When i arrived the bait and switch happened. I was to be charged $200 'just the first time' because i was a new patient and they refused to run the check up through my health coverage because they 'couldn't trust' that blue cross would pay them or that my insurance was real I have worked at doctors offices and my entire family are physicians, the office can call the insurance company in five minutes to discover that i am a member (despite giving them my insurance card) and also find out whether my annual physical was covered (it is). If you do not want to bill insurance companies, do not accept insurance, it's that simple. He is still considered an in-network doctor on my insurance plan and i plan on calling them to report him for fraud. The trick here is, the doctor gets $$ from you and then they bill the insurance as well, getting paid twice for the same visit. Scammer doc stay far away

One time when I had a cold, I called in expecting to make an appointment for the next few days and I was able to be seen THE NEXT HOUR! Couldn't believe it! I never have to wait in the waiting room for longer than 5 minutes and Dr. Herman listens to all of my symptoms and really cares about how I'm feeling. My original appointment was for migraines and ever since my first visit, not one headache! I would highly recommend Dr. Herman!

It looks like nothing has changed in 30 years in that building. filled out 14 page intake that had nothing to with a future colonoscopy. most of the paperwork was regarding psychiatrist release and questions on any mental issues. I met Dr. NORTHUP that gave me a cd on how to live to be 100 and how to get his book. He told me how he can treat people for addictions and that he has women only recovery meetings in his office. He did ask why I was there for my visit, he gave information on colonoscopy that lasted one minute. He told me all about his wife and how great he is. I went to front desk to get my appointment for colonoscopy and prep sent to pharmacy. His staff was not able to do that as the person that handles that was not at her desk. They had no idea what the co-pay might be and said they would call the next day to set up procedure and send prep. Three weeks later someone called to see if I would like a follow up appointment. I asked what for? she could not answer that question. they were nice enough to send a bill for the co-pay and billed my insurance company. I happily went somewhere else and count myself lucky not to go any further with this charade.

Do NOT GO THERE if you need do your annual checkup/wellness program. If you need a specialist and…read moredo not mind about the filthiness of his office and labs (I saw dead roach on the floor) he might be OK. I found Dr. John Northup listed as a primary care provider on Cigna's website and contacted his office to schedule an annual wellness consultation for both myself and my wife. I reiterated this request at the front desk and to the doctor when he asked about the reason for our visit. Following the consultation, we were informed that we needed to do exams and schedule a second consultation to review the results. However, when we received the bill, we were surprised to find that the consultation cost $100, twice the amount we had anticipated for the wellness plan ($50 per person). We were also charged separately for the exams. When we called the billing department to discuss the issue, we were informed that Dr. John Northup did not offer wellness consultations and the exams were not covered by the wellness program. We were also informed that we would be charged an additional $100 for the second consultation. Apparently this is a common complain they get. I was charge over 300 dollars for a wellness consultation that should cost 50. Feeling misled and frustrated, we decided to cancel the second consultation and request a copy of the exams to take to another doctor. However, we were further surprised to learn that there would be an administrative fee for printing the exams, as well as a per-page fee. Overall, this experience left us with a negative impression of Dr. Northup's office and how I was misled by him and his staff to do exams that were not covered by the plan with previous clarification.
