I was a "woman on a mission" when I shopped at World Market in Naples a few days before Christmas. I was in search of the traditional English Christmas Crackers. (The kind with paper crowns, terrible jokes, and silly trinkets ... not edible crackers.) Last year none were to be found in the Estero/Bonita Springs area so this year we made a longer drive to Naples. It was worth it. The World Market at Coconut Point Mall in Estero has been closed for several years so the Naples location was my best option, other than Fort Myers. Even though the stock was a bit picked over, I was able to find an attractive set. A hit with our family on Christmas Day. I also picked up a few small gifts and wrapping supplies. This World Market is smaller than my local one in the San Francisco Bay area. But it was well laid out and staff were helpful. I have counted on World Market for 50 years, going back to when it was known as Cost Plus. Happy to find this one! read more

This was my first visit to World Market and I loved it! The store is laid out nicely with so many unique items including foods and treats from other counties, kitchen and household items as well as fun seasonal finds. The female cashier was pleasant and enrolled me in their loyalty program and I received 20% off my entire order. I absolutely LOVE World Market. I have purchased 1/2 dozen velvet pillows, they are beautiful and good quality. They have a unique food and wine section and lots of furniture, rugs, kitchenware etc.. Think IKEA meets Pottery barn or Martha Stewart. They carry seasonal items, wall art, lamps and it's very manageable and laid out nicely. Staff is helpful and they have a rewards program. I love coming to this place because of all the nostalgic and unique items that they sell. They have so much to offer here from tons of sweet treats and sodas that you probably ate growing up as a kid from the 50's, 60's, 70's and so on to the unique furniture that comes from around the world. My daughter loves the soda from Japan while I love to look at the various cultural specialties you can't find at most stores. There is also a nice selection of regional wines from France, Spain, Italy and California etc. I purchased an Indonesian Day Bed that was perfect for the guest room and couldn't be more happy with it. They do offer a delivery service for a fee and at the end of the year there are a lot of great deals and discounts that offer up to 40% - 60% on furniture and accessories for your able to wait that long. Overall great store that has a lot to offer on items your not going to find at your local supermarket or shopping stores. I typically come to World Market for all my grocery goods, i enjoy the diverse options offered from all sorts of cultures, and i enjoy the atmosphere created by any decorations and furniture that is set up. I especially enjoy how talkative most of the employees are. Not once have i gone to World Market and left feeling disappointed, never in my groceries, and never in the employees. However, after the treatment I received from a cashier named tyler, i do not think i will ever return. He was harsh with jokes, made fun of my looks and demeanor without remorse, and proceeded to call me "bro" as if we were friends, as if he did all of that to show respect for me. That is unacceptable, and I have no idea how long this cashier has been here, but it is extremely unacceptable for the environment World Market tries so hard to portray. read more

I love World Market and will go to anyone that's close to me. Thank God it's not close to me. I'd probably be a regular! I always start in the back and check the food and drinks. Lots of stuff can be found that you can't find at your usual Walmart or Publix! Then I work my way forward. I love all the vibrant colors, outdoor decs, home decorations etc. I don't go often, but I still signup for the email coupons. They send you a lot so I'll make sure to use them. They can be little ones like 15% but sometimes they send you bigger ones like 25 or 30%, so sign up and watch your email for them. This time around we bought some coffee, sauces, and stuff like that. Not too much, so I'll probably end up at another World Market before I leave town! read more

Imagine Pier One Import, Casaideas, Whole Foods and your ethnic market rolled into one. They get imported jewelry, kitchenware, home goods, and all that bic-a-bac, attractively merchandised. My favorite is their food aisles. They have stuff from literally all over the world. Koala chocolate from Japan, Tim Tams from Australia, fancy jams and cookies. If you are adventurous this is a treasure trove, and prices are very reasonable too. There are often items on sale, so I always leave with some new food to try. Just wish they have one in Miami so I can visit more often! read more

This store has awful customer service! I had a terrible encounter with a young man who rang up my purchases. No smile, no "thank you for shopping with us!" Instead, when he handed me my receipt, I looked at him and said "aren't you going to say "thank you for shopping here?"" and he told me that I was being rude to him! What a horrible way to treat a customer! I honestly don't care if this kid thought I was rude.... Worse place to come if you have a sweet tooth and are easily tempted by nostalgic goods. I always walk out with high calorie, junk. However, I have discovered their biodegrade coffee pods and it's like a tea bag but coffee. No plastic with Chemicals to deal wth. Always need lots of time to thoroughly enjoy this place. Food, jewelry, furniture, kitchen supplies, like a Pier1 on steroids. Very unusual things here, syrups from Italy, rugs, deco pillows, toys, etc. So leave hubby home, guys can be entertained by the wine collection, but still will cramp your style if you just wanna be free to roam. I'm more a Trader Joe's fan, but this large warehouse type space throwns in lots of household decor and furnishings too so you can get pillows with your Danish biscuits and exotic chips. Horrible store! Racist and just ewww! My family and I were visiting the area and decided to stop in while in the plaza. Not one hello the entire time from anyone. But the funny thing is we were followed throughout and when we decided on purchasing a quick snack. The cashier never acknowledged us gave her back to us and the patron in front of us was simply looking at her phone. Its almost as if it was set up that way so we wouldn't be serviced. I went to look for an area rug and found so much more to look at! They have cute seasonal items from around the world and cute art work for my new apartment... and so much more!! They have a staff member in every section and everyone seems eager to help which was nice I even signed up for the wine club and a saving program so I will for sure be back!! I love World Market! The only place where I can buy food and decorative items from all over the world. Sweets like Pocky and Ramune from Japan as well as Violet Crumble from Australia are all delicious snacks that I have tried from World Market and have fallen in love with. I could not be happier that I can buy my favorite foods right from a local store instead of settling to get them shipped and pay additional for shipping. Staff were helpful but I wish there were more on hand as I felt that the staff were constantly running from place to place and not doing a specific job. read more

Really nice choices from a Russian t heme with pickled beets and pickles to small tins of pate (goose, pork and chicken) - each delicious in their own right. A really nice selection from around the world (befitting their name) that is worth exploring in detail. You can't possibly walk into this store and not want to purchase simply one item - it's a foodie's dream with a tasteful boost of Martha Stewart-like items for the home and kitchen. This was only my second visit to World Market in Naples, and they made me feel like I was trying to steal something, which I would never do! I signed up for their program, and was sent some coupons, I had 3 that I was going to use. At Bed Bath and Beyond, they take all their coupons, whether or not, they are expired, and you can use multiple coupons in a transaction, so before the cashier started, I showed her the coupons, and asked if she could use them all. She told me, no problem, so she rang up my approximately $200.00 order, only to discover that only one coupon could be used. I asked her if I could remove an item to use a second coupon, and, she tried to do that, but, neither of us noticed that coupon was expired. It was a $60.00 rug I had taken off a the original order, and now, the other 2 coupons didn't work. The cashier should have known she could only use 1, and they don't take expired coupons. Then I asked her to put it back on the original order to receive the original 10% off that she had rung up first, but she couldn't or wouldn't add it to the original order. I asked for the manager. And this was the part that was really bad. I tried to explain what happened to the manager, but she was so rude, and reprimanded me, and wouldn't even listen to what happened. She did end up giving me the 10% off, and I do really like the store, but it was such a hassle, and I'm not used to being treated that way. It's not like I was trying to get something for nothing, I had 10% off the rug in the first place, and they sent me the coupons. If the cashier knew what she was doing, she would have done it right to start with, and I wouldn't have had any problem. I'm the new customer, and I don't know their policies, but they should.
