He is a new manager within the company. He was a breath of fresh air to deal with and so different to all that we had contact with prior. After some short telephone conversations a compensation deal was brokered in lieu of earlier indiscretions. Carlos is very knowledgeable about his trade and very aware of customer service. I was made aware that when we had our work done there was a very different management group in place. Thank you for caring. Rick Ismond.

Then the one time I was in a jam, I needed a washer for a kitchen tap (that they had originally installed) to allow a renovation to continue I called and got the 'we will look into it and get back to you'. This was urgent and I stated so, but never heard back during that day. I eventually called back the next day and got the 'oh, we have been busy and didn't get around to looking for that, but we will now'. Five minutes later I got the 'we looked and can't find it, maybe try Amazon'. I doubt they even looked because for once there was nothing in it for them. Very disappointing. I never contacted them back as I instead just gave up on them and moved to another plumbing contractor. But when I saw recently that Van Leeuwan won a Reader's Choice award..........well, I had to say something!

Don't use your washer - I'll be in touch. Took my $85 and said it'll be used towards the repair. Never heard a peep. Followed up on Monday and Jay returned my call. Admitted he was out of town and couldn't find the part and apologized that no one kept me updated. I told him I have the parts. Ordered off Amazon. I asked how was I able to find the part and he couldn't. I'm not into the fixing appliances industry. He couldn't fit me in until Wednesday (although I was a call from the previous week) to install them. By Tuesday they were installed by someone else. I asked what he could do for me and he offered nothing. One week and no communication. Certainly this doesn't shout "speedy" to me. An open line of communication would have been helpful too!
