Originally I would of gave 4.5/5 stars because I lived here for 15 mths. When I first moved in, the place was owned by a different management company which I had no issues with. When my 12 Month lease was up my rent went from $1415 plus an additional $150 for utilities to $1860 for the month to month rent, plus an additional $350 for month to month fee then of course the additional $150 for the utilities. Overall I had the smaller two bedroom and I went from paying roughly $1565 to $2360. Upon moving out, is where things took the turn for the bad! Since I was paying month to month, I was told prior to starting month to month that I would only need to give a 10 day notice that I'd be moving out. I personally gave a 28 day notice, which I had to put in writing (thankfully I kept a copy of this). The last day of the month, I turned my keyfobs into the office and that's when suezanna updated the system that I was moving out. Which in return added an $1860 "late move out notice fee" to my account. Once I saw the late notice fee on the portal, I called the office a& spoke to suezanna, who stated the fee will be removed because I did give enough notice, but if I didn't call the fee may have stayed on there. She also informed me that roughly 12 days after move out, the portal will update. (Side note: you pay for water on the rear, so I kept checking for the portal to update so I could pay the water portion) I waited 13 days from my last conversation with suezanna & I checked the portal which the amount owed changed from $1967 to $362. Mind you I only owe for water for two months at this point which is roughly $57 for each month. I then called the office again & this is the first time I've ever spoke to Jennifer, whose the property manager and might I add she was extremely unknowledgeable, rude, disrespectful, and lacked the basic customer service skills. I was very disappointed to be honest. As I was speaking with Jennifer to see why I would be charged $200 for repaint, $100 for carpet cleaning, and $105 for apartment cleaning, she was not able to provide any answers she advised me that maintenance took pictures of the apartment once I vacated & she did not look at the pictures until now that we were on the phone and yet she was still unable to tell me the "marks" which caused the fees. I informed Jennifer that she needed to speak to me as a customer and her exact words in return where "you are not a customer, you are a ex-tenant". Anytime I would ask Jennifer a question her answer would be " I don't know" or " I didn't take the pictures". But I believe is a fail on Jennifer's part, because as the property manager you should be able to provide solid answers & also since she is updating the payment portal, she should know what she should/shouldn't be charging for. Jennifer also informed me that they DO NOT CLEAN the apartments prior to new residents moving in if the previous tenant cleaned it (even with COVID back on the rise). So the overall issue, I was having was that I cleaned the apartment myself prior to moving out. I did not have any damages and yet I'm being charged extra for things that Jennifer isn't able to provide me a answer to. I then asked Jennifer after she hung up on me and I had to call back if I could have her supervisors number & she stated her supervisor was there listening, which was a lie because she put suezanna on the phone which is who sits at the front desk. Suezanna informed me I would get a certified letter with the fees and of course I could dispute it. When i got the certified letter, it had multiple errors to include : it did not have the green slip on the back for me to sign for it or to be returned to the office that I received the letter, it did not have a date stating when the time starts because they give you 15 days to dispute & 30 days before it goes to the credit collector. From there I reached out to Jennifer's real boss who is SUSAN & here I am more than 12 days later, still waiting on a response from SUSAN. At this point, this whole management that they have is not worth anyones headache. I do not recommend this place, because they are rent gouging, & have bad customer service, read more
