I was nervous but things turned out fine. I have to travel but I'm ok making the trip. I've noticed that other people scheduled on same day as me aren't kept waiting too long and they really like the 2 periodontists they visit. people coming out from appointments are smiling. I find all that comforting. In summary, I've had a positive, effective experience.

Please read before you do business with this provider. This review is based on Periodontics &…read moreImplant Dentistry of Middle Tennessee business practices and reflects the experience I had with them as I was in good faith attempting to resolve an open account balance for over 2 years. The patient was my Wife. I cannot review treatment, as full treatment was not completed due to questionable and inefficient business practices detailed below and we ended up finishing the treatment at a much more reputable Periodontist in Nashville. Prior to the first treatment and after reviewing the predetermination of benefits from the insurance company, I contacted the office and together we determined and agreed on what out of pocket costs would be for the treatment plan. I then immediately paid in full the out of pocket costs agreed upon. After the first phase of treatment in late 2019, the issues with the business office started. Claims were filed incomplete and / or with erroneous information. I would then conduct my own research and attempt to cobble together diverging stories between errors in the filing that insurance was telling me vs. what the business office was advising. During 2020-2022, I sent 11 separate emails to the office advising the issues I had learned through discussions with my insurance, requesting they resubmit the claim with very specific instructions. Most were sent in 2020 and went unanswered; the few that did respond still did not result in the correct action. After multiple communication attempts, I sent one last email in late 2020 to advise the office that I would not be spending any more time dealing with them due to their lack of response and action. I heard nothing back until nearly 2 years later and this time with a letter threatening to turnover my account to their Attorney due to unpaid fees. In talking to new person at the office in charge of settling aging account receivables, I learned the person I had been emailing had left the office in 2020 and apparently no arrangements were made to forward her emails or even monitor them. I then spent yet more time educating the new person about the history of the situation and forwarded her all the documentation proving my intent to resolve the situation amicably and efficiently. Sadly, she had no interest in hearing, investigating or responding to my particular situation. Also, forget about trying to call and get them to pick-up as routinely I would call and get voice mail in the middle of business hours. In the end, this was not an issue of money, but rather a matter of business principles and ethics. I had a clear financial agreement before any treatment was made and the business failed to see any wrongdoing on their part, despite everything in this review. Even worse, this business takes on the persona of a debt collector even when there is clear and compelling evidence to the contrary. For these reasons and for the many other similar reviews, please entrust your care and spend your hard earned dollars at a different provider who excels in both patient care and patient advocacy.

DO NOT go to Lewis Dental. If I could, I'd give Dr. Lewis no stars. Not even a half. There are two…read moremain reasons. 1. Last year, my son was told he had 11 cavities. 11. He was also told if he didn't act quickly, things could deteriorate and he'd be in a horrible place. We took him to another dental practice for a second opinion and he was told he had none. One was sketchy. But none. 2. I had a crown put in. The lady who drilled into the tooth obviously drilled into the wrong tooth first. She admitted I was her first patient out of school. It wasn't until the numbness wore off way later that night that I realized the issue. I've still got to get that fixed but I honestly don't trust Lewis Dental to do it right. They've got a surprisingly high rating on here. I'm not sure how. Surely we aren't the only family they've screwed over.
