I strongly caution anyone that has a child with dietary restrictions to think twice about enrolling their child in this facility. They do not respect parents wishes or children's needs with regard to food. If your child is vegetarian or lactose intolerant be especially careful due to the fact the try and feed your children "hidden" products to which they are unable to consume. Some examples are dairy products in mashed potatoes or vegetables cooked using Ham. Even when caregivers are aware of the restrictions they will feed your preschooler items they are not supposed to consume. When I expressed my concerns to the director's attention my concerns were labeled as "unfounded" and met with a hateful tone.

Not only does this facility have five outside self-pitch batting cages, but it has at least an equal number of impeccable baseball fields with nice scoreboards, dugouts and bleachers. I would say they are at least AA-level, maybe AAA-level sized fields. There is also four fields that look like they are probably used for A ball. In addition, it looked like there were a similar number of soccer fields plus several basketball courts. All of these were incredibly maintained. And this is just the outdoor facilities. Indoor are more soccer and baseball practice facilities, daycare and fitness facilities. We used the outdoor fields for free. Based on the website, there is no initiation fee and monthly dues are $75 for a family of four. A great bargain. We did not use the indoor facilities, but they looked great and were equally well-maintained.

Lastly when we told them we were pulling our son, instead of asking why we were doing so after just a day and a half, Andrea said that they just wanted to remind us that according to the agreement we have to pay for 4 more weeks bc they required 4 weeks notice and that they would be happy to continue to watch him. It was so sad. I took our sweet baby home, gave him a bath and just held him and cried what an awful daycare experience.

First, before we moved to the area, the staff was super kind and helpful. The owner was willing to do a virtual tour to help us make feel comfortable with the school. Since attending, our daughter learned sign language, practiced yoga, learned Spanish, and made a ton of friends/attended multiple birthday parties. She loved her teachers, the school is very secure, and is in a wonderful location nestled near some woods, but still in a convenient Yorktown location. My daughter even came home one day with tomatoes from their garden! We got tadpole updates daily with photos (LOVE that as a working mom) and the school communicated super well during COVID spikes. Out of all of her teachers, there's maybe 2 that were good. The rest lacked the training and developmental understanding of young children. I expected more from The Goddard school. My daughter was well behaved but has ADHD. At the time she was too young to be diagnosed. My daughter had been screened for autism and she did not have it. One of her teachers who was not trained in child development nor mental health took it upon herself to hand write me a rude note and leave it in her bag telling me she thought she had autism. It was unprofessional, and frankly offensive. The staff claimed they addressed it, but the teacher never apologized. My daughter was treated like an outcast by some of teachers (not all.) She had 2 really great teachers. I wish she could've just stayed with them instead of moving forward. A lot of the teachers lacked compassion and seem overwhelmed. I can very honestly say that instead of trying to support my child they deemed her as not good enough. She wasn't ill behaved. She didn't hit or kick other children. She simply struggled with not sitting still and focusing. They made me feel like my daughter was defective. Goddard didn't help my daughter the way I expected. It was a disappointing and pricey experience. Now that she's in public school her teachers love her and she's at the top of her class. That's not because of Goddard. That's because she's in a better environment. One more thing, you will be charged during the holidays when they are closed. Get ready to pay even more for additional childcare during that time.
