletes have been too broken to ever finish college on the gymnastics team. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD HERE!

I've been to YMCAs across the U.S. and Canada and this is tied with only one for as my favorite…read moreYMCA! Besides the location and staff, the best part about it for me is the dry sauna and the stationary bicycles facing the windows. I'm also super stoked that it became 24 hours starting this month/April...at least the main workout area is. The only cons I've experienced so far are: 1. The showers were only cold water at the time I tried them - but, in all fairness, it was end of a Sunday and lots of kids there. 2. There is only one Hip Abduction & Adduction Machine/Dual Inner/Outer Thigh Machine and someone is always using it. Despite being at the gym for hours, I've never seen it open so I have to use my thigh bands at home. There really needs to be two of them. Many of the machines around it go unused so they could easily be swapped out for a 2nd Dual thigh machine. Otherwise, this place is great and I feel safe when I'm there. Since it is such a nice YMCA, I can see why it gets so busy at certain times. I adjust my workout time when I can to avoid the crowds, but I understand that not everyone can do that.

I work with them individually well also in a group to be able to get them to swim safely. The changing rooms were very nice and quite clean and private, which was really great as well. Everyone was super nice and super welcoming and we really had a great time taking some lessons there. I would join the YMCA if I didn't already belong to another gym though, because it looks like it has a heck of a lot of stuff. Even a climbing wall! And lots of classes and activities too! Might have to look into that sometime soon!
