The reviews from The Range at head office are very poor on this company which is incredible you still have a business. Luckily for me I managed to find the same garland on line at a cheaper price so have returned at another branch with a smile on my face. This shop certainly should not be trading and I certainly won't be spending anymore money at your company. Shame on you

Although some of the products on offer are somewhat cheap and nasty, most are of a high standard and sometimes even branded. Pet food is one of the best buys at the Range, with cheap fish, dog, cat and bird food. Plants are also available, but make sure to check them for dead bits or other problems. In all, a really varied store that offers a huge range but is let down by the poor quality of some products.

What really makes this particular store shine is the staff. All staff (without fail) are courteous and helpful.if you are having trouble finding something they will go out of their way to help and or find alternatives. The manager is often to be found on the shop floor, chatting with and advising staff and customers alike. On the tills, they are so friendly and chattyit really is a pleasure to shop there! On the ground floor is all the mens clothing, perfume and young female clothes makes such as Kookai. Benefit have just enlarged there area downstairs so it is now super big. Upstairs is all the ladies wear and underwear I really like it grouped like this as before you had some stuff upstairs and some downstairs. On the first floor there is also a very nice cafe. On the second floor is all the home wear including kitchen items and cushions and towels etc. the toilets are up here too but they are usually very hot, busy and dirty. There are lifts, escalators and stairs throughout the store. There is small car park out the back but very close is Tesco where you can park for free for 2 hours.

It is a bit of a maze inside with ladies clothes down stairs with concessions mainly catering for the more mature lady. The cook shop is now upstairs on the first floor this is great with hard to find cooking and baking stuff. Also on the first floor is the cafe/restaurant this is very nice and well spaced out the choices of food and drink could be a bit more varied but it usually all tastes nice. They also sell carpet, flooring, curtains and furniture.

It is usually very busy with long queues at the checkouts and you have to beg not to be given a bag no matter how little you have bought they don't seem to have caught on to the saving the planet idea yet. I always trying to think is it really worth a pound when I'm in there and often things can be cheaper at Wilkinsons. Poundland sells food, stationery, toys, books, DVDs, videos, cleaning products, toiletries and more.

They also stock labelled crisps and drinks as well as personal products. It is worth a look at easter / halloween / christmas as they ahve bargins to be had! Now after all these years my kids go here to buy me presents for bithdays and christmas shows how times have changed but some things just stay the same. Obviously the items for sale have moved on with the times, they just sell quirky pieces that are not the same as everywhere else. They are a much more personal present something a little different. The staff are friendly and helpfull and will wrap items if you need them done too. There are a couple of steps in the shop but if you have a buggy they jump to help before you could even think of asking. A great place to buy that extra speacial gift.

Also you can get some tinned food, tuna, salmon, soups. Sometimes these have pretty decent offers on so its quite handy.
