The layout of the store is a little confusing, as per expectations in most B&Qs, but it's possible to find your way around. What I have discovered, though, is that they are often, infuriatingly, out of the one item I need. If I need a toilet-flush handle, they'll have toilet seats, toilet-roll holders, toilet brushes, but not the one thing I need. That could just be my luck, though - and the staff there have always been very friendly, with the management (and this is something extremely rare in my experience) being sensible with their returns policy. The prices in Baydis are actually very reasonable and I have often found products to be cheaper in Baydis than in Homebase (paint rollers, satin paint, sandpaper etc). They are quite a small shop but stock a large selection of the little bits and bobs you need when completing any form of DIY. This is complimented by the fact that the shop assistants are very knowledgeable and will assist you when trying to find the right item. If you need a specialist paint or anything that is hard to find in Homebase or B&Q then the likelihood is Baydis will stock it. I am glad this shop is continuing to do well considering there is a Homebase just up the road. It has the feel of a proper DIY shop and has earned itself many regular customers. I strongly recommend you check your local traders before going to nationals.
