This place is crooked as hell. My family and I went to pick up this dog named Diamond to adopt and…read morethey told us that she was on hold and would be off hold tomorrow. So my kids got all excited and couldn't even sleep they were so excited and we were there before open the next day. The doors open and they say, "sorry she is still on hold." What? We were the last ones out of the building last night. How can that be? "The manager/director has her on hold for friends. Um, okay? Isn't that ethically incorrect?! So we got our name down to get a call first if she became available after these people if it happens to not work out. So it doesn't work out with their family dog so we get a call. The call mind you, comes to me on a Wednesday at 11:10am. Of course any normal person would be at work. I answer and the lady says the dog is available and we wanted you to know. Ok, I'm at work until 4:30. She replies, "the dog is very high in demand with a lot of people interested in her. She is too popular to be put on hold." Um? What?! So I called back 1 hour later. They said "I''m sorry, she is more than likely going to a foster family right now. They're here to take her now." WTF?! F this place. They're corrupt. We tried an entire 4 days to get this dog and the place makes up rules as they go. Hope your animal friend isn't in high demand or you're screwed. Don't tell your family either, or they'll be broken hearted! Don't waste your time.

I was in the hospital for a week and my dog got out. When they told me to come collect her I told…read morethem my situation and that I had no one else to go get her. They brushed me off and said that because no one would collect her she would be put up for adoption and that they wouldn't give me any information from then on. I've spent the last 3 months trying to find my dog but they won't even give the new owners my information. All they said is that IF she comes back in I'll be their SECOND call. They showed no sympathy for me or my situation and didn't even give me a chance to get her. I didn't even get to say goodbye. Heartless people.

Wag - You can see the patches on her neck and bottom area. Her face was patchy too.

We have an elderly, arthritic dog who requires a lot of care. He was in yesterday, and though the…read moregrooming took a long time (requiring a lot of patience), he looks great--and hopefully feels some relief from the matting. Thank you for showing such grace and understanding with him!

I figured I'd try again, this time 6 weeks later..no lapse in time, we were early coming in for the visit so we had to come back in 20 min big inconvenience, we did and then they weren't ready for the appointment, the groomer seemed frustrated and my dogs must've felt it cause they wouldn't go with her, never been a problem when going to the groomers, I asked her if this was a good time if not we could rebook. She went on to say she's been having a rough day, but it was ok. I left them said she's call when they were ready we'll I dropped them off at 2:30 and it was now 6 so I went over there the clerk said she was having issues because of how the day was going and could I come back in 40 minutes which was closing time. I sadi ok. When I came back in was 5 min to close and my animals weren't ready yet. They brought out 2 dogs which had on the wrong harnest, I waited another 15 mins for them to bring out my other dogs, they were ready to go and it was closing time. So I left, I live in apartments very close, 5 mins maybe. When I walked in my apartment my dog i waited for the longest was limping and there was blood drops everywhere on the floor and furniture. I picked her up to see where it was coming from, it was her toe, half of her toe was clipped and bleeding, this has never happened to any of my animals. I called back over to see what happened and why they hadn't made me aware? The clerk proceeded to argue with me and everything short of calling me a liar. Then said it happened because my dogs toenails were too long, they just groomed her 6 weeks prior no long lapse in grooming. All along while I waited for them they had to try to get the bleeding under control before giving her to me. She then proceeded to tell me I can come back over and buy some medication for the bleeding they caused! I asked when the owner would be in, she proceeded to say the owner only comes in for 15 30 maybe an hour at a time and staff never knows she can try to pass a message. I will be filing a small claims case for emotional distress and return of funds for the service and vet bills. Please DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE

We were very hesitant at first because a lot of reviews I'd read I lie referred to this place as a…read morepuppy mill or purveyor of factory type dogs. We were in a situation where adoption from a humane society or rescue was not panning out (we looked for over a year for the type of dog we needed for our family needs) so we decided to research breeders and puppy adoptions. On a whim we decided to check out the pet doctor as we personally knew a couple of people who knew some of the employees. When you first walk in it does have the feel of the old pet stores you used to see in malls in the 90s with the glass wall and kennels lined against the wall behind the glass with puppies barking and playing, vying for attention from visitors. We spoke to one of be owners upon our arrival and explained our needs. She showed us the last remaining puppy of a recent litter and he was well socialized and healthy. She also explained her experiences with the breed and showed us photos of her own dog of the same breed. She explained the warranty of health and life guarantee. As long as you vet your animal everything seems as expected for purchasing a puppy. We picked him up later in the day as we had other shopping to do around town. Another lady helped us upon pickup and was also friendly and helpful. She provided us with some free food (we also purchased some puppy food) and rubbed some toys we'd purchased on his kennel mate so he would have a familiar scent in his new home. We took him home with validation of health and shot records and he took took to our family immediately. He's potty training well and appears to be in perfect health. He even slept through his first night with minimal whining. The puppies here are not cheap, but not out of line from what people ask on Facebook swap pages or regional newspaper classified ads. Do your research on breeds and average sale prices before making a decision. A puppy of any breed or cost is an investment and you have to be prepared to care for them like a child. We would definitely recommend Pet Doctor to anyone looking for a new puppy for their family.
