Neva was my doctor for 15 years before we moved out of town. This is my experience…read more PROS She spends as much time with me as needed, sometimes half an hour. She remembers some of the details of my "case," from one visit to the next. She initially saw me every three months, but offered that I only needed a diabetes follow-up every four months. So much for money-grubbing. When she discovered that I have diabetes, she called me three times in one day - I was out of town - and insisted that I come in, with my husband, as soon as I returned. In fact, on her last VM when I wasn't home, she left the information about an appointment she'd set up for me, without my even being home. She has volunteered her time with Mother Theresa in Calcutta. I do not share any part of her strong Catholic faith, but I've always had caring, personal attention from her. CONS She seems to be eager to prescribe pills and drugs, no matter what my issue is. She often gave me samples to save me money, but sometimes, it seemed that she was changing meds on me gratuitously. I read that her attitude toward some women was occasionally harsh - she refused to prescribe artificial birth control, or pain pills for C-section patients, rooted in her religious beliefs, but I never experienced that. I know women who won't go to her, in solidarity with other women. One memorable time, I waited in my exam room for an hour before sticking my head out into the corridor and finding it empty and dark. Everyone had left and forgotten about me. I went home and called in a message to tell them that the office was unlocked. I got calls at home that night from Neva and her husband, deeply apologetic. They're too busy for their own good. All in all, I like her. I think she's a good, if traditional, doctor. Were we still living in that community, she'd still be my doctor.

Neva and Byron retired and the practice was transferred to "Pulse" healthcare. This place is being…read morerun by the most incompetent people I have ever met. It is one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a Drs office. Giving 1 star because I can't leave ZERO.

Warning: Dr Heather Lucas-Ross is a Not a good Family doctor…read more She charged my husband and I over $500 for each of our 1st visits. She spent 15 min and a bandage on my husband's fingers, which she had me apply. My 1st visit was under 15 min and she was rude to me. Her bill was over $500. THEN when I Really Needed to See Her, Due to an Accident to my wrist, she REFUSED me. Even though We were told on our 1st visit: They Always had Same-day Appts for patients with an emergency. That forced me to go to the ER which costs me over $1500 dollars. (ER diagnosis: sprained/strained tendons, muscles/ hematoma/ temporary nerve damage to wrist and hand) Dr Ross is all about the dollar. On both 1st visits, she was rude and condescending, so no, she wasn't just having a bad day. She charges over $500 for 15min or less and refuses to see you when you really need her.

I want to figure out what is wrong with me still. After two canceled and changed appointments, I…read morewas finally able to get in to see her. Once I was able to, I had some questions I needed answers to. All I was told, after her touching the lumps on my neck, was to take allergy medicine and drink more water. I still don't know what the answer is, but after those few minutes of assessment, all I got was a psychological assessment of my life and relationship dynamics of me and my husband for the other 20 minutes out of the 30 (maybe) I was there. I still want to know what is wrong with me physically. I feel that I received more of a psychological assessment then a physical one. Upon return for other issues explained above and for a refresher of an assessment on my breast lump and if it has changed, no further examination was conducted, just a reminder to go get an ultrasound. I still have the lumps in my neck after taking allergy medicine everyday. I had already been taking allergy medication in times I felt necessary prior to her "assessment" of my health.

I had to go to the PCP to request a STD Extended Screening Panel screening and then went to the lab next door. I had done my research online and saw it should cost just under $500 for the extended panel plus HSV 1 & 2. Once I got the bill i was a bit shocked and called the clinic. They offered to change the charge codes but that did absolutely nothing. The next visit my PCP made a comment on the lab charges and said that next time I should go to one of the free clinics in the area. This is what really grinds my gears. Why did he not suggest this to begin with?! I'm really disappointed in the lack of concern for their patience and makes me feel they get a kick back from the lab. obviously this is speculation but I am just disappointed in this practice and will be looking to find a new PCP. I don't have the means to be dealing with lab bills that are abusively overcharging patients.

My husband and I are just DONE with this practice!…read more Over the last year, we've fought to get referrals and testing we needed. Jed Coleman pushed back repeatedly on our request for testosterone and neurotransmitter testing, a referral to an endocrinologist and they are either unwilling or completely incompetent when it comes to the needs of gay men and their health issues, even simple STI testing and treatment. Most recently, they were unable to get the necessary medication and told us to just go into a clinic, so what's the point if you primary care physician is more of an obstacle than a resource. We could not be more disgusted with how we've been treated by this practice. Do better!
