The escalators will drop you down the main lobby, Advent health is big on customer service surveys and it reflects how they treat pts / visitors here. Because I am currently uninsured and the injury requires prompt medical attention, I completed the office's financial assistance form on Saturday. On Wednesday, I received a call informing me that my financial assistance application was still pending. I explained that I was uninsured and was told, "That's not my problem. The visit starts at $157, not including any additional treatment." I understand that staff members may not be responsible for financial assistance decisions, and I recognize that medical services have associated costs. However, the way this information was communicated was extremely disappointing. Compassion and professionalism are especially important when speaking with patients who are already dealing with an injury and financial concerns. I have worked in the medical field for 26 years, and unfortunately, this interaction did not reflect the level of customer service and empathy I would expect from a healthcare facility. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this practice to others. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and provides additional training on patient communication and empathy.
