Illegally had expired fire alarms in unit, that expired all the way back in 2017! Took them over a week to replace once it started chirping. Amenities were nice until they broke, gym A/C was in the 80s for weeks, hot tub was closed by health department, weight room floor had huge gaps in that were major tripping hazards for months. Absolutely not worth the rent. Units themselves are not special, poor insulation meant I could hear neighbors cooking, talking, using bathroom etc. Guest parking is annoying and they contract with a very aggressive tow company. Do not live here - worst apartment experience ever I lived in Unit C407 at Wildflower and this place was a complete nightmare. I moved in during late July, and by October 6--barely 90 days later--I was already dealing with a major roof leak in my apartment. That leak continued nonstop until it was finally fixed in April. I have photos, emails, and full documentation of everything. Their "solution"? They literally told me to put a towel down. I requested to be moved to another unit multiple times, and every single request was denied--even though I paid rent on time, in full, every month, without fail. The only reason the leak was ever addressed was because I had to involve a code enforcement officer to inspect my unit. If I hadn't taken that step, I fully believe the leak would still be happening today. The office never had any real intention of fixing it. As the leak dragged on for months, I became increasingly concerned about potential mold exposure. I requested additional testing to make sure my living space was safe. I was told they had already done mold testing and that the results came back within "standard limits." Yet the water damage and moisture were still there, constantly--so how could that possibly be considered okay? During that time, I also started experiencing frequent sinus issues and headaches--things I don't normally deal with--and I genuinely began to worry about how long-term exposure to that kind of environment might affect my health. Management showed zero concern. My A/C broke twice during my lease, and both times, my apartment spiked to 86°F while I waited around for maintenance to eventually come fix it. This is Florida, and there was absolutely no urgency in how they handled it. The entire building is absolutely disgusting. The hallways constantly smell like sewage, the carpets are stained and filthy, and it's obvious nothing gets maintained regularly. They have fire doors in place, but the door stoppers are broken, so instead of keeping the doors open like they're supposed to, they slam shut constantly. You can hear them slamming from inside your apartment at all hours as people walk through the halls. It's nonstop. Communication with the office staff was incredibly unprofessional. Emails went ignored for days. When I did get a response, it was usually passive-aggressive or completely dismissive. I was made to feel like I was being dramatic for simply wanting a safe, livable apartment. I've always paid my rent on time, followed every rule in the lease, and kept the apartment in good condition--but none of that mattered. I was treated like I was asking for too much just by wanting working A/C and a roof that didn't leak for over half the year. Living here was hands-down the worst decision I've ever made. This place is run down, neglected, and the management will not do the bare minimum unless you force their hand through outside authorities. If you care at all about your health, your sanity, or basic human decency, stay far away from Wildflower Apartments. read more

My experience living at Wildflower was not very pleasant. They do not show you the unit you are renting, only the model unit on the first floor. I asked if there was any way that I could see my actual unit, and they told me no. The apartments themselves are filthy and run down. My rug was full of dust and glitter, and my shower drain was clogged with hair! It takes maintenance forever to fix absolutely any problem. While living there, I spoke to multiple other residents, and most of them had issues with their AC and water heater. The AC units are either too small or too old and cannot keep up with the heat during the summertime. They also close the pool and jacuzzi at night, so you do not have enough time to use them when you return from work or school. Their prices do not reflect the quality of the building or the experience of living there. I recommend you look elsewhere. read more

There are so many great upgrades being done right now that are exciting - a brand new outdoor kitchen that is SO AMAZING to hang out and cook with friends, new gym equipment and new hallway carpet just to name a few! From the very beginning of living at Wildflower their welcoming nature has been such a pleasant experience that it has extended well into living through this lease. The office staff is always helpful to any resident needs whether it be parking passes, package pick up, or just inviting in to grab coffee or a treat. The property always has people working on it whether it be cleaning or upkeep of the foliage around. No complaints here surrounding communities don't offer the same amenities. Parking is available as well as visitor parking which is hard to find in this area. The amenities are great and being updated constantly and maintained. The staff are very helpful and pleasant to work with. the location is great and feels like hotel increasing the safety of the property. great community events and a great place to live! read more

The Wildflower apartments look very nice, but beauty is only skin deep. New management has anti-tenant attitude and makes living there uncomfortable. Amenities are being scaled back and rents are increasing. Location might be nice, but price and management attitude towards tenants is increasingly poor. I am a current tenant, but moving out real soon. I don't want more grief from Wildflower. read more

The loudest fire alarms in history go off throughout these apartments 2 or 3 times a month, sometimes for 30 minutes in the middle of the night. Earplugs and noise canceling earphones are useless against this volume (I've bought both specifically for this problem). I have lived in these apartments for 4 months and I'm sick of it. The apartments are nice but fitness room very shabby and I think these apartments are very overpriced. I will not be renewing my lease, I'm pretty sure I can get much better value for money and move somewhere I won't be frequently woken by these alarms. read more

My sister lives here. Their parking garage is towing central. They will tow for anything at any time for anything even parking 15 mins to meet my family before leaving to go home. Further more their carpets are stained , their walls chipped, the smell in the hallways is odd. And their front desk lady is truly a nasty person with no sympathy or helping hand when you are towed. This apartment has been my favorite apartment complex thus far. The staff is extremely responsive to your needs and are great advocates for their residents. They recently added a STUNNING outdoor kitchen and have truly stepped up to address any concerns that any residents have. The plans that they have for the apartment complex with the new updates is mind blowing. It is very satisfying to see that your voice is being heard. My 2 roommates and I love this complex. Wildflower has some of most professional and amazing staff I have ever had to work with. They respond to all concerns, maintenance request (big or small), or questions in a very timely manner. However, we have had only 2 maintenance request and one was only because we couldn't reach to change a light bulb. For 3 people our utility bill is only $30 a person usually (total of $90-100). That is with running the AC at 78 and using the dishwasher and washer/dryer at least 2 times a week each. 2 of us in a previous complex and our utility bill was $125-150 so it is built with good insulation and quality. The security is awesome. Having the gated garage and hallways that can only be accessed with a scan card, I sleep very well at night knowing that not only am I, but my car is safe as well. It is within walking distant of UF and in case it's raining there are several bus stops around that take you to campus or other parts of town. I have taken advantage of the clubhouse & pool more than I anticipated. The greatest quality of the clubhouse is that I can have a quiet study place with free wi-fi and not be worried about my safety if I study late at night (versus the library, where I worry). I agree with the below post. I have lived here for years and I am sad to see wildflower go downhill. At the same time, I have seen rent increase to prices which are un-sustainable for gainesville. The management and staff is rude and unapproachable. The halls smell awful and the carpets are stained. The gym is not kept up to date. It takes months for a maintenance order to be completed. Parking is a separate fee! I feel like these minor things would not be cause to avoid this place if only the management were friendly. However its the management + the ridiculously high rent that makes living here so difficult. Many people are searching for new places to live and I have a feeling the apartment complex will be in for a rude awakening with the number of occupants that are exploring other options. Current renters should want to stay! Many renters are searching for better options, such as the newly opened and cheaper Bartram. We would love if the apartment complex gave us a reason to stay such as holding rent prices steady or waving the parking fee. But the hostility of the management had as made it clear they are not open to even explaining the rent increase, much less having an open discussion about it. read more
