I'm 53 yrs old and have a 17 yr old daughter. I've always been an active person, walking the dogs,…read moregoing to the gym, and a plumber. In 2024 I started feeling really fatigue had shortness of breath. So I started seeing specialist from pulmonologist hematologist, my primary who referred me to.Dr. Leo. After a year and a half of echo tests, stress echoes, ultrasound, X-rays, blood samples,, etc.. my fatigue and shortness of breath, progressed to the point where I felt I couldn't even take the trash out on my home, I'll bring groceries in from the store. . During the 2 years I was not the best patient. I was confused, frustrated, and scaredto leave my daughter. I wanted urgency Immediately. if I didn't get it then I made sure I made it hard on everybody at his office Until I did get it.(btw everyone in his office are great and I apologized to all of them) Dr. Leo handled it professionally as he always does, brutally honest lol and that's what I liked from day one. it was a scary two years for me but Dr Leo and his staff were always there, especially Gigi. Eventually Dr. Leo did an angiogram on me and we found out my heart rate was at 15%.. Dr. Leo immediately that day requested for a life vest rep go to my room at the hospital to fit me for a life vest defibrillator then I would have to wear 24 hours a day until an ICD would be implanted. Now it's May 2, 2026 it's been two days since the implant and I feel very lucky to be alive thanks Dr. Leo you're a Rockstar!!!

And it was the PA who saw me. Asked the usual questions then she mentioned about requesting for more tests to be done. To find out the cause of my chest pain. A MA came and did my EKG - it was good as well as my vitals. So the PA said she will order or request those tests and to expect a call from them in a week. * They are open 5 days a week and when I was booking this appointment - the lady I talked to said they are only open on Thursdays. What she didn't explain is that - Thursdays are for new patients.

It has been well over ten years since I've started seeing Dr. Ben-Zur for heart related care. I can…read moresay without any hesitation he is the most capable, compassionate, caring doctor I have ever been to. Not only that, his staff is equally amazing. It all started 15 years ago when my brother died of sudden cardiac death. Additionally, I have an acute family history of heart related disease and an extremely high coronary CT calcium score. This set me off on a quest to find a cardiologist. I went through a handful of cardiologists before finding Dr Ben-Zur. Since I'm completely asymptomatic, most of them just handed me a bottle of statins, padded me on the back and told me to come back in 6 to 12 months. Not Dr. Ben-Zur! He knew I was a "ticking time bomb" if I didn't change my lifestyle immediately. And that's when my education with the doctor began. Not only does he carefully and thoroughly treat me medically, but he was persistent with educating me on how I must change my lifestyle. No matter how long it took he never gave up on me. With these lifestyle changes in place and under his care I often feel I have possibly avoided some type of cardiac related event. The way Dr. Ben-Zur runs his office is unlike anything I've seen. He is fantastically thorough and detailed in the way he treats his patients, ensuring no detail, no matter how small is not missed. The minute you arrive at his office his staff takes you in immediately. You never wait to be seen. There was an incident once where I was concerned about how I was feeling. I went to his office without an appointment where he took me in right then and there. If one is looking for a cardiologist I find it hard to believe you could get better care from anyone or anywhere else other than Dr. Ben-Zur and his wonderful staff.

Visiting Doctor Ben-Zur in Tarzana was an incredibly positive experience. I am a 68 years old…read moreTriathlete with concern for my health. During today's visit, the team / staff were very attentive to my situations, explained the tests that were given in the office and showed support. I loved all the framed information on each wall, wishing I had more time to see it all. Doctor Ben-Zur must have come into the room at least 4 times. Each time he checked on his team and explained to me what the next step is and why. At the end of my visit the Doctor took his time to go over all the tests, forward RX to my pharmacy, order more tests and set up a visit with him the following day (usually it takes me weeks before I can see my other doctors for follow up). Thank you Doctor Ben-Zur and the TEAM. Isaac Goren

I rarely write reviews, but this experience deserves attention. I had a colonoscopy at this…read moresurgical center and, although the procedure itself went smoothly and the anesthesiologist was attentive, nearly everything else about the facility and staff was disorganized, inattentive, and at times downright unprofessional. To begin, my appointment was scheduled for 12:30 PM, yet I wasn't called in until 1:30 PM. The nurse casually explained that "the doctor's paperwork states patients may have to wait longer because he's always very busy." That's an unacceptable attitude toward patients who are fasting, dehydrated, and exhausted after an all-night prep. The front desk staff were equally dismissive, giving short, condescending responses when multiple patients asked about the delay. No one offered an apology or update. Once I was finally called in, I was told to place my belongings in a locker--but there were no keys, so all lockers were wide open. I was advised to take my purse with me and put it under my bed. The gowns were of the cheapest, scratchy material, and no slippers or socks were provided. What felt especially ironic was that, while I was explaining to the anesthesiologist that I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (a connective tissue disorder requiring, among other things, extreme care with IV placement), the nurse attempting to insert my IV seemed completely unaware of how to handle this properly. She repeatedly smacked the back of my hand to "bring up the vein," which was extremely painful and contraindicated for someone with fragile veins. Despite my saying "ouch" multiple times, she did not stop or reposition the IV. The lack of professionalism continued after the procedure. No one offered water, or provided a call button for assistance. I lay in my recovery bed for about 20 minutes before the doctor appeared briefly to summarize results that were already written on my discharge paper. Finally, though the center required an emergency contact and driver for pickup, no one called my contact to let him know I was done. He only found out because I texted him myself while getting dressed. When he arrived, there was not a single staff member around to check me out or acknowledge my departure. To make matters worse, several hours after the procedure, my hand is still swollen, red, and painful from the IV site--clear evidence of how poorly it was handled. The only positive aspect of the entire experience was the anesthesiologist, who took my EDS seriously and provided good care during the procedure itself. Otherwise, this center demonstrated poor patient communication, lack of basic amenities, and an alarming disregard for safety and respect. I strongly recommend that others consider alternative facilities where patient well-being and professionalism are treated as priorities.
