    1 Star - Reception Manager Shelley's Lies & Dr. Etehad's Cover-Up Harm Patients…read more Dr. Etehad is an excellent doctor, and his staff (except one) are stellar! But the reception manager Shelley's actions are unacceptable. After switching providers in Bakersfield, my new doctor faxed a records request five weeks ago--I saw the fax confirmation. Shelley ignored it, lied in an email to me claiming she never got it, and even after I emailed her last week demanding she notify my doctor by the next day, she didn't call (I even gave her the information). My new doctor confirmed yesterday they've received anything. When I left a message and confronted Shelley, I demanded to speak to Dr. Etehad. He claimed he didn't get the request, clearly protecting her despite the fax proof AND EMAIL with my new doctors information excusing her delay that's stalling my care. My new doctor's office is confused why only Shelley handles records releases. Shelley's done this before. For my annual mammogram with prescribed ultrasound, she told radiology only one breast was approved, forcing me to choose--shocking their manager. When I needed my file for housing paperwork, she refused, then made me wait 15 minutes while she dawdled. For over a decade, I've endured Shelley's rude, condescending attitude toward me and others. Dr. Etehad seems aware but won't fire her. Shelley's lies and HIPAA violations risk patient health. I'm reporting to the California Medical Board. Avoid this practice until she's gone!

    I have found a new primary care physician. As a person in good health, I appreciate being seen…read morepromptly - the last three appointments here started more than an hour late. I've had afternoon appointments, and my last was the second available in the morning. During my last visit, Dr. Buttelman was the person sending my refill prescription to the pharmacy. This prescription was unfortunately never received by the pharmacy. When I called his office to have the prescription re-submitted, I learned that it had been set at double my normal dosage. I wondered why, and requested 1) a call back from Dr. Buttelman; and 2) a refill of my normal dosage, because that is what I expected. On Monday, the office said my prescription would be fixed soon. This didn't happen until Friday. During my calls to the office, I requested the doctor call me back to discuss my prescription. It's been two weeks, and I've called four times. There has been no call back. I desire a better experience. Two stars for a kind demeanor in the patient room, and that's it :(
