First of all let me say that we (my husband & I) have been going to the Cody clinic since Dr…read more Slight went there from the Coe Medical Center, at least 15 years ago. We stayed there through Dr. Anderson, Dr. White, Dr. Hortan, Cody Nelson, Brannon Ayres and finally Dr. Kilpack, but we just can't tolerate what's going on any more. First of all: The pharmacy we use faxed a request for a new prescription on my Cheratussin AC cough syrup. The prescription was never approved, Dr. Kilpack stated that he didn't ok it because it contained codine and he was afraid of addicion. Dr. White prescriped it because I was coughing so bad at night, I wasn't sleeping. I only took the cough syrup at bedtime, 1-2 oz. Dr. Kilpack said he ordered a cough syrup for me, it turned out to be an over the counter product that was of no help. Second: I went to Dr. Kilpack for a severe pain I was having in my stomach. He said he could get rid of it for me and was it ok for him to try. Before I really knew what was happening, he had me twisted up like a pretzel and said that would get rid of the pain. At the time I wasn't worried about the pain, I was embarrassed how it must have looked to my husband. The pain never went away. Third: I got a call of Dr. Kilpack who said that according to my lab work, I was on the verge of kidney failure. In stead of calling Dr. Ganz, my kidney doctor and conferring with him.,he called me and put me in a panic. Dr. Ganz would have told him to have me drink more water. My Creatine jumps all around. Fourth: I had been on Pota Chloride 10MEQ 2 capsules once a day with breakfast since going to Dr. White at the clinic approx. 7 years. I got a call from Dr. Kilpack telling me to get off the pot. chloride because it could cause me to have a heart attack. Needless to say it cause another panic attack. He's real good at upsetting a patient. I don't know what not taking this medication will do to me in the long run, I know not taking it caused my husband to go into cardiac arrest in 2013. He was in St. V's hospital that year. Fifth: I have been giving myself B12 shots since Dr. Slight was at the clinic. Around 15 or more years. I needed a new prescription for Cyanocobalarmin B12 injections. The pharmacy at Walmart Cody requested a new prescription but Kilpack would renew it. I am now out of B12 vials and Kilpack or Cody Nielson will not renew unless I go in and show them I know how to give myself the shots. I tired of my medication being held hostage because they need more patients. I don't need to see the Dr. that often. We're not make of money and this is differently a waste of our money. Sixth: We did find out that Dr. Kilpack is not a team player. I lost the vision in my left eye, one day I had double vision in it the next day the vision was gone. To make a long story short there were a number of doctors working together to save the vision in the right eye. Dr. Barry Welch, Dr. Charles Welch, Dr. Bell, Dr. Collins, Dr. Danford and Dr. Kilpack. Everyone was working great together until a decision about how to decrease the Predizone. I was told by Dr. Barry Welch that Dr. Danford or Dr. Kilpack would notify me how much to decrease it. Dr. Danford called me and told me how to decrease it. Dr Kilpack also called and when he found out the Danford had decrease the medication. I was aware that Kilpack was upset the Danford called and stated that he was the primary and it was his place to make the decision. I would appreciate the employment office looking into this matter. Dr. Aaron Killpack saw me recently for an ongoing, hard to diagnosis condition. He was willing to…read morelisten, willing to let me decide if I wanted to have a procedure or not, and a great communicator. He was very thorough and professional. He was honest and told me all he knows. He's the best doctor I've ever been too. His staff is top notch as well. Lindsay is an awesome nurse, who's also a great communicator. If you're looking for a new doctor, I highly recommend Dr. Killpack.
