Yesterday when I was making a purchase, they were about 25 people waiting in line. They had eight checkers and they were going very quickly. When I finally reached the front, I was trying to use a coupon and they were having difficulty with it. KATHERINE and Natasha spent a few extra minutes helping me with my purchase so that I would be satisfied with my coupon. They went over and above what normal checkers would do. This is going to be a very successful store if they continued to hire such wonderful people. Kudos to. KATHERINE and Natasha.

Selection was moderately decent and the sales clerk was moderately knowledgeable about fabrics and their usage (at least for my needs). While I did find something that worked for the small project I needed to complete, I can see where this Hobby Lobby's offerings wouldn't always work for me. Despite the fact that there were very few people in the store, check out was incredibly slow. Cashiers were friendly, but perhaps a bit too friendly? Chit-chats with the customers about personal events and goings-on after their transaction is complete stalls the line and makes those of us waiting just a little aggravated.

With the exception of some of the more garishly beachy vendors, the selection is overwhelmingly great. Every booth has at least 15 things that I love, 8 that I'd actually buy, 4 I can afford, and 1 I can't live without. That's how they get me. Vendors hold sales on their booths regularly (check for 50% off vendors!!!) and you can step out of there having spent under $50 for something really special. On the other hand, there are pieces in there that are outrageously overpriced. But that's par for the course for a shop like this. I find it part of the fun, setting your eyes on a piece that's.. oops...$4,000. Chesterdales is an adult I Spy Book. Perfect for people who love framed paintings, tchotchkes of any type, particularly dishware, coastal/ rattan furniture, mirrors... the list goes on. Staff is quite helpful but not overbearing. The store is well air conditioned but not overly (if you know SWFL, you know what I'm talking about. You don't need a sweater to shop in here.) If you have the chance and are willing to spend an hour sitting through the stock, do it!
