The trail serves as the Northern trailhead for the river trail system and is absolutely gorgeous. The walk is mostly shaded by trees and features great scenery of the water. We spotted a variety of creatures which made the walk a bit more fun. The entire trail is paved and is wheelchair accessible making it a great option for anyone who wants to check it out. Despite the gorgeous scenery this trail offers it has limited visibility due to the curves and foliage that is present. At some points during it you may not be able to see who is around the corner or behind you on the trail, if that is important to you, you may want to check out the trail with a trail buddy rather than going alone. Overall, this is a lovely spot if you're looking for a paved trail that offers some scenic views. This park also offers fishing spots and you can bike, run or walk the trail making it a great option for a variety of activities.

The trails are a bit secluded so you may want a trail buddy if you plan to walk past the marsh bridge if visibility is important to you. Instead we sort of kicked some mulch around and burned our bottoms swinging on the swings for a few minutes before leaving. Since we were in a roadtrip and just passing through we couldn't be too choosey. I will say that the paved walking path along the perimeter was decent and the dog was a fan. There were a few picnic tables under some big shade trees and the temp felt 10 degrees cooler.
