A few days ago, I noticed that my back left tire was flat, so I brought the tire in to determine what could have caused it to go flat. There was no evidence of a leak, but when pressure was placed on the sidewall of the tire, air leaked out between the rim and the tire itself. My understanding is that an issue like this is caused by improper installation, causing the seal between the rim and the tire to slowly lose it's integrity and allow air to leak out. I asked for the cost of a replacement tire to be covered by the establishment, being that I just purchased this tire less than a year ago, and improper installation has resulted in the need to purchase yet another new tire. They would have secured my repeat business if they had handled this properly, as I fully understand that mistakes happen. As long as accountability is taken for those mistakes, that is the mark of a great business. Unfortunately, I was met with an incredibly rude manager who was not willing to collaborate on coming up with a solution to this problem. I was not nimble enough to get up under the dashboard. Mechanic is busy with a customer, but I asked how he could help me. I had my users manual open to the correct page, and told him I needed a fuse replaced. He asked me to give him 5 minutes. He politely asked the customer with whom he was working, if they would mind him taking 5 minutes out. He looked at the diagram and replaced the fuse. "You're all set", he told me.
