Not only did he address both my issues, he was kind and very easy to talk to. At that moment I knew he would be my new doctor. Dr. Knesek replaced my hip using the anterior method which has a much shorter recovery time than the traditional surgery. He explained it in terms that were easy to understand and walked me through the whole process. Later on the day of surgery, he stopped in to see me before he left for the day. What surgeon does that? Dr Mackey was very kind, knowledgeable, personable and caring, took a lot of time with me and I actually now have a different prognosis and treatment plan from him. The other surgeon wanted to perform surgery which it turns out is not only not necessary but was wrong. He never shared my x-ray with me or answered any of my questions or concerns. He said I had arthritis which it turns out was incorrect, I do not have arthritis or need surgery, just some inflammation which can be treated without invasive intervention. I would highly recommend Dr Mackey to anyone without any reservation. He is a wonderful doctor and his entire staff treated me with respect & caring.
