A short fuse and a close call…read more After Emily and I checked in to our hotel room, we wanted to stretch our legs and see if there was anything nearby for some beer and some food. Turns out, Short Fuse was right up the road and a 5 minute walk got us there. For a Sunday, it wasn't too busy but not dead, so we got seated right away. We ordered some beer and took a look at the menu. While nothing really struck our fancy, our waitress made a comment that if we did want any food, it might be slim pickings as they were running out of stuff. Turns out, this day was the last day they were open. Talk about timing! After she mentioned that, I started to notice that people were buying bar signs and various other things. Emily started off with a Guava Gose and I grabbed a Krankshaft kolsch. We sampled each other beers and we both really liked what the other ordered. I don't really know what a gose is but, damn, was that good! I've had Krankshaft before so I knew what I was getting myself in to. We ended up ordering a second round of the same beers and let each other sample the other's beer a little more liberally this time. While we were kind of hungry, nothing on the menu really struck our fancy, especially considering they might've been out of it. Room service took care of those hunger pangs later after a few more beers in the hotel bar. Online reviews for this place seemed hit and miss but I really enjoyed my time there and really enjoyed the artwork on the walls and the vibe of the place. We did contemplate buying some bar signs on our way out but declined as we don't know what we would exactly do with them. It sucks to see a small business close but they did say they may try to open up a new place in a new location in the future.

The waitress was friendly and gave great recommendations. I also loved the huge space with its superhero vibes. Parking was limited, but it's totally worth checking out.

Our driver was patient the entire time when some of the groups got a bit rowdy and overall was a great guide. Things were mostly on time (our initial pickup was a little late) and everything went seamlessly from winery to winery without any issues. They picked fantastic wine spots to visit and we were all very impressed with the entire experience. I booked this for my friend as part of her bachelorette party and it was perfect for that! There was also another small group of girls for a birthday and a few couples there, so really it's for anyone. I can confidently recommend the tour with Windy City Tour Company to visit lower Michigan wineries! It's the best way to get picked up in downtown Chicago, be driven from place to place in Michigan, then get driven back home. Don't drink and drive, be responsible and use Windy City Tour Company!

They kept pushing back saying I will have the credit waiting for me for when I book again but I didn't know when that would be and just wanted a refund. I then hear nothing and ask for the status. They informed me then I was now 19 days away and they have to charge me 10% fee for not being within 22 days as that is their policy even though I had booked the trip only 3 days before. Any company this rude and that makes you go through this many hoops just to cancel a reservation is not someone I ever want to do support! They need to improve their customer service and I certainly will NEVER book with them in the future!!!

He made the entire process incredibly easy and stress-free. We chose the Private Architectural Boat Tour, and the Chicago Dine Around team went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. They even arranged for us to tour the boat beforehand so we could confidently select the right experience for our group. For lunch, they seamlessly accommodated all dietary restrictions and preferences, making coordination effortless. Every detail was handled professionally, allowing us to focus on enjoying the event. The feedback from our team was overwhelmingly positive. Many team members said it was one of the best company events we've had to date. Me and my partner scheduled a 90-minute architecture tour for 06/24/2025 at 8:30PM (Total $90 for two tickets). We arrived early and while waiting, we received an email at 7:56PM saying there was an issue with their boat and they had to cancel the tour. We went down to the ticketing office and spoke with the employee. He explained there was an issue with their boat and it was impossible to refund our tickets at his ticketing office. He advised me that we could call the main office number and ask for a refund and then shrugged saying he wasn't sure if they would be able to. The employee stated he could reschedule us to 8:45PM (a firework tour - not what we wanted) or 9:00PM for the architecture tour. I advised him we would be fine with shifting our plans to 9:00PM. He printed me and my partner our tickets and we stepped aside to wait for an hour. We looked at the tickets and noticed that the 9:00PM tour was printed as only 45-minutes long, not the 90-minutes originally purchased. I went back up to the ticketing office and inquired about the discrepancy and asked for a refund on the difference, as the 45-minute tour was only $28 per ticket (Total $56 for two tickets). The employee again said he couldn't refund us for the difference. At this point I was upset because literally, what do you mean you can't refund the difference? After me being persistent (and a different employee also saying no refunds), they finally admitted they actually COULD refund me there, and then issued me a refund / receipt saying my card would be credited for the original amount in 2 - 5 days. I left completely confused by the interaction. How are YOU going to cancel on me, and then say "Oh no refunds" *shrug*. Umm you didn't provide the service I purchased... I would urge you to use literally any other architecture tour group.
