Eagle Stop bought out the former Zippy Mart and has since become a really nice addition to the town…read moreof Ash Grove. They also have a Hunt Brothers pizza in the deli portion of the station. Most of the time the pizza is good but other times the orders are incorrect and when mentioned to the employees there was no attempt to remedy the situation. Pretty much an "oh well" response. For a gas station pizza I imagine this is customary.

This is a testament to the great service provided. I didn't try the food but there was a wide selection of chips, grab snacks and some refrigerated options to choose from.

Turning off we were faced with a weird winding road to a gravel lot across which we had to drive to get to the store. Maybe there was a better paved road to get there, but I didn't see it. I thought it was maybe for semi parking but it wasn't a truck stop to that doesn't make sense either. I stopped at pump one, which had a note saying the card reader was down, so I went inside to pay and was advised to try pump four, as pump one was running slowly and the last guy to pump gas there spent about half an hour to pump ten dollars of gas. I moved my car to pump four which wasn't any better, because it still took twenty minutes to pump forty dollars worth of gas. Good thing I wasn't in a hurry. If you want to just stop and use the restrooms, which were surprisingly clean, don't bother unless you plan on buying something as per the hand written notes on the door, over the cash register, down the hall leading to the bathrooms, on the bathroom doors, and inside the bathroom all advised they are for customers only. Leaving, I counted myself lucky as we headed back down the unlit road back to the highway that we had gotten out of there alive. If there was ever a gas station to remind you of every horror movie you have ever seen where the unsuspecting travelers have taken the wrong turn ending in their eventual demise this was certainly it.
