I had run by one of the owners nephews and apologize and he said not to worry so I am not sure why the employee would be angry with me. He was literally red in the face. I don't ever even remember feeling that way in any store and I am from Los Angeles. So that says a lot. I apologized. It was last minute bc my son got sick all of a sudden but I won't be coming back for months until their next staff turnover hopefully. Hopefully, that person finds a job that he is more happy in.

This used to be an IGA market but in recent years has switched to the Sheridan Select Market. It has most of your every day needs and on this day it was vanilla, sweetened condensed milk, flour and butter. Well, what can I say we didn't read the recipe until that morning. Small town grocery with tiny aisles and a little of everything in there on this day was fairly brisk business going on. We walked up from the house, brought our own shopping bag (they weren't really impressed by that) it made me giggle to myself as I bagged by own groceries and the clerk just looked quizzical at me as if she had never seen a reusable bag before. We were so disappointed when we arrived to find that they had gotten our order for one of the two trays wrong. We decided not to have them make us a new tray and just take the one that was correct. They were so apologetic and nice about it, how could we be upset? They were very kind and generous to give us a discount on the tray that we did take. So, we left happy. And you'll be very glad you stopped here when you see what some of those things cost closer to the beach. The gas station lines can get long, but they tend to move quickly, and the prices are usually great. Plus: BATHROOMS! Woo hoo! Extremely important when you've got a kiddo in the car and you're nearing the end of a long drive. I appreciate having an occasional glass of wine, and expect that it's difficult to find a quality wine selection in a small town that probably depends very heavily upon the tourist trade. Frankly, most towns known for heavy tourist traffic usually don't do well when it comes to what they stock in wines -- they usually aren't that impressive. I was truly shocked to see an excellent selection of highly-rated wines, especially for domestic Cabernet Sauvignon. If you enjoy having an excellent wine, this is the place to find it.
