Their billing policies are absurd and make me feel completely disregarded, especially considering the technological challenges of navigating their new portal. People come here for help and are instead forced to deal with a complicated, confusing interface, and then callously told that they have to pay a lot of money if they don't get the technology right. Months ago I was held liable for a session when I had to reschedule inside the 24 hours required, yet I didn't get any kind of compensation when my new therapist canceled on me TWICE in two weeks AT THE LAST MINUTE. Now I am being charged $165 for barely missing my video meeting with my prescriber, when it was the first time I had used their cumbersome and confusing new system, which told me that my browser was not supported, and sent me scrambling at the last minute to figure out the tech as I was trying to log in. I even called the front desk to tell them that I was having trouble, and I kept getting voice mail. I requested that the charge be waived and I was sent an apologetic and "understanding" message from Billing, acknowledging the difficulty dealing with the new portal, but refusing to waive the fee. That is fucked up. I will not be paying that $165 and I will not be seeking services from RCC anymore. Their platform sucks and so do their policies. Find another therapist or therapy practice.....this place SUCKS.

I've gotten the runaround a number of times trying to update my insurance, trying to figure out if an actual provider is in network, trying to get the provider added to the thriveworks account for my insurance company. it's a simple fix but they just give you the runaround. And then when you ask to speak to a supervisor you either get someone who's really helpful but gives you the wrong information, or somebody who is nasty and also gives you the wrong information. If I didn't like the providers I was seeing, I would walk away from thrive works in a heartbeat. However the two providers do not work with any other company but thriveworks. The intake process was fine and it was very thorough and they found me great providers, but it's like after that they just dropped the ball, and never want to pick it back up and run with it. I've been on the phone today alone at least 3 hours trying to sort through this issue. I think I finally found a way through, but I'll find out in the next couple of days whether or not it worked and if when I get a chance to talk to the credentialing department. Sweet Jesus in heaven! What a headache. And honestly for being a mental health company, you think that they would take people's mental Health and well-being into account, when they're trying to provide "back-of-the-house" admin services. That is not the case here.

Further counseling is likely not done by medically qualified individuals - board certified physicians, psychiatrist etc. So in short be prepared for serious out of pocket expenses as you will likely be paying 100%. The question regarding Self Pay is very likely to weed out those expecting insurance assistance. I am sure they are professional and polite.  Just hope your needs for counseling is brief or income/savings sufficient.

Additionally, the tools we learned have also applied to our children. Specifically, we are teaching them to solve their own problems WITH each other in a way that is constructive. I will not tell you the process is easy--in fact, I think it gets worse before it gets better because you will not only tackle what's in front of you but past hurts and mistakes. In other words, you might draw up painful moments that makes the sessions and homework tough... on the positive side, once it is behind you and forgiven, it's behind you. I've been coming here off an on for years and every time I leave it's been because the overall experience completely goes south. This place and the people that work here to include Ally, Casey and the majority of the clinical/counseling staff really aren't for us addicts, they aren't for recovery & they deff aren't for trying to help others. They all are very rude, the counselors will lie on you to better fit their needs. They will discharge you without any notice and for reasons that are unprecedented. I have been sick waiting on COVID results and missed three days- their policy states after 7 DAYS YOU CAN BE DISCHARGED. I show up on the morning of the 4th day- after finally being cleared by my primary care for negative COVID results and they tell me they're discharging me. Ally (the brunette one, the blonde Ali has always been very nice and helpful) was very rude and unprofessional when I called voicing my concerns and she too lied straight to my face about my discharge. The only staff here worth anything is Shontae & the young white, brown hair nurse- who both dose clients the majority of the week. The nursing staff (the ones who dose you) are all for the most part the only thing this clinic has going for them bc honestly everyone else inside this building is only there for a check. You can't claim you want to help others and want others to succeed and help them in their recovery just to discharge them bc they were awaiting COVID results, completely lie to your face (by multiple people within their organization) over why I was being discharged and then finally when I backed Ally into the corner and basically made it known that I am very familiar with their policies and what is in their handbook, then instead of getting real and being an adult, then she wants to go around throwing one hell of a piss poor attitude. They don't care if you are running late bc of an accident. I arrived 11-12 minutes late and I had to beg to see if my NP would still see me bc my appt was 9:30-10 so there was time from 9:42- 10 but the office staff wasted about 4 minutes talking to each other and my NP before finally agreeing to see me. I'm NEVER late I moved 40 minutes away and wanted to continue with my NP but after the treatment I received today from the office staff and NP I will be going to see someone else. If they are running late I guess that's ok. There should be an exception. I was willing to sit there and let the next patient take my appt and I would wait. Once I was in there it was clear there was no compassion or care or interest in talking to me. Very disappointed and hurt. Sat in my car after appt and cried bc I couldn't believe a MENTAL HEALTH practioner whom I truly loved and felt so comfortable with really didn't care about my care but more about "policy" Very disappointed especially being I left so upset and there.was no follow-up call or anything.

I started seeing Rebecca Smith as my psychiatrist and she worked with me a lot to get meds right. She has been very patient and informative about all my options. I then had less psych appointments and started seeing Elise for therapy and that has been great as well. Highly recommend this place!
