But unfortunately my family had already made the decision. The deco resembling that of a sleazy night club/lounge set in the 1970's. The owner Adrian did not seem to have any care or concern for my family's loss. Praying with the family seemed more formality than anything. This is a place that should have never existed in any community let alone central Texas. The empathy shown was only for his his bottom line. If you are looking for a professional do not come here. There was no checklist nor outline given to the family that detailed what to expect for the next couple of days prior to the funeral. The only concern was when the payment would come. Who was paying and how much money they would receive. Then and only then, would we receive more information. They did not deduct the items that we asked them to remove. They charged us for a plastic floral arrangement, that the owner (Adrian) picked out. I should have expected nothing less, from an individual wearing purple shoes. Then when we naturally complained they took it off the bill. They stole the design I created for my brother's program and video and repurposed it for their use. This was done without my expressed consent or written permission. This is illegal for individual, company or other wise. They told us the night before the viewing they were closed. Which was confusing, as if they forgotten the viewing was the very next day. After that call we were called once more and asked if we could come at 8 p.m. to bring his clothes. The next day, the viewing was so unorganized, we had a video prepared that we wanted shown during the viewing. Only one individual was present and he knew nothing about technology nor the computer. The individual was just there to open the door we were informed. The owner was MIA the entire time. Some other individuals arrived and rudely told us that we could not accompany them to the back to retrieve the files from the type c drive. Just when you think the cleanup has begun for the wreckage. Cut to the next day, which was even worse. My brothers funeral, I arrived at the church to make sure everything was ready to go about 9:20 a.m., they were late bringing my brother to the church by almost an hour. On our way back from the burial the driver was lost and was unable to follow his own GPS. This was absolutely a nightmare nothing Serene about this establishment for my family nor my brother. They made a difficult situation even worse. Maybe if you get the "Deluxe" packages with the fake angles, horse and carriage this is where they shine. But since my family didn't want to "Super-Size", this is the treatment you receive. This place is solely based on the bottom line, the amount of money that's spent. How they could be the number one sought after funeral home in Central Texas (Per The Owner) is lost on me. But America does love fast food so maybe that's the appeal. In closing don't take your loved one nor anyone else you care about to an establishment that has packages, with the description of a fast food menu. This funeral home is a very dirty facility. At first, I thought the outside was unpainted for a…read moremajestic look. It was very dirty and is in great need of paint. I am not a local and don't understand how the locals accept this type of display. The interior was no better than the outside. The funeral was in the chapel which is the only reason I spent so much time there, The floors were in great need of a dust mop. The baseboards and walls were filthy with duct tape on the walls to secure the peeling outer layers of the sheet rock. The restrooms were unclean with only one roll of bathroom tissue for two stalls. There were shower curtains for stall doors with broken holding hooks. The toilets were not clean but I guess they thought that was masked with blue cleaning tablets to make the water blue. On to the grave site. OMG the chair covers! The covers were so old that they were faded with mildew stains. Not sure if they were unclean or just badly stained. How could the funeral director and staff even think that was acceptable. Gross and unsanitary! I can only imagine what condition the embalming room was in. This place is in great need of an inspection! I realize my friend was no longer alive but I have a hard time believing his experience there was sanitary or respectful. Don't know why people go there. Close this place down!
