I discovered Dr Solotoff in late 2015, searching multiple sites for a local dermatologist, within a…read morereasonable distance of my home, and in my healthcare plan as I am new to Philadelphia in 2015. I returned again for my second visit in January 2017. The purpose of my visit is a standard full body exam of the skin, and not for a specific reason or issue. On both visits, I was ushered in within minutes of my scheduled appointment, and only waited a few minutes in the exam room. The exams were thorough, and Dr. Solotoff explains as he goes through the exam, alerting you to things you should know so you can do your own self exams between visits. He has excellent bedside manner, is polite, friendly and keeps you at ease. His staff is equally friendly and professional. This is truly an A+ experience in every aspect! First Time Tips: The office is inside a primarily residential building, so ask in advance about parking and access, as the lot / entrance can be confusing. They do not take credit or debit cards as payment. So if you have a healthcare plan with a some type of debit card, you'll need to request payment to the provider (or make it yourself and request reimbursement).

Finest doctor I've ever known…read more I have been seeing this doctor for about 25 years and referred many friends to him. We all agree he is the standard by which all of us believe physicians should be measured. Not only is he expert in his knowledge and his clinical applications, he is inevitably polite, compassionate and employs cutting edged standards. He brings a dignity to the practice of medicine that is extremely rare. I trust and endorse him completely.

Amanda S. I'm so glad I saw your review, as my experience with them has soured for much the same…read morereason. They finally hooked me to buy their platinum package, for which different aestheticians there verbally gave me differing but overall similar descriptions. Bottom line was "you can get anything" except for a few things at a reduced price. I signed up in early January. As an appreciation for my commitment, and roughly 4 years of getting the mid-tier package previously, for my botox session that day, I was told I can get threads too, and in two areas of the face! So I go over to their facial injection area down the hall, and clearly the manager that signed me up didn't tell Dr. Wilkes what she told me. I had to tell him that she said I could get threads that day as well. He "Oh Ok" as if he was a little surprised. After the botox he gave me two threads one on each side of the forehead, but I could tell he had no intention of giving threads in another area, because he had no knowledge of what I was told. Of course I felt timid asking for more because he would think I'm making stuff up. So I left already feeling liken that was a "game", where they verbally tell you something but the person actually doing the work doesn't know, or they do, but act like they don't. Then fast forward 5 weeks for my February session in which I wanted some filler, I demanded botox again because the botox from January looked as if it had done nothing! The manager and the new aesthetician were there and saw me move my face and agreed that Dr. Wilkes must have underdosed me. So I got some filler (but needed much more than 1 syringe), but they "graciously" gave me botox again because they couldn't deny the first session did nothing. Then 5 weeks later I took pictures of my face, and there was only the slightest effect, but not nearly what I am used to seeing. Two botox sessions separated by 5 weeks, and in 10 weeks from the first, I barely looked like I got botox. This isn't the first time I suspected they aren't truthful about actually injecting botox, or at least not about the amount they give. My husband stopped going there because he felt he always got a different story from different workers there that kept changing every time, and suspected on some occasions they weren't giving the amount they said they did. I went for microneedling Rf in March, which I have had numerous times there and at other practices, with the same instructions about time in between two sessions. First off, they didn't do my neck, which they did include the previous years in the mid-tier package that has unlimited botox plus 3 microneedling sessions. They now say it is a $300 addition. So the mid-tear package I got the neck done, and in the more expensive one I don't?!?!? They say the packages have changed. Wouldn't it be nice for them to have told me this in some official quote that itemizes what is and isn't included before I laid out $7K? Then during the session, I barely felt anything with each zap. The last time I had to brace myself each zap because it hurt so much, and afterward my face was red, as I experienced before. This time nada, and she did about half the number of spots on my face that I used to getting. In and out in 10 minutes after numbing. After numbing, previous sessions have been 30 minutes or more! So after getting these ineffective botox sessions and a seemingly mild, unthorough microneedling RF session, I call to make another microneedling session in April, because I wanted to get filler/threads before the summer in the following sessions. They asked when the last one was, and it was March 23rd. The manager said you can't get another until May because you need 8 weeks in between. I lost it. At every practice, including Bala, it has always been 5-6 weeks. All of the sudden it is 8! My personal calendar from previous years can prove it, and some were only separated by 4 weeks. So then I ask what if I get filler and threads in April then in May do the next microneedling. Before, I was told 2-3 weeks after those treatments is required before microneedling, now it was more then 4 or so (I can't remember the exact time b/c I was already livid). Then as things dawned on me, almost rhetorically I asked if I get just filler, can I only get it in one area of the face per session, she said yes. I have been conned. So ... in the end I feel fleeced. They hooked me, then I have seen no results I am used to from what I received thus far. Then insult to injury, these new rules keep popping up or changing, to the point if I want a certain effect by July, I will never get it. With all of these restrictions that were not made clear when I purchased, it will be well past the summer for that effect. My husband was right, I was crazy to sign up with them again, and this time the platinum package no less! His, and my suspicions, were right.
