I was in Greybull on a leisure trip and arrived on a Friday. Saturday my back was a disaster, could…read morenot move hardly. Understandably they are closed on the weekend. I called first thing Monday to Dr. Ohman and tried to make an appointment. Receptionist was less than helpful. Said no way, we are booked up everyday this week, no way to squeeze in a new patient anytime this week period. No emergency appointment. I asked for a reference to another chiropractor and was told there were some in other towns 50 60 miles away, Cody, Powell etc. No one she could recommend though. I've been going to chiropractors for over 50 years and I've been many times when out of town. I have never been turned away. It takes 5-10 minutes to do an adjustment, MAXIMUM. I have my x-rays on the cloud so there is no issue. Still, I was turned away. Very disappointing to be sent away in misery from a healthcare giver. I would bet the doctor would not have turned me away. The pit Bull at the desk can really sully a reputation. I'd have at least expected her to go ask the doctor.....

However, we found the most amazing help in the most unlikely places. Dr. Rahim Kahn took us in and (completely opposite of most of our experiences)... he took his time. Asked a lot of questions. He even explained things about our condition and how it affects our bodies that we hadn't known. This is a married couple that run this practice and while I've never been treated by his wife, I have seen the clients always leaving with a smile on their face and gleaming with appreciation. Their staff is as friendly and helpful as they are. You aren't a number. You are a friend. You aren't there to keep you sick and suffering, you are there to get adjusted and educated with the goal of being healed and learning how to prevent the things that brought you in. It's refreshing all the way around. If you need a knowledgeable, kind, and trusted family chiropractor- you need to call Family Chiropractic Clinic. Thank you so much for being exactly what we needed at a time nobody else would! One last thing worth a mention... Rahim not only helped my sons and I with our complicated, painful, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome; he saved my life after a Highway head-on accident. Life was already so hard to navigate and honestly, EDS scares off most chiropractors around here. But just before my long awaited appointment, I had been in a Highway head-on accident where an elderly woman drove into me. Despite the emergency responders reporting zero breath sounds and calling out life flight (who were already on another call and headed back so asked to have me taken to the ER and they would meet me in CT), that ER doctor treated me like crap and ultimately sent away the life flight team advising all I had was whiplash. My first appointment with Dr. Kahn was already scheduled for a couple days after the accident. I called his office to let them know about the accident and told him I could reschedule if he was more comfortable with that. He replied something along the lines of, "no way! Sounds like you could use the help more now than I ever!" Am I ever glad I did. Dr. Khan identified my broken sternum and noted possible multiple rib fractures and concerns of spinal fractures. He taught me to avoid certain positions that would allow the broken sternum to slip out of place and puncture my heart or lungs. Many of these being positions I routinely used until the accident (hurt to bad to). When I called my doctor to help me get these issues addressed, we faced blow-back from the doctors needed stating that I was fine, the ER reports said so. Dr Kahn helped me to get a radiologist that wasn't associated with that hospital to diagnose the breaks as well as review the ER images... where he noted all were present on those scans. So, not only did Dr. Kahn treat a complicated patient- he helped me to get the healthcare I needed and had been refused prior to his advocation. All of this, at the very least, saving me from many painful hardships and even saving my life by advising positions to avoid. I couldn't drive and was advised it was likely best to avoid vehicles all together for awhile. I had to sleep in certain positions ironically avoid displacing the break. Without him, I would have suffered being told I was fine while my sternum, ribs, spine were destroyed. I owe this chiropractor my life and quality of. Thank you Rahim!! You are a God send!
