This was an amazing day. Wayne was our guide and he was very knowledgeable , friendly and funny. What we really appreciated is that it was authentic. Not that, I'm a tour guide, and I'm just here, doing a job. He really loves his job. The actual ride was fun and exhilarating. The views were breathtaking. We will be booking through wild side in the future. Keeping our fingers crossed that we get Wayne again.

We went on a Rocky Mountain Winter Adventure at the beginning of February 2026. It was the off-season for Estes Park, but the weather was beautiful. There was only 3 of us other than the tour guide. Our tour guide, CE was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and willing to make the tour whatever we wanted it to be! We saw deer, elk, and various birds. Again, this was the off-season, so may be able to spot more in different times of the year. We were offered snacks, water, and hot chocolate. There was little snow, but we were able to sled! All in all, would recommend this tour/excursion to anyone looking to experience the Rocky Mountain National Park!

This was the worst experience ever. We requested Dan and we were told we would have Dan. The day of we show up with 19 people I find out we won't have Dave and Jessica the lady at the front was like oh no one called you!? Umm no cause we would if either cancelled or rescheduled. We paid a total of 1700 for everything and it was sub par. Our driver played sad music that makes you want to cry. And the one we picked was the rockin roller coaster which is literally EXACTLY like the night time s'mores one. When I talked to the owner she was no help either. Overall I won't ever go back there because of the lack of communication and the lame driver we had that played the worst music. Everyone that was on our car which was 13 of us kept complaining about the music and with each time he changed it, it just got worse. If you're off roading in a big humvee you want some rock or some up beat music. If you end up getting Keith I would absolutely cancel your ride! This will be the LAST time I waste my money on this establishment. Update to owners response, one you NEVER said he was off on Mondays for one! So you can quit lying there, two you offered me two options one a free ride and two my money back. I refused both because I why would I ride AGAIN with a company that lies. My sister was in the room when we had the whole conversation so you can stop lying at anytime to save the reputation of your business. Three I stayed till myself and kept quite the whole time so that I didn't get rude with anyone. Y'all are liars and it's sad. The owner of the company which was a lady I talked to after she kept trying to keep me in her office after I refused a refund and then finally after the 3rd time you offered me a refund I finally siad fine I'll take the refund she then says oh I have to ask my husband . This company is full of liars and I would NEVER spend my money with a lying company like this Update again to the owner! One you NEVER told me he was off on Mondays. So you guys can really quit lying cause when we walked in and you told us he was sick so which is it, is he sick or was he off cause I have 5 of my family members in the office when you said it so again you're a liar. two I kept trying to leave because I was never looking for a refund only to let her know how our experience was. Which was trash!!! And everyone on Keith's humvee that was with me agrees. So if 13 people are wrong then so be it but you can't dismiss OUR experience. Which was again TRASH! And yes I have EVERY right to be upset when you lie and tell two different stories about Dan. You have cameras in the office why don't you post them and prove me as a liar. Then when I finally agreed to a refund your wife's tune changes. Y'all are a joke and idc if you're a 5 star business. I absolutely gave yall a zero. And if me being quite their whole ride makes me rude then I guess I'm rude and I'll take that title! I have 13 people to corroborate my story. Stop being liars and if you offered me a refund and I accepted it then where is my refund you said you offered. Still waiting on that refund. Have a nice day liars!

The tour was amazing! James was a phenomenal tour guide and had all of us laughing and smiling the entire time. We saw some beautiful wildlife and learned so much about the park history.

We had a blast. Our guide Wesley the Bearded Wonder was awesome. He is very knowledgeable and more importantly, did a killer wookie impression. If you are in Estes Park, this is a must do.

I cannot speak more highly of Wildside!!! Our Jeep tour was the #1 highlight of not only Estes Park, but our whole Colorado trip! Our guide Aaron was absolutely incredible. Funny, knowledgable, so passionate about what he does, the nature, the wildlife, trees, everything. Even checking in at headquarters was a joy - everyone working was so happy, friendly, welcoming, and wonderful. Instant mood booster! Aaron customized our tour to what we were interested in / what we wanted to see and it was nothing short of spectacular. We saw hundreds of elk, a MOOSE, birds, deer, waterfalls, just so much wildlife. We had visited the park that morning for a few hours and went to totally different places that we would have never seen otherwise. Do not look further than Wildside to make your trip exceptional!

Moose at Sheep Lake - not a guarantee on a tour, but a pleasant surprise!

I would give Dave, our tour guide, 10 stars if I could. He was everything we needed and wanted in a tour guide (and then some). I can't say enough great things about this tour from start to finish. We were in Estes Park for the week with my parents who have mobility concerns. Before we booked, we expressed some of our concerns to the owner who responded promptly. Talk about a great start! The day of the tour, Dave was energetic and entertaining. The custom-made jeeps were perfect for the trip, and Dave provided an incredible wealth of information. Weather prevented us from our expected tour (Top of the World), but he quickly redirected us and found other areas to explore instead. We have no regrets! Remember what I originally asked about my parents? Dave went out of his way to make sure my father could get on and off the jeep, assisting throughout the tour. That alone is incredible! We won't hold his Chicago preference over him, though I suppose I should deduct some points for that (I kid, I kid). Seriously - this tour was simply wonderful, and we had no regrets. We had spent 4 days in RMNP prior to the jeep tour, and we still loved every minute of it!

We had such an amazing tour guide Jim who was so knowledgeable and kind. He made sure everyone was comfortable, hydrated, and could hear him. Jim also offered to take photos to help us capture this beautiful moment. This tour beat our of our expectations! What an amazing day!

Our guide, Alexis, was TERRIFIC! Full of knowledge and such a skilled driver. She provided a perfect experience for everyone. Our 7 year old even said he'd give her "a million" rating!

After researching tour companies through Yelp and other review websites I settled on Rocky Mountain Rush because of their great reviews on Trip Advisor. Though we had to contend with a rainy day, RMR did a great job of showing us some of the highlights of the park. The park itself is absolutely breathtaking (separate review) and a need-to-see experience. The RMR vehicle (pretty much a really big Hummer) is spacious and very comfortable. Since it has the capacity to become an open air vehicle, it can get a little chilly inside. Comfy fleece blankets are provided. Our guide was fantastic - he seemed to know a lot about the park's history and was truly funny. Just a couple of things... not easy to make a reservation online. I sent three requests and eventually just had to call. It is virtually impossible for me to use a phone on my work days so I would have found online more convenient. A longer tour, even by just an hour or so would be great. The park is huge so don't get me wrong... I get why you can't see everything in a few hours. Besides the basic hummer tour, they also do downhill biking adventures and wine and cheese sunset tours. Their prices are on the moderate side ($50 pp). Overall, a good service!

Tours are relatively reasonably priced (though not cheap) for the entertainment and educational bits and bobs about the places you're taken to, but for the winter tours where your exposure to several areas of the park is limited, I do think they could knock off a few bucks. We had a bit of a mishap during my tour, where my phone was dropped and my battery tumbled off a bridge and down the side of the mountain. Our guide saved the day by literally sliding down the mountain to retrieve my battered - but still functional! - phone innards. Nevermind the details about how that happened (though I wonder if it'll make it into our guide's stories from here on out), but not having that battery would have really put a kink in the remainder of FH and I's trip to Colorado, so I was thankful, if a bit nervous, that he rescued it. We would love to come back in the summertime and take one of the off-road tours, and will definitely look up this company again if we find ourselves in Estes in warmer months.

Our driver and guide Michael was an absolute star, tailoring the trip to our interests. Because we booked a private tour, we got picked up and dropped off directly from our cabin! Michael was super knowledgeable of the park itself, the ecosystems, flora and fauna. He shared lots of stories about historical figures who influenced this area in Colorado. We went to several lakes, waterfalls, and hiked in several different spots. We got to see lots of wildlife - moose, elk, deer, marmot, chipmunks, pikas, and lots of birds! The day trip was a highlight of our time in Estes Park and we're so thankful for the special care Michael showed our family. Rocky Mountain National Park: Fantastic One-Day Visit…read more We only had one day to explore Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP), so we made the most of it by hiking the Bear Lake Corridor and visiting Bear Lake, Nymph Lake, Dream Lake, and Emerald Lake. Getting an Early Start We reserved timed entry for both RMNP and the Bear Lake Corridor with a 5:00 AM entry time and entered through the Fall River Entrance. After talking with several Colorado locals, we were advised to arrive at the Bear Lake Trailhead before 5:00 AM to secure parking. We arrived around 4:30 AM, and that proved to be excellent advice. The early start rewarded us with peaceful trails, beautiful lighting, and very few people around. Hiking the Bear Lake Corridor Bear Lake is an easy, family-friendly hike of about 0.7 miles. The hike to Emerald Lake is more challenging, with approximately 1.6 miles of uphill climbing. The route passes Nymph Lake and Dream Lake before reaching Emerald Lake, and the scenery becomes more impressive with every step. The views and serenity were unmatched in the early morning hours. As we were leaving the Bear Lake area, the parking lots were completely full, and shuttle buses were already operating. Scenic Driving After the hike, we drove Old Fall River Road, a seasonal one-way dirt road that offers spectacular views and a unique driving experience. We also visited: Alpine Visitor Center Trail Ridge Cafe & Gift Shop. From there, we drove Trail Ridge Road back toward Estes Park. Along the way, we were fortunate to see: Elk Moose Bighorn sheep Seeing all three species in a single day was a highlight of our trip. Tips for Future Visitors: I highly recommend bringing: A cooler with drinks and snacks Sandwiches or a packed lunch Bug spray Sunscreen A sun hat At least one liter of water per person per hour hike. The AllTrails app (download maps in advance for navigation) The Trail Ridge Café can be crowded and expensive, so having your own food and drinks can save both time and money. Final Thoughts: Although we wished we had more than one day in Rocky Mountain National Park, we were touring Colorado for the week and had limited time. Even so, this was one of the highlights of our trip. With an early start, a little planning, and a willingness to explore beyond the main attractions, it's possible to experience some of the very best that RMNP has to offer in a single day.

Dogs are only allowed in developed areas like parking lots and campgrounds. We visited shortly after a major wildfire, and it was heartbreaking to see how much of the forest had burned. It really puts into perspective how powerful nature can be. One of the most interesting things we learned from a park ranger was that moose are considered one of the biggest wildlife concerns around dogs, even service animals. I never would have guessed that! The ranger explained that dogs can make wildlife feel threatened, which is one of the reasons the park has such strict dog regulations. If you're visiting with a service animal, I'd recommend checking with a ranger about recent wildlife sightings before heading out. That's just my personal opinion--you don't want to put yourself, your dog, or the wildlife in a dangerous situation. One unexpected highlight was spotting a beaver right along the side of the road while driving through the park! We completed three easy trails: * Coyote Valley Trail - About 1 mile round trip, completely flat with little to no elevation gain. Limited parking. * Holzwarth Historic Site - Around 1 mile round trip with very little incline. The trail leads to several historic cabins and buildings. Decent-sized parking lot. * Colorado River Trailhead - Our favorite of the three. It's also about 1 mile round trip and has the most elevation gain, although I'd still consider it an easy hike. Large parking area. Overall, Rocky Mountain National Park is an incredible place to visit with amazing scenery and wildlife. Just be sure to plan ahead if you're traveling with a dog and understand the pet restrictions before you arrive.
