He's applied the novocain perfectly with every procedure he's done for me and I've never had to take anything stronger than advil a few hours after I leave. I explained my anxiety at my 1st visit and Dr. Levine went over the sedation route which is what we decided would work best for me. No, I'm not being put out with every procedure. He prescribed me a prescription for valium which I take 1 hr before my appointment. I've actually dropped my dosage because of how good Dr. Levine is at his job. I also opted to have the nitrous to help comfort me... Let me just say this, I almost fell asleep during my root canal. I'm serious. I really believe it won't be long where I'll only need the novocain if I need anything done other than a routine cleaning which I'm excited to say will be done at this office from here on out unless I move from Maryland. The entire office is extremely personable, I've held many a conversations with Dr. Levine, Ilona, Vicky, and Peggy. They really do care what's going on with their patients and truly make it feel like you're hanging out with friends! We were with Dr. Sibel Johnson for at least 3 years for regular cleanings which I happily give 5 stars. Then in late May, Dr. Sibel insisted I get a filling replaced because of a tiny crack. Weeks later the tooth was still very sensitive and I was not able to chew on that side at all. Went in to get it looked at. She checked and started to use a drill-like tool to smooth it down because the filling could have been too "high". (Even though the blue stain test showed it was not.) I immediately told her to stop because it was very painful. She wouldn't listen and went back in for another round. Dr. Sibel had no sympathy even after I told her it was PAINFUL. Days later my tooth and jaw started to throb like hell. Finally ended up with a root canal. Very upsetting and suspicious since I've never had an issue with this tooth for at least 15 years since I've had a filling. I don't have a history of dental issues. This was my first root canal ever. Plus they did not review (as usual) any insurance concerns or copays for the two visits after the messed up filling. They notified me of a balance for those two visits after I said we would not be returning and to cancel all future appointments previously made. She also insisted my son needed surgery to fix his jaw. But after my incident, I have indeed found a new dentist because I do no longer have faith in Dr. Sibel Johnson's judgement as a dentist and because of her lack of sympathy as a person. Beware and get a second opinion especially when she insists on any dental work. Will save yourself a lot of money and pain!

A few helpful details: the office has three chairs, accepts insurance, and is in-network for Montgomery County Public Schools employees (CIGNA plan users, this is a win!). Don't be fooled by the exterior of the building--when you walk up, it may not have the "fancy" look, but the service inside is absolutely top-notch.
