What can I say about Wilkes County Veterinary Service. The team here it first class. My husband and I always take our fur babies here when they need a check up or shots. Everyone here is very friendly and compassionate. The love they have for animals really shines through. They offer a variety of services and can sometimes make house calls locally. read more

Sherlock, our bloodhound has always found excellent care from the doctors and staff here at this office. It's a small clinic but easy to get in and out of. We've never had to wait long for an appt and they always seem to be running on time. We really feel as though they genuinely love our dog and that's a great feeling. read more

The doctors here are very nice and the overall care is good. However, when you ask them for a service (nail trim, bathing, etc.) when you board your animal they NEVER do it. When you go to pick your animal up they always say "we didn't have time." I left my dog there for 7 days while we were on vacation and asked for his nails to be trimmed. When I picked him up they asked if I wanted to wait while they did it...he was there for a week?!?!? Really.... I'm only giving 2 stars for that reason. As I said before, the doctors are very nice and do a good job. It's the small stuff like this that are very annoying. read more
